Les Chefs de France must have improved. I was very wary of trying this restaurant after so many negative reviews, but I actually had a great experience here on 7/6. My husband and I came for a dinner on a parents only trip. We were a bit early but they checked us in early. We got a table for 2 near the windows and had a nice view of Epcot. Our waiter, Malik, was very courteous and checked on us often, but not annoyingly so.
We ordered the escargot (a bit drenched, but still good) and then ordered from the prix fixe menu for $40 each. I had the lobster bisque which was excellent with plenty of lobster meat. My husband had a salad which seemed to be good. I had the beef dish while my husband had the salmon. Both were good meals. My only disappointment were the puffs with ice cream. I had heard that they were excellent but they were rather dry and hard when I had them. My husband had a chocolate cake which was excellent.
Overall a great experience.

They changed the sauce for the shrimp and scallops meal and now it's very soupy. The best item we had was the lobster bisque. Remi came by but he was only uncovered for a brief amount of time, his aide did a lot of talking.

We ate at Le Chefs de France last week while on the DDP. This was the second time we've eaten here, but the first time eating here for dinner.
We were about 10 minutes late for our ADR, as the movie in France ran a little longer than what we were expecting. Once we reached the podium we were seated almost immediately in the area close to the windows where you can see out to the streets of Epcot.
One thing my Mom commented on was how close together the tables were. We could physically reach over with little effort and touch the table next to ours.
Our drink orders were taken and a baguette brought out to the table with some butter. The baguette was a shade softer than a rock. It was still edible, but definitely not the softest baguette I've ever had. Around this time a toddler at a table diagonal from us began screaming. This would pretty much go on for the entire time they were there, which was about half our meal. I know the restaurant couldn't help it, but it wasn't pleasant hearing a child scream all the way through your dinner.
For a main course, my Mom and I both got the beef tenderloin filet, which came with green beans and au gratin potatoes. The green beans and au gratin potatoes were wonderful. The steak was very tender, but also very flavorless, even with the sauce. I have a steak au poivre recipe, and it is much better than the version we got in in Le Chefs. For dessert, we both got the crepe. I enjoyed mine, and while my Mom liked hers, thought it was a little strong in the alcohol department. Our waitress was nice, and never let our glasses go empty. Our bill for two came to $116.
Overall, I'll probably come back here, but likely for lunch, not dinner. I don't think the food quality justifies the dinner prices.

We ate here for lunch June 12th. We were seated right away, but our meal took an hour to arrive. My onion soup was hot on top but cool in the middle. The best part of the meal was the French bread we were given as an appetizer. My husband's 1/2 lb. hamburger was nowhere near 1/2 lb. When we tried to complain, our waitress acted like we just didn't understand or appreciate French food. People around us were getting food before us, but there was no apology. We wished we had saved our money for the French counter service instead.

My family always enjoys Les Chefs de France. My daughter and I dined there for lunch on June 4.
This time, I chose the prix fixe lunch and had the onion soup, croque monsieur, and creme brulee (possibly the most stereotypical French meal ever!). I actually enjoyed the soup and the dessert more than I enjoyed the sandwich. It was fine, but the starter and the dessert (which I shared with my daughter) were better. My daughter chose the mahi sandwish for her entree, and she said that it was "about a seven on a scale of one to ten."
The service was good, and the restaurant has a nice ambience. We were seated beside a window, so we enjoyed the great view of the France area of the World Showcase while we dined. I wish that the tables weren't quite so close together; I felt that I could overhear my neighbors' conversations all too easily.

My husband and I ate at Les Chefs de France on May 28. This was our second table service meal of our trip and it was BY FAR the best meal of our week!! My husband ordered the filet and I had the salmon. We both really enjoyed our meals (especially the green beans!). Our waitress was really fun and spoke just the right amount of French and English. In addition, we were seated in the front room facing the lake so it was nice seating. The service was quicker than most table service meals. For dessert, my husband got the chocolate cake and I had the creme brulee. Both were delicious. This was my eighth time going to WDW and this meal was quite possibly the best meal I have ever had there besides Le Cellier!

