Pros: characters, service, pre-park opening, food
Cons: long lines

The pre-park opening breakfast at Crystal Palace is quickly becoming a tradition for us. I just love being able to get in there early and get those shots in front of the castle before the park is filled with people. This time (8/14/11) we had an 8:25a and were allowed in around 7:55am. The restaurant was MUCH more crowded than our visit back in Decmeber- so the line to get in, the wait to get in, and the lines at the buffet were MUCH longer. At least it's worth the wait.

We had an AWESOME server...very attentive, made sure we didn't hit the buffet until the chef went over allergy issues, she got Piglet to our table just as we were leaving to make sure we met everyone, offered us double cupcakes at the end and got us bday cards. Our table was also covered in Mickey confetti.

The character interaction was top notch as always and the food was really good. We still managed to get out right around the time the park opened so we could head off to Adventureland with no wait times in anywhere! If only they'd bring back the breakfast lasagna Sad OH well, Pooh's French Toast is yum- and their corned beef hash is a nice change from the other hash options at the other breakfast buffets.

Hope to return in 2013 Smile Can't Wait!!!

Pros: Great food and good characters
Cons: Getting in

We had a 9:00 am reservation here on 9/4. Arrived at the MK around 8:40 am. They wouldn't let us until the park opens. We told them that you are supposed to be there 15 miniutes early but they guy still wouldn't listen. Finally, I supervisor let us in. I really wish Disney would be consistent with their policies. I totally understand that Disney is a large organization but it seems to be coming the norm that the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing. It is very frustraighting. Thanks for the vent...

Onto the breakfast...suprisingly there was hardly anyone there and any wait. Everyone was probably still trying to get in..ha. We were quickly seated. The server was good. He came over soon enough to explain things and get our drink order. Drinks always refilled.

The food was great and fresh. Pooh's french toast was as good as always. The buscuits and gravy were good too. There was plenty of other things from fresh fruit to ceral to more meats. Something for everyone.

The characters were good too. They were all pretty interactive. Nothing was rushed. The handlers were quick to make sure no one got skipped over.

Overall, it was a great meal. We definetly plan on goin back!

Pros:
Cons:

Oh my word this place is so wonderful! I was a little skpetical because my DD 3 isn't well versed with the Pooh and gang but she loved it. The rooms seem very open and airy due to the wonderful glass ceilings. The characters were great even came to our table more than once. Because it was my DD 3rd birthday we got a pic with all of their signatures. The food was wonderful too. We were very happy eating here and will be back!

Pros: great waitress! Pooh characters and wonderful food!
Cons: loud

One of the best breakfasts we've had on WDW property! It's been a few years since we ate here. And let me say the waitress you get really makes a difference! She was attentive and funny. The breakfast selection is wonderful! Lots of fresh fruit, a veg fritatta that was incredible! Potato casserole, bread pudding, waffles, omelet station, great orange juice that she kept refilling! Coffee can't forget that! The kid station had this incredible puffy french toast, yum! My 7 yr old loved the parade they do with the pooh characters!! All the characters were great with our family and Eeyore who is my fav posed for a pic w/ mom as well! Great pics and memories!

Pros: Excellent Food!
Cons: little character intereaction

We ate at Chef Mickey's on our last visit, and wanted to try something different. The food at this breakfast was FABULOUS - lots of different dishes - twice as many as CM's, and lots and lots of fresh fruits, berries, Mickey chocolate waffles, croisants, egg dishes, meats.... All very fresh on the buffet line. I think the crowd turnover is faster here, so the food never seems left out too long or overcooked.

The characters just stop by the table though - there is no pre-picture, or other interaction.

A memorable stop on our DDP. You can make reservations here before the park opens and get a great photo in front of the castle.

Pros: characters, mickey waffles
Cons: server was slow

All the standard breakfast foods. Chef will cook omelets to order also chocolate chip or blueberry pancakes. We had trouble getting drink refills. All the Pooh characters visited our table and took pictures. They were great! Try to get an early ressie before park opening, to get good pics with the castle and empty Main Street-incredible!

Pros: good food, excellent service, nice atmosphere
Cons: none

Had 8:10 breakfast reservations in June 2011. Absolutely wonderful character dining experience. The kids (ages 12, 5, and 10 months) loved it. Food was good, restaurant is nice. Will definitely go again!

Pros: food, characters, great waitstaff, excellent location
Cons: none

We went to WDW in July 2011. This was our second trip to the Crystal Palace breakfast, and it was very bit as enjoyable as the first. This time we made an early 8:15 reservation and were able to get into the park before it was open. We got great shots of the castle and main street with hardly anywhere around. We waited about 15 minutes for our table. Our waiter was excellent and very attentive. Of course, my kids loved the characters. The buffet was amazing as before- lots of choices and great food. The chef even came to our table to let me know which options on the buffet were vegetarian. Great place to have breakfast and start your magical day!

