Pros: great pool and location
Cons: long walk to pool

We recently stayed 10/24-31 in a 1 bedroom villa and loved it. We are a family of 4 and it was just the right size. I loved the washer/dryer and having a kitchen. I had pre-ordered a small amount of stuff from Garden Grocer which was also great.

We stayed in room 371 (the green building). This was a little far from the pool, but I am 6.5 months pregnant and it was really hot out, so everything seemed like a walk to me. The room had a view of the Illuminations and partial view of Wishes. Stormalong Bay was the best for our small kids. They loved the sandy areas for digging and playing. We ate at Hurricane Hanna's, The Cape May Buffet (twice) and got snacks at the Marketplace. The food was all good. We also had ice cream at Beaches and Cream. This was all convenient with the small kids. The dining plan was the best. So much food.

It was also convenient to be able to walk to Epcot and the Boardwalk. Plus, HS is a short boat ride away.

My biggest complaint of the entire trip was transportation. Magical Express took 2.5 hours from the time we landed until arriving in the room. The daily bus transportation to MK was always a min. of 25-30 min wait, so the door to door trip was an hour. This is hard with small kids. They lose their patience fast. On a morning where AK opened early, we waited while 4 buses for MK came and went. Then this happened on MK's EMH day. We had 3 buses for AK. We ended up canceling dinner reservations at the Wilderness Lodge because the night before it took us 1 hr 15mins to get to Polynesian.

Aside from that, I would love to go back.

Pros: proximity to Epcot and Studios; pool
Cons: rundown room, bus service, lack of counter service options

We stayed in a studio at the Beach Club Villas from Sept. 16-20. Myself, DH, and kids ages 4 and 6. We are not DVC members but our friends are, and they booked the reservation for us using their points. We had never stayed at the Beach Club before and the location was everything I thought it would be. The 5 minute walk to Epcot was awesome, as was the 15 minute walk or boat ride to the Studios. The buses to AK and MK share with other resorts, so be aware of that.

Our room had a few minor issues. The towel rod in the bathroom was falling out of the wall, and the cabinet that housed the fridge's door was half off the hinges. Also, one of the lights was out over the bathroom vanity. The carpet was worn and stained in several spots. Nothing major but still a disappointment.

The studio was a decent size but definitely felt small with 4 of us in it. We were starting to feel cramped by the end of our stay. Also, our room looked out over a very busy road which was very loud. As a result we didn't use the balcony because the noise was so bad.

The YC/BC complex pool, Stormalong Bay, is amazing. Like no other pool we've been to at WDW. The one other negative is the lack of a true counter service restaurant here. The BC Marketplace is small and the selection isn't great. Otherwise we had a good time there and are glad we tried the Epcot area. Next time we'll be back "home" at one of the MK area resorts.

Pros: Great Location
Cons: None

We belong to Boardwalk Villa's and for our Sept. trip they did not have a room available, so we ended up staying at the Beach Club Villas and we were surprised as to how great this place is. We always thought that it was a long walk to the bus stops and Stormalong Bay but to our surprise it wasn't. For our Dec. trip this year we are staying at the Boardwalk but we are on a waiting list for the Beach Club. Either place, we will be very pleased.

Pros: Great Location & Fantastic Pool
Cons: Distance from main resort?

I highly recommend the Beach Club Villas. We recently stayed in a studio from 8/30 - 9/5 using rented DVC points and we couldn't have had a better time. I know a lot of people complain about the small size, but for us (two young adults and a 3 year old), it was perfect. It was so convenient having a kitchenette too and it saved us a ton on food.

The staff was friendly and attentive, the pool was a blast and a half, and the convenience of walking 5 minutes and being in Epcot was unparalleled. As an added bonus, from our balcony, we could watch Illuminations on one side and then Wishes on the other. If you have an opportunity to stay in this hotel, do it; you won't regret it.

Pros: POOL, Closeness to EPCOT and DHS
Cons: NONE

After staying at Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian, Polynesian & Contemporary we feel the Beach Club is hands-down best hotel to stay at. The walking distance to EPCOT and DHS is key when you have older children. Also the pool is the best around. They have games at 5:00 daily which are a lot of fun, the movies on the beach are great and the lazy river is another great feature. The rooms in the villas are really like being home (we had 1 bdrm for 4 of us). Two years ago we couldn't get reservation so we did Boardwalk, but couldn't wait to get back to BC. Our favorite place to visit.

Pros: Great location
Cons: not a great room layout

We stayed at the BCV with a large family reunion 6/26-7/3. We loved the convenience of having Epcot and the Boardwalk so close. The rooms had a strange layout in the Mastersuite bathroom...too many doors that led to the same place...I had to lock 2 doors just so no one would walk in on me when I was showering. Our whole group thought the layout was odd. But not worth complaining about! The BCV was spectacular! The management and front desk people were SOOO helpful with whatever we needed! They were even able to get my 94 yr old grandfather on a parade float at Animal Kingdom's Mickey's Jungle Jamming Parade! They were the BEST!

Pros: location
Cons: none

My family (husband, three year old daughter, & in-laws) stay here May 6-13. 2009. (My husband & I had stayed here 10 years prior on our honeymoon & that is why we chose to come back to the Beach Club). We stayed in a two-bedroom villa. Everything was great. We did the on-line check in prior to our arrival & everything was ready when we arrived at noon time. The Cast Members front desk were great, they gave us two roses- one for our anniversary & one from my daughter's first visit(Nice touch). I love the location of this resort to Epcot. When spending the day in the Macig Kingdom, we would walk thru Epcot to get the monorail. The main pool was amazing & the quite pool was great for a quick dip at night to cool off. Housekeeping were very nice & prompt when we needed fresh towels. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a villa style room. We are not DVC members & would love to stay at this location again.

