What a treat! Disney released 11 new posters for the remake of The Lion King coming to theaters July 19.
Each poster introduces the character and the actor voicing the character in the live-action remake of this Disney classic.
The new version of the film is directed by Jon Favreau, who also led the remake of The Jungle Book. This new version will use CGI technology similar to the technology used in the The Jungle Book remake.
The voice cast has been known for a while, but this is the first time the cast has been associated with their characters on posters. And it is a star-studded cast, led by the return of James Earl Jones as Mufasa, a character he voiced in the original animated film.
The new film lands in theaters on July 19.
Let’s not forget the younger version of the stars of the film’s Simba and Nala! They get their own posters as well.
In addition to these posters, we were also treated to a new 30-second teaser trailer for the film.