Pros: great location
Cons: poor food selections, rude staff

We had a 10:20 reservation for Crystal Palace this week. We should have known how awful it would be when we showed up to check in 10 minutes early and there was a crowd of more than 100 people on the porch waiting to get in.

We found the check-in window and said we were early. Sure, the CM said, here is your beeper and we will be with you shortly. 30 minutes later over 200 people had come and gone from the porch with us. Finally at 10:55am I went to the window and said, we are the only ones left on this porch, it is 100 degrees, please let us in for our breakfast. I was given the usual line, oh, we are working on your table, please wait a few more minutes. We almost waited in the sun for an hour.

By the time we got our table we were shocked. Almost the entire restaurant was empty!! One of the excuses I had been given was that there were no tables for 5 available. I saw at least 50 tables empty that could have held 5!

On to the food. Since they made us wait so long to enter, half of the buffet was completely shut down as they were preparing the lunch menu on that side. That meant that the breakfast side was
1. overcrowded with too many people
2. missing most of the food since they were not longer making breakfast.
3.a total mess from the 1000s of people who had gone through that morning.
When I told the manager how upset I was he was so nonchalant. I am sorry, the magic of Disney is gone for me. The manager at the end handed me 2 fastpasses and said, sorry for your trouble this morning. Seriously???

The food we did eat was very mediocre. I have an allergy and the chef made me the most unappetizing dish I have ever seen.

We will not be going back to Crystal Palace again and if you do go, don't say I did not warn you!!!

Pros: Variety of Food, dining in the Magic Kingdom
Cons: crowded buffet line, characters move around fast

We love Crystal Palace for breakfast! Our most recent visit was June 18, 2011. We dined as a party of 10 (6 adults 4 kids). Our party was split into two tables but we were right beside each other so no big deal.

Crowds - When we arrived (8:20 for 8:30 ADR) the place was pretty hectic. Things calmed down through the meal. The buffet line was really busy. You had to wait and walk by the fruits, yogurts and bagels to get to the hot items which was frustrating if that was all you wanted. Also kids buffet items were first in the line but with only two items, Pooh's french toast and a breakfast pizza. You then had to wait, as I said, to get other hot items. Food was getting cold by the time we sat down. DH had one of the build-your-own omelets made by the chefs. He was gone nearly 20 minutes! Way too long to be in line. After my first trip through the line the crowd seemed to thin. I think perhaps some of the early ADR's were late or the restaurant was overbooked for 8:30 reservations. I have never seen it so crowded at any of my other visits.

Characters - As soon as we arrived at out table, Pooh's handler came over to me to say that Pooh was coming to our table next so we barely had time to get settled. I would have liked a little more time but we never saw Pooh in our section again so I'm glad we got him when we did. Eyeore, Piglet and Tigger followed later and there was adequate space between them so we could visit the line and eat without things getting cold. All characters were very patient and very good with each of the the kids ages 4, 2, 1, 8 mo.

Food- Pooh's french toast, grits, eggs, Mickey waffles, bacon, sausage, all delicious. Love the hashbrown potato casserole. Also the peach bread pudding was a yummy breakfast dessert. Smoked salmon is also on the buffet which is gourmet treat! If you can handle the early morning crowd, this is a great place to get breakfast and then hit the rides. If your res. is after the park opens, you might avoid some of the crowds and you can definitely skip lunch later!

Pros: food was wonderful; saw all characters;
Cons: none

I was at Disney for the PTA convention on June 9,2011 a friend and I had ADR for 8:15am. We arrived exactly on time and waited only a few minutes. What I like the most about character dining is whether you have children or not, the characters stop at your table. Our waitress was very efficient and the food was wonderful as always. I would definitely eat here again and recommend it to anyone.

Pros: Characters, food quality, wait time
Cons: small mix up with keys

We had an 8:20am ADR. We were seated at 8:15am. Our table was right next to the windows so we had a decent view. Service was extremely quick. We had Pooh and Eeyore at our table before we had a chance to get up and get our food. (Our server said that it would be another 45 minutes before they came around again if we missed them, so we hung out).

Didn't expect smoked salmon for breakfast, but surprise!

The kids loved the Mickey waffles and the HUGE strawberries. Everything that we ate was great. No complaints there.

The only negative was that our server mixed up our Key to the World with the table next to us on returning our check. About an hour later, I received a call from the Crystal Palace making me aware of this, but my phone was off....they left a voicemail. I had already noticed the mix up and had visited the front desk at the Animal Kingdom Lodge where the issue was resolved in about 5 minutes.

Will definitely be doing this one again!

Pros: Great character interaction and food
Cons: Non

Had an early reservation, before the park opened, and truly magical to have the park to "ourselves." Food was tasty and plentiful, characters came to our table twice and gave big hugs, and our 6 year old son loved being in the Pooh Parade! We also received a decorated cupcake for our anniversary and some pixie dust on the table. Can't say enough good things about this one - a must do!
