Pros:
Cons:

One of my favorite value resorts. It has very cute themes, and is affordable. The pool seemed to be a bit crowded during the days, but closer to night times it was less crowded. Buses we're the only bad part. It shares buses with another resort, which made the wait long. Other than that, not a thing to complain about ! Great value resort!

Pros: Theming, Service, Magic Express to-and-from, Luggage transfer to airport, Fun, Atmosphere, Bus Transportation
Cons: Busy food court at certain times of days, can be busy with sports teams

Perhaps it is because we were here during a less busy time of year (October), but we had no complaints at all. We loved it here - in fact, we enjoyed our time here more than our last stay at a moderate (Port Orleans Riverside) resort. We had 2 families with 4 children (aged 10 & 13) between us and we really enjoyed it...starting with the smooth-as-silk Magic Express from the airport and ending with the impressive (and oh-so-helpful) check-out/luggage service/Magic Express at the end. Even with an early (5:30 am!) departure, our boarding passes and luggage tags were waiting on our door, we easily checked our bags right at the hotel, and did not have to lug them or check them at the airport. We didn't see them until they arrived - safe and sound - at our end destination. While we were not in the hotel for long each day (maybe 10 hours total, basically just to have a swim, shower, sleep) ... it was quite enjoyable. Clean, the rooms were large enough (we weren't expecting much to begin with, so no disappointment), service was good. Food courts were a little boring during peak "teenage" hours (there were groups of sports teams there, but all well behaved) ie: late morning and late night, but it was quiet and relaxing during non-peak times. The food was boring but we basically ate in the parks every day anyways. Refillable mugs are a wonderful idea. Pools were sporadically busy with the teenage/sports teams but they were having fun and it didn't bug us; other times the pools were quieter. All in all, comfortable rooms, very fun theming, good service and a great stay. If this is an indication of the "Value" resorts, I don't see why anyone would spend the extra $$ to stay at a moderate or more. This hotel gives you all you could need - especially for families that are going to be spending the majority of their time park hopping anyways. We never waited long for a shuttle bus either going to the parks or coming home.

Pros: Great theme, clean room, nice pools
Cons: Transportation, Mousekeeping can be spotty, Toilets

Just returned from a 10-day visit to WDW and stayed at the Sports for the first time. I liked it. I thought the themeing was fun, the room was basic, but clean, and the pools were nice.

The only negatives would be that mousekeeping can be spotty and you do hear toilets flush from other rooms.

Mousekeeping was good for most of the stay, but not the entire stay. Came back one day and the bed was made, but no soap or shampoo or towels left. Another day I came back and found no soap or shampoo, no clean towels and no bath mat.

The biggest negative is transportation, especially from the parks back to the resort. It was not unusual for it to take 1-2 hours at park closing to get back to the room. Long lines and not enough buses to accommodate 3 resorts at one bus stop. Although the Magic Kingdom has 3 separate bus stops for Music, Movies and Sports, the lines were still way too long and buses way too slow. If I were to stay at a value again, I would rent a car, so as to not have to wait on buses.

Pros: price, location
Cons: magic express check out-luggage

This was our 9th time at Disney since 2009. When we requested a room close to transportation we were extremely pleased to have gotten a room in building 6. The room was clean and we arrived and had towel animals each day. This was our 2nd stay at Sports and will definitely stay again. Lugguage checkin was the only part that did not go well at Disney.

Pros: sports decorations
Cons: busses, limited food selection, room dusty

This was our 1st time staying at All Star Sports. We have stayed at Pop 2x(love Pop) and thought we try something different since our son loves sports. The theming is great, room size was fine. Some of the negatives were the room wasn't as clean as it should've been, top of the entertainment stand was VERY dusty, and I found a used q-tip inside the ice bucket...disgusting. The bus system didn't seem as fast as what it was at Pop, and also we had to share buses with the other all stars, we knew that going into it, but it still was a negative. And last the food court selection isn't that great, and during the busy morning hours, we didn't see alot of workers wiping down tables. Overall it's an ok resort, but we probably will not stay here again.