We tried Chefs on our last trip to WDW and the service was horrendous. But that was 4 years ago, and it looks like they've turned things around!
The food il était magnifique! We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated by the windows at the front of the restaurant within about 5 minutes of arriving. Our waitress was so very kind and attentive. Yes, it is a bit noisy; however not so loud that you must shout or lift your voice to your dining partner(s).
DH did the pre-fix which he chose to have the French Onion Soup (the portion was very large as in not a cup but more of a bowl size), broiled salmon with lots of veggies, and the profiteroles for dessert.
I had the Salade de Chevre Chaud and the scallops, mahi mahi, and shrimp dish. OH! And shared the dessert w/ the DH.
The food was beyond fantastic and is why we will come back again and again. Thank goodness the service has improved!

No Remy on Sundays
|
|
We dined here on May 15th. Since it was a Sunday, Remy did not make an appearance, and we were disappointed, especially since we did not know beforehand that he takes the day off. Don't know why he's not there on Sunday. HOWEVER, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everyone loved the lobster bisque. It came in a big bowl so I was able to share with my daughter. She got the kids meal, with chicken she didn't care much for (she didn't like the tomato sauce), the cheese pastry appetizer, and a dessert that I don't remember. Since she didn't like the chicken much, I shared my mac and cheese with her, which was enough to still have some left over! It was really rich, but really good. I got profiteroles for dessert and they were really good, but I LOVED the coconut sorbet my husband got in a trio of sorbets. I should have gotten that since after the lobster bisque and the mac & cheese, it was lighter than the profiteroles I got. But they were good too! I do want to mention that several years ago they gave us a more French-tasting butter with our bread, it was molded into the shape of a chef and I know it's only butter but it was one of the nice touches Disney used to do - this time we got a regular packet of butter from Wisconsin. I suppose Disney is affected by the economy like everyone else. It was quite a good meal though and I'd definitely eat here again!

6 of us dined here last month and everyone was pleased with their order. The adults all had the pre fixe meal which we thought was good value, considering Disney pricing. The quiche is always perfect, the Creme Brulee is the best I've ever had. We like that our meal comes with those great hot baguettes with butter, perfect for dipping in the Lobster Bisque! We always like to come here for a late lunch, making it our big meal of the day. After 1:30 or so it's easier to get a good table and the wine by the glass selection is well balanced.

Had dinner here on Saturday May 7th. After a full day of EPCOT, what a nice way to relax with a glass of wine and unwind before Illuminations. We were on the DDP so we had the 3 item prix fixe choices. The French onion soup was great, the romaine salad was just ok. The beef tips were very tender and tasty. The salmon was a bit overcooked and dry. The creme brulee was yum and the ice cream with puff pastry and chocolate sauce was very rich and delicious. Overall a very nice experience.

Our waiter, Francois, was very attentive and engaging. He went beyond by talking to our daughter who is in her 1st year of learning French. Tried the escargots for the 1st time which were delicious. My husband fell in love with the taste of duck. Desserts were also especially yummie. Great dining experience.

Tried this as our first Disney dining experience and after 9 days it was our least favorite. I will say the lobster bisque soup was great, but the main courses where kind of plane and not real flavorable. Should gave went to Italy or mexico instead, but on the positive side the waiter was polite!

Our server was excellent and made recommendations for an appetizer and I tried it. I really enjoyed it even though it was outside of my normal comfort zone of eating. I was not a great fan of the quiche Lorraine but I had never actually had the "French" version just an Americanized version. The dessert selection was great as well. I would eat here again and get the mac and cheese that my daughter had, it looked delicious and she would not share!

What a beautiful restaurant! The food was sumptous. We had the prix fixe lunch special (lobster bisque, quiche & creme brulee). It was priced reasonably and so tasty. The French waiter speaking French to the guest at the next table just added to the ambience.
