Animal Kingdom introduces “The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic” show along Discovery River at 9 and 10:30 p.m. each night. This show uses the space on the river and outdoor seating designed for the “Rivers of Light” show that has been delayed. According the official description, “Come along as impressions of the film’s iconic characters take you on a journey following Mowgli’s exciting, perilous and sometimes hilarious jungle encounters. Watch as barges teeming with jubilant singers, Indian musicians and colorful performers take to the waters and enhance the tale with music and song—while fellow players join in from nearby river banks. And thrill to the breathtaking sight of light displays and massive water screens projecting imagery from the blockbuster film!”

FastPass+– a must!

Dinng Packages — Special dining packages for the new limited-engagement nighttime show, The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic are now booking at both Tiffins and Tusker House Restaurants for shows starting May 28. Similar to the popular Fantasmic! Dining Packages at Disney's Hollywood Studios, the Dining Package includes reserved seating for the nighttime show.

  • At all-you-care-to-eat Tusker House Restaurant, you can choose the breakfast, lunch or dinner buffet on the day of the show (but you have to dine at least 2-1/2 hours before the show). Breakfast is $37, $23 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity; lunch and dinner, $49, $30 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tusker House Restaurant is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as one table-service meal.

  • At Tiffins, the package includes your choice of appetizer, entree, dessert and non-alcoholic beverage at either lunch or dinner. The Dining Package is $67 for adults, $32 ages 3 to 9, plus tax and gratuity. Tiffins is on the Disney Dining Plan and counts as two table-service meal credits.

Tips: You’ll want to get a FastPass+ reservation or reserved seating with a dinner package for The Jungle Book: Alive With Magic for the best seating and to avoid standing for more than an hour in the standby queue. Seating opens for those with FastPass+ and dinner packages at 7:30 p.m., even though the tickets say to arrive at 8:25 p.m. We arrived about 8 p.m. and still got great seats.

Seating: The seats are hard concrete. You may want to bring a towel or a seat mat to sit on. Reports also state the concrete gets very hot during the day!

NOTE: Due to the Rivers of Light Postponement, Disney has announced The Jungle Book: Alive with Magic will take place beginning May 28, 2016 on the Discovery River.