Pros:
Cons:

We stayed here from 09/12/09-09/19/09 in the Touchdown Building #10. This was very close to the pool and the main building where the Front Desk, End Zone, etc. are located.

The rooms were great! Some of our towels though looked a little questionable with some stains on them - other than that, everything was perfect. Our housekeeper was fabulous and friendly and always left us a surprise each day with our towels. It made it fun to see what was next.

The End Zone food is great. I have read where a lot of people do not care for it too much, but we went ga ga over the pizza and the burgers. The portions are filling - especially with the dining plan once you add dessert! We had breakfast and dinner there. The only complaint is that really only once was the cashier friendly and courteous. For the most part, the cashiers are not very customer friendly. That was based on last year and this year's stay.

Overall, I think it's an awesome place to stay! We'll do it again, I am sure!

Pros: Price, Closest of All-Stars
Cons: Bathroom size

This was a great deal, being the cheapest of all of the on-site hotels. Though far from the parks, it's the closest of the 3 All-Star resorts, so the first pick-up location & drop-off for the buses. The bathroom is tiny (can't even close the door), but the room is ok. If you're just going to use the room to sleep, it's ok. Transportation to parks wasn't an issue. Didn't have to wait more than 10 min. for any bus, perhaps because it was off-season.

Pros: easy to get to
Cons: none

We have always stayed at deluxe or moderate hotels in our 13 times to Disney. We thought we would try something different and cheaper because of the economy. We knew going in that the rooms would be smaller, but they are not bad at all. We drove from Texas, so we had our own car. We also had the free dining plan that I don't see how we can go back without. Our meals at the parks, especially Epcot, were much better than at the deluxe hotels. Go figure. Teppan Edo in Japan is great. We were at the All Star Sports for 7 days and had a blast. The only thing i could possibly see wrong with this hotel is if you were stuck there and had to eat at their food court. The rooms were clean and the people friendly. We stayed at the Home Run building which is far away from the lobby, but very close to where our vehicle was parked. For the price and the free dining plan, this can not be beat.

Pros: ambience, food court, buses
Cons: large resort, spread out

Hey fellow travelers! I have stayed at All-Star Sports 3 times now and it's my favorite value resort. Wonderful time! The Disney feel and ambience for such a low $$$ is amazing. There are 2 awesome pools, one with a surfboard theme and one baseball-themed pool. I payed low $$ for a courtyard-facing room (here's a tip: always request a ctyd room- they are not too loud and the scenery is fun at night, to watch the people walk by and play). I was in the Touchdown section and could see the Homerun pool. Try the 2nd floor -it is so close to the action.

The pizza and food is really good! Disney pizza is my fave in the whole world actually. I adore it, and the food court is adorable and you can also sit outside under the umbrellas or by the pool.

A tip: try to avoid the morning (9ish/10) Magical Express service as it is soo crowded. Getting to All-Star resorts took at least 1.5 hrs AFTER I landed. By that point, I was so tired and hungry.

Anyway, don't hesitate to stay here. I prefer it to Movies, which is adorable too. Pop is fun, but Sports has that Disney feel to it bigtime.

Happy travels!
Cassy from ATL

Pros: Value, pool, food court, design!
Cons: the buses were kind of slow, housekeeping could be better.

My boyfriend and I stayed at All Star Sports from August 18 - 23. We were in room 7229 in the Touchdown building. We we close to the parking lot which was good because we decided to drive to the parks a lot rather than wait for the buses. We had a nice view of the grounds. We were pretty close to the pool and main building, but the layout of the hotel seems to be that every room will still be pretty close to the pool(s) and main building. The arcade was small but pretty fun. The pool seemed to be always busy, but it was so big that it was still enjoyable. The food court was great with a lot of options. The gift shop had a great selection. Overall we had a great time, and I would recommend this hotel, and will probably stay there again. The only flaws were that the buses, although convenient, sometimes takes forever to come and go, especially in the middle of the day. After the 3rd day, we just decided to drive ourselves, so that we could come and go as we pleased, and that worked out better for us. However if we had kids or a larger party, the buses would have been just as good. I also had an incident with housekeeping, but it was resolved. The last day of our stay, we came back from the parks and I went to take my contacts out, only to find that housekeeping had thrown away my contact lens case. I called the front desk and I was told housekeeping would call me right back. I waited an hour and didn't hear from them, so I called the front desk again, and they told me that I could go to the gift shop and purchase a new contact kit and then take the receipt to the front desk, where I would be reimbursed. This worked out fine, although it was pretty inconvenient. Also, we noticed that the trash was not always emptied when housekeeping came. Overall, however, we really liked this hotel, and I will probably return.