Pros: Awesome pool, close to Epcot and MGM
Cons: dining options not that great

I just returned from a trip to WDW from June 5 to June 12, 2009. My family and I stayed at the Beach Club Villas for the entire length of our stay. I thought the resort was really nice. The main pool was absolutely amazing and I would stay at this resort again just for that. Our room was the last room at the very end of the villas section, so it was a VERY long walk to go anywhere. If I stayed here again, I would like a room closer to all the action (although it was nice being able to watch Wishes and Illuminations from our balcony). The dining options weren't the greatest. I would have liked to see more quick service options. Overall, this resort would probably rate as #3 on my list, tied with Boardwalk villas and just below Wilderness Lodge Villas and Old Key West villas.

Pros: everything
Cons: none

Did on-line check-in and villa was ready when we got there around 1:00. We were right near the quiet pool. The cast members were really sweet and the service at Cape May Cafe was excellent. Since it rained all week long it was nice to have a restaurant in the hotel. Being next to Epcot was great especially since we were soaked from all the rain. This resort is #2 on our list, I liked it better than Jambo House at Animal Kingdom Lodge. It is just so convenient when traveling with 7 children. They really enjoyed the main pool, but it was nice being next to the quiet pool where I could watch them swimming from my patio window. I am a DVC member and would definitely book this resort again.

Pros: Locaction, Pool
Cons: none

We loved the Beach Club, 5/10-15. We used the on-line ck-in service (dvc)& we were greeted immediately, welcomed & ushered to the front desk. Everyone was very nice we even had all requests met and our room was ready & spotless. Big Wow! We loved everything at Villas. The Big Pool is fantastic & just for Beach & Yacht club.(2 quiet pools too.) Staff was superb, the lobby and grounds are beautiful. Cape May was delish! Absolutely no complaints.

Location is superb, we can't wait to go back in August.

Pros: great pool, good location
Cons: some luxuries unavailable in villas

Our family of four just returned from the Beach Club, and I have to say that we loved it! We had a Studio which was just fine since my children are still small. We found the service in the hotel to be so friendly and welcoming. We were greeted at the door and escorted to the front desk where we were introduced to a CM who checked us in. My children left the desk with so many buttons, stickers, and coloring books they didn't know what to do! The hotel is beautiful inside and out. Our family took full advantage of the beach and pool. It was great! My kids loved the beach front movies at night and watching the Epcot fireworks during the movie.

One caution about choosing any of the villa accommodations: Housekeeping is only offered on stays over 7 days. Towels are changed and trash is taken out on the fourth day. If you enjoy daily housekeeping service, this may not be the place for you. I called one morning after my son had an accident in his sleep. I asked for a bed change and was told that, if they changed it, I would be charged $30 for full service. I was given the option of being brought fresh sheets and changing them myself. That was a little disappointing. I knew about the housekeeping schedule, but I had assumed that they would be willing to help in special circumstances.

Also, late check-out is not extended to those in the villas. We just went ahead and checked out before our final round at the parks. The bell desk took good care of our bags while we were gone.

Overall, a great place. I would stay there again. No question.

Pros: Location to Epcot and boardwalk
Cons: Size of room and Front Desk

We stayed at the Beach Club for the first time with our 18 month old daughter the last week of April in a opne bedroom villa. Overall the room and front desk was well below expectations, but the resto of the hotel and staff were outstanding. Great place to visit, but probably won't stay again.

The Pro's - The main reason we wanted to stay here was the proximity to Epcot. It was great especially with a sleeping baby in a stoller. We loved being able to stroll over to the boardwalk at night. Cape May Cafe was outstanding. We now have a new favorite breakfast place.

The Con's - Front desk support. We checked in and were told that our room was available. We parked out carry, carried all of our luggage to the room and found it locked. We went down to the front desk and they told us the room was not available and they would call us. An hour later they called us and we went to the room again and again, the keys would not work and again the room was still not available. This actually happened two more times that included us having groceries in the car before we finally got in.

Room size and light - Our balcony was a decent size, but definitely smaller than other DVC resorts. My wife and I could barely sit on the balcony together. The room itself seemed smaller than the other DVC resorts with a smaller kitchen and barely any room to move around with just two people in the room. It also appeared that the design prevents only a but slect few rooms to get any direct sunlight. It was constantly dark in our room. Not exactly what we were looking for in a "beachy" kind of place.

We love Epcot so we are going to try to stay at Boardwalk next time and see how that is.

Pros: Location and theming
Cons:

What a great resort! We stayed here 4/22 through 4/26/09 and had a garden view one bedroom. The villa was immaculate and had wonderful ammenities. The location was great and the sweet scent in the lobby was really relaxing. Mousekeeping was good throughout the stay. Beach Club Marketplace was okay for counter service, but not too many options. Also, bus service was hit or miss. Some days it was great and other days were a waiting game. We ordered in room dining one night. The food was good and arrived quickly. SAB was really wonderful - worth staying here for that alone. The theming of it was tremendous.

We will be staying here again and would highly recommend it.

Went for an anniversary for the weekend and was not disappointed. Location was why we chose this resort.
