Pros: Good food
Cons: Poor service, not accomodating

We ate on Wednesday, November 4 for dinner. We arrived 30-min early for our ADR and requested a tank side table and stated we were willing to wait. We were told they would put in the request, but couldn't guarantee anything. We were seated about 2-min later, four rows back in a booth. I have a 16-month old daughter and I had requested a high chair, and was presented with a booster seat. For any parents out there, you know that you cannot keep a 16 m/o in a booster seat with no straps in a booth. By the time we ordered our drinks she was all over the place and we knew this wasn't going to go well. We asked our server to move us to a table or provide us with a high chair. She brought us a high chair that clips onto the table. This chair kept collapsing on my daughter and needless to say led to a very unpleasant experience.

We felt rushed, unappreciated and the weren't willing to accommodate us. All the while, we watched several groups be seated by the tank at tables.

My daughter who loves fish and Nemo got to sit in a collapsing high chair and see nothing.

The food was good though.

Pros: The tank is beautiful
Cons: slow service, sub par food

We had dinner here on Oct. 19. Had ADR for 7:00, and we were seated by 7:15. From here it just went downhill.

The service was extremely slow. Our server was pleasant, but not at all efficient. We ordered the appetizer for two, which was a huge dissapointment. The crabcakes were so tiny they were barely there, and the lobster soup was very bitter and not edible. I ordered the Mahi Mahi, which was very salty and otherwise totally unremarkable. My husband ordered the steak, and said it was very plain and not anything he would eat again. We were very disappointed.

The view is beautiful here, but the food is just not good. With all the amazing restaurants at EPCOT, having a meal here is a total waste. We will not be back.

Pros: Everything
Cons: none

Coral Reef Is a GREAT PLACE to dine. You may hear that it's loud but not loud enough to yell at each other. September is when I go and it is not
noisy at all.

The meal is great big portions and cheap prices, good drinks and good service. The fish tank is large but if you don't get a seat by the tank,
its no big deal. No matter where you sit, you can see different fish. If it's your birthday, they will give the kids Finding Nemo gift bags.

Pros: Good food, great service
Cons: Tables around us weren't cleared

We had ADR for 8:15 and weren't seating for probably 30 minutes. I asked to be seated close to the aquarium and was told it would be an additional 30 minute wait so we were seated near the back of the restaurant. Our food was very good. We ordered the Mahi Mahi and the steak. Our server was wonderful and very engaging. He shared interesting information about the aquarium and was quick to remove an appetizer and soup from our bill when he realized they had forgotten to bring it out in a timely manner. Since we were there near the end of the day, tables around us weren't cleared as people left because they weren't coninuing to seat new parties. It was pretty unappetizing to sit and look at tables full of leftover food and empty drink glasses all around us. Also, the tables near the aquarium were all but empty when we left so I was a little peeved that my request was ignored. We still enjoy this restaurant and will probably book here again but plan to eat there earlier in the day.

Pros: great atmosphere, food delicious, great service
Cons: non

We had a very short wait. My husband is sensitive to noise levels and this was perfect. The food was delicious, especially the desserts. Our waiter was wonderful. I highly recommend this, especially if you can be seated near the aquarium.

Pros: Food and theming
Cons: Slow service/Dessert Choices

Ate here in September and the food was very good. Service was slow but it was down to the amount of tables our server was looking after and no reflection on him.

Pros: setting
Cons: noisy

We had lunch here on 10/7 and considered it one of the best meals of our trip. We had an ADR and were actually seated about 15 mins. early. We were concerned after all the bad reviews but are so glad we went anyway. We requested and were seated next to the tank which was incredible! Service was great and the food was delicious. It was noisy but you are at WDW and that just comes with the territory. I would highly recommend the chocolate wave!

Pros: Great food and wine, the views
Cons: the noise!

We went in to this one not knowing what to expect b/c of all the negative reviews. Were seated promptly at the time of our reservation which was nice. Service was average - but she was also trying to take care of a table of 15 next to us with four screaming kids so i'll cut her some slack.

food was amazing! had the mahi mahi and all of the flavors blended together perfectly. DM had steak and she said it was ok - cooked perfectly medium rare but overly salty. she also asked for no dressings or sauces of any kind but they were on the plate regardless.

for dessert, DM had the chocolate wave which she loved and i had the bailey's and jack daniels mousse. i'm not a big chocolate fan but it was really good, and they added a little chocolate "wave" that said happy birthday!

this place is very noisy and unless you are seated close to the tanks, you don't have a great view of the fish. i would recommend requesting a close seat with the hostess

Pros: the aquarium
Cons: too many desserts have alcohol - not enough choice for the kids

We ate here on Tues. Sept. 29th for lunch. We were taken in right on time. We were seated right opposite the aquarium and there was no one sitting in front of it, so we had a great view. We got to see the diver feed the fish - very cool!!
The food was good. it wasn't my family's favorite, but it was all good. DH had the short ribs and couldn't stop talking about them. DD12 loved the almond gelato dessert. DD 10 was told by the waitress that the Jack Daniels mousse had the alcohol cooked out - but it tasted strongly of alcohol and she couldn't eat it. The waitress also told us the chocolate wave had no alcohol - I don't think she knew what she was talking about.
Overall, it was good, especially if you like the aquarium.