Pros: value for the $$
Cons: inconsistant

We stayed here for our second time in August. We were pleased to be upgraded to a closer building, however we were given a king bed and have a toddler. So with a quick phone call they provided us a rollaway twin. A little adjustments of furniture we were able to make the room comfortable and a nice sleeping area for our son. Last time we came, everything was at capacity and we did not see the special touches like the towel animals and staging in the windows but once in awhile they did do something fun, and I figured this trip would be a little different. However they only staged the room once for our son and that was sort of disappointing, especially when you could see other rooms had been staged nicely.

On our last trip, we really had no bus issues. They were crowded but there is something about a huge group of teenagers seeing you try to balance a sleeping toddler on a bus, they seem to understand that they should let you sit. This time, we were not so fortunate. The amount of rude people was disturbing. I had one man drag his stroller across me leaving bruises down my legs, I had to sit on the floor because I could not hold my sleeping son and stand and hold on to the bar on the bus. Parents just watched. We got to the point of waiting for the next bus to avoid these issues. We also made an effort to make sure people were not standing and holding toddlers. I only wish people realized how awful it is. So we decided that next time we visit, we will stay somewhere that has more buses or other forms of transportation. We really never want to go through these bus issues again. It is a shame because we really liked this hotel.

Pros: colorful, cute, and clean
Cons: a little loud - where were the parents?

We (me, my mother-in-law, and my 20 month old twins) stayed here at the beginning of the month when we took a trip to look at real estate in the area. Even though we weren't going to "do" the parks on this trip, I decided we couldn't beat the quality - or safety - of staying on Disney property. I used the online check-in for the first time - what a great idea! As expected, we got everything we expected from the hotel staff (thanks to the front desk for sending up a refrigerator, free of charge, for the twins' food!) and property, and we will continue to recommend Sports to family and friends who want to take an extremely affordable getaway. Sure, it can get loud, but with my own noisemakers, noise really doesn't bother me - it's expected!

Pros: price
Cons: transportation from the parks

This was our second visit to this resort. Overall for the price we paid, I couldn't ask for anything better. We are visitors to Disney twice a year. We've stayed at every resort at least once. We choose the All Stars for this last trip because there were 8 of us, my mom, myself, my children and my nieces and nephew. We had 2 connecting rooms in a preferred building. It was AWESOME!! We spend the whole day in the parks and really only need a nice comfortable room to sleep in and get ready in the morning. There was more than enough space for everyone at half the cost of a villa. I highly recommend paying the little bit extra to be close to the main building if for nothing other than getting coffee in the morning without having to walk very far.

Everything there was clean, well kept, and fun.

The only drawback to this resort is the fact that it is busier than others so bus transportation is a little inconvenient. The sports is the first stop of the 3 so getting to the park is pretty easy and hassle free. Getting back to the room is another story. After our first night leaving at park closing with 6 tired children, we realized that taking one of the taxis right out front of every park is the way to go. No lines. The cost was minimal and we were home every night within 15 minutes with no waiting, standing, or crowding.

I would tell anyone considering this resort to give it a try with the understanding that it is what it is, a value resort. (this is coming from someone who has stayed at the Grand Floridian the 3 previous trips and swore I would never stay anywhere else)

Pros: affordable, clean, staff, transportation to parks
Cons: none

Just got back from my stay at this resort and was very pleased. We had arrived at 9:00 am not expecting to get into our room, was planning on heading straight to the parks. However, the receptionist said she had a room that was available and let us check in.

When we entered the room they had towels on the bed in the form of Mickey. The room was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. Maid Service came before noon each day to lightly clean the room and replenish towels.

Did not have to wait long at all for the shuttle to the parks (10 minutes max). Would stay here again.
