Pros: Characters, Service and food
Cons: Character portion of dinner no more.

I am so sad that this is no more. Our server was awesome and the characters did an amazing job with their interaction.

We do not have kids and Chip and Dale were just great with us. Food was great/macaroni was a bit on the salty side. Now that the characters are gone I would be more inclined to do this at lunch rather than dinner just because it would be cheaper.

If you want a very home cooked meal/Thanksgiving ish/holiday meal/ with trimmings then this is it! This is not a meal you want on one of Florida's hottest days, food would sink to the bottom of your stomach and stay there. Plan on taking it easy after eating here, don't rush off to space orbiter!

Pros: Good Food for all
Cons: none

We ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern on Jan 8, 2009. We had a 7pm reservation, checked in about 10 min before and was seated just a little after 7pm. There is no more character dining here which is why we chose to come here after like 10 years. The food was very good. Salad, rolls, mashed potatoes, gravy, mac and cheese, ham, turkey, and steak, and stuffing. The ham comes with like a pineapple mustard sauce on top so if you don't like it, ask to have it plain. The dessert was apple cobbler that night and it was good too. Overall the food was enjoyable and as a history major, I loved the atmosphere.

Pros: atmosphere, stuffing and most other food
Cons: none

Usually we wait forever to be seated at Liberty Tree even with ADRs but on our most recent visit - Sunday, 1/4/09 we were seated within 10 minutes.

The food, served family style was very, very good. The salad was terrific and the rolls were served nice and warm. The turkey, beef, potatoes, stuffing (especially the stuffing!), green beans and mac & cheese were all very, very good. The ham was a little dry but that's my only negative.

I believe we visited on one of the last days that they were doing character meals. We saw Chip & Dale, Minnie, Mickey, Pluto and Goofy. Pluto was especially silly - making everyone laugh throughout our section of the restaurant.

Service was quick and pleasant. Overall a very good choice.

Pros: Great Waiter
Cons: Food just ok

Characters are no longer at this restaurant! Food is served family style at Liberty Tree Tavern. We had a wonderful waiter. He actually took the time to talk to us. After 8 days, he was the only waiter who did not seem rushed and was very friendly. We felt we were eating a Thanksgiving meal. Heavy on the carbs and food was not great but ok. Was it worth $150 (no alcohol)? No. This seems to be what we are experiencing at DisneyWorld. Way overpriced for the quality of food received.

Pros: Great Food
Cons: none

I went to the Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time this year since they got rid of the characters. We also didn't eat here for the last few years because the dinner reservation people kept saying it was a 2 Table Service restaurant and this year it was only 1. The food was really good, except the macaroni is rich. But all in all, it's really good.

Pros: great food, excellent character interaction
Cons: small bathrooms created a wait

I'm so sad that the character dining is going away because it was fabulous! The characters were a lot of fun and really played around with my kids (8 and 5). We ate here at 4 p.m. on Dec. 26th.

The food was really good and plentiful. Our server was very friendly and very attentive. I'd eat here again even if the characters aren't there because the food was good.

Pros: everything!
Cons: can't believe its ending!

We just love this character dinner & have eaten here many times. We're from MA, so the LTT is just like home. Smile We love the atmosphere and the characters spend a good amount of time with you. The food rocks too! We're so sad that our November 08 trip was our last character dinner here!

Pros: atmosphere/food
Cons: none

We had dinner here Christmas Eve - close as we could get to a traditional Christmas dinner in the parks. The Characters were a hit even had Minnie mortify our teenager by kissing him several times. (which made dinner for us). The food and wait staff were awesome. Family style dining but they were always there to ensure we had plenty and our drinks were always full. I am so sad that character visits will be over the end of the year.

Pros: characters, atmosphere, food
Cons: n/a

I am so sad they are no longer going to be offering this dinner! This was one of our favorites. The food is great and the colonial theme is really neat. The characters interacted great with the kids and again the food was excellent. We will miss the characters but will return for the food!

Pros: Everything!
Cons: None

This was our first meal in Disney on 12/13. We absolutely loved it! I am so glad that we were able to enjoy one of the last character dinners. I know that will be missed. The first was great. I haved already looked up the recipe for the strawberry vinagrette salad dressing. The apple cobbler was to die for! We left there full, happy, and excited to begin our Disney vacation!

Pros: atmosphere, quality of food, character dressed in colonial times
Cons: was there any?

We are one of the fortunate families that get to be the last dining at this restaurant while it is character dining, and even though this is changing soon (January 09) we will DEFINITELY be back again the next trip.

The atmosphere is really nice, and the food: I have never had such good food, it is better than my own cooking and I think I can cook very well...you surely get enough to eat as it is a buffet that is directly brought to you. It feels like you are home having a family dinner. Mashed potatoes are better that the best, the cherry glazed ham is so tasty, the beef was outstanding, and the garlic green beans were so yummy (these are the foods that stood out most to me though there are a few more they gave you, including a scrumptious salad). The dessert: apple cobbler with ice cream I still dream about!

THIS RESTAURANT HAS OUTDONE ITSELF and well worth the reservation to come here. We will definitely be back. Our waiter was very attentive and did a very well job. If I could rate this higher than a 10 I would, and did we tell you we were here on Christmas Day 08? Everything went smoothly despite the crowds...this meal was one of the best things about the day for us (as people were mean, rude and nasty everywhere about the park).

Pros: Enjoyed everything.
Cons: After January, no more characters.

Characters were very friendly. The service was excellent and the food was great.

Much better than Chef Mickey's at Contemporary.

Pros: great character interaction and food
Cons: none

We went on Thanksgiving evening, service was excellant, food abundant and very tasty. A night to remember.

Characters were lovely, funny and spent lots of time with us even though it was extremely busy.

It was worth the money with the characters but they would need to reduce the price if they wanted me to return when they take them away!

Disney please take notice of the reviews!!!

Pros: character interaction
Cons: some of the food iffy

I love the Liberty Tree Tavern and it's wonderful character dinner. So sad that the characters are leaving. We dined here before MVMCP on 12/4. We were seated soon after our ADR time. The kids had a ball with all the characters, this is a crowded busy dinner and all the characters were super interactive and spent lots of time with the girls. The food was ok, the stuffing was a little wet for my taste but everything else was great, and our waiter was wonderful.

Pros: hearty food after a long day
Cons: its Stouffers from a serving dish

The smoked pork chops, flank steak, and turkey are excellent. Its got that home cooking feel and taste. We're talking gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, buttered green beans and warm rolls with honey butter. If you are a health nut, you best skip this place becuase its how your mother or grandmother used to make dinner Wink

Characters are plenty and spend time at each table. However, they go away first week of January 2009 and BECAUSE OF THIS REASON ALONE, I can no longer recommend this place.

I just cannot see spending $30/person for what basically is a Stouffer's provided meal disguised in nice serving dishes. It's good food, but it isn't $30/person good when you don't have any characters to go with it.

After years of making this one of my "must do" for dinners, I will look elsewhere.