Pros: The fish tank
Cons: Better variety of seafood/fish

We ate here on Friday 10/2 and this was our first time. We really enjoyed looking at the fish tank and we saw so many things, including all the divers participating in the Dive program. We saw "Crush" (giant green sea turtle) and all different kinds of fish. They give you a Fish guide when they seat you. The menu is limited and I believe they should consider putting more seafood selections on it. There were several kinds of fish, but no seafood. There were only seafood selections for appetizers. We were on the Disney Dining Plan and appetizers are no longer included, which was fine by us. There was only 1 meat selection which was a strip steak. 3 out of 4 of us had the strip steak, which was ok. My father had the Mahi-Mahi which he stated was good. The desserts were good, the service was ok. Our waiter didn't have much personality. I would eat here again, this time maybe requesting a closer seat to the tank as we love aquariums.

Pros: atmosphere, desserts
Cons:

I was surprised that the menu didn't include much seafood. I was expecting more variety. I did have the salmon and it was good, and the dessert was excellent.

I had hoped the fish tank would keep my son entertained, but we ended up sitting fairly far away so he couldn't really see it. We waited a bit to be seated, so we didn't want to wait any longer for a closer table.

Pros: The ambiance (the fish tank)
Cons: Food and wait.

If it wasn't for the fish tank, I would've been much more disappointed in this restaurant. We had a reservation for 5:30 on Tuesday, September 29th and were handed a beeper and told that they were about 15 minutes behind in reservations. We waited an 20 minutes past our reservation time. So that was already a bad start to our experience. Luckily we took our 2 year old over to the Nemo ride to keep him occupied while we waited and got right on.

Once we sat down our server who was awesome the whole meal, took our drink order and as we looked at the menu I realized I didn't like anything on the menu. Don't get me wrong, I love most shellfish, etc. But they mostly had fish on it. They should think about putting a shrimp dish, or even scallops. We were on the meal plan and I asked the server if I could just do a salad and crab cake appetizer, and she let me. My husband got the tilapia which was okay.

It's a fun restaurant for the kids to experience with the huge fish tank, but other than that you might as well go in during lunch hours and show them the tank and then leave. Not worth the money.

Pros: great fish and service
Cons: trouble getting a table

We arrived at 6:55 thinking we had a 7:00 reservation but the host informed me that it was actually at 7:30. I apologized and offered to come back but he said not to leave because he could seat me in 15-20 minutes. I asked him if he was sure that was OK and he ASSURED me it was. So 35 minutes later we are still waiting and started talking to another couple who actually had a reservation at 7:00 and was still waiting as well. When we mentioned that we noticed that someone who complained to the host was seated right away the other couple went up and spoke to the host. Sure enough they got a table within minutes. By then we had waited 40 minutes so I went up and spoke with the host and he told me it would be another 15-20 minutes. I told him that I was upset that he had made me wait over 40 minutes when he said it would only take 15-20 minutes, especially after I had offered to come back later. He said he couldn't do anything about it but within minutes our buzzer went off. Moral of the story - check regularly with the host to see if they still remember you're waiting.
Once we were seated we had a great meal. Our waiter was so nice that my frustration at the host dissapated quickly. We had the fish special which was quite good and my son had the chicken which he liked as well. The creme brulee was great for dessert. The one thing that we found interesting was that our fish was served over the same risotto that we had at Le Cellier and the chicken over spatzle that looked like it came from Biergarten. The risotto was great at Le Cellier but I really hoped for something different. Hopefully this isn't a clever way of using up leftovers!

Pros: good service, easy reservations, good variety
Cons: small portions, very loud and crowded

We ate here for dinner 9/10. There was a decent variety of food for people who aren't necessarily seafood eaters, like us.

I got the seasonal catch, a whitefish of some kind. The fish was very good, juicy and flavorful. At first I thought they had forgotten my sides - till I moved the fish and saw the tablespoon of couscous underneath. Really? That's a side?

DH got the steak, which was also very tasty and had a reasonably-sized side.

The desserts were unique, and tasty also.

Our server was good and kept our drinks and bread refilled.

We wouldn't mind coming here again if our first choices weren't available, but it's not on our list of "must do's".
