Very slightly slow service

Ate here on 2 November 2011, after my daughter aged 13 saw it and remembered how good it had been several years ago. Managed to get an online reservation in the morning, which I thought was very lucky.
The food was as good, if not better that we remembered it. My other daughter aged 8 who is a fussy eater, thought it was superb, and loved the turkey and the mashed potatoes.
We had to ask another server for additional food, as our waiter had disappeared for quite a while, but he quickly resumed service and was more attentive towards the end.
Would recommend this place for the wonderful food - it was actually better without the characters, which can sometimes put the kids off their food - so without any distraction they ate and ate!!

Our family of 7 ate here on 10/16/11 for dinner. We were quite early but were seated right away. Waiter was attentive initially but service lagged after that. The food that was brought out family style was much too small for a party of our size and we needed refills immediately. The waiter had too many tables and was slow and forgot multiple items. Too little food and subpar service were the theme of our dining experiences this trip. Maybe the built in tip takes away any incentive for excellent service. The food was good once we actually got it. Still a good spot to eat but there did not seem to be enough staff working the tables. We will still return for another try next trip.

We booked into this restaurant just to try it out on a quiet day via reservation but ended up visiting twice. Each time (even when we did not have a reservation) we were seated quickly and given what could be described as a GREAT menu of choice. What was even better was no matter what we ordered starters, mains, desserts...either time we went it was BEAUTIFUL. I couldn't rate this place any more highly! Its a must do next time we go again. Eating here bets Toni's for me!! LOVELY. GREAT FOOD & SERVICE!!

This was the place my mom and aunt always took us when we were kids, so it's hard to go to the MK without eating dinner here even as a grown man. We just ate here in September for dinner as a party of seven on a very hot day. We arrived right on time and were seated with no problems. One thing not so "magical" was the crowd waiting to be seated. This place is always extremely crowded, and it never fails that someone feels they invented reservations and no one else has them. I really cannot stand people that don't understand that WDW is a busy place... all the time.
Anyway, our meal was great as always. Every time I make a reservation here I think: "will I really want this after a hot day of walking?" Yes. This food is American comfort food at its best. Just be prepared to eat with kids, because everyone comes here. My wife had the pleasure of sitting next to a young Anakin Skywalker, complete with light saber in her back. Not really Disney's fault, and why come to WDW if you want to stay away from kids? Just know they will be here, and they ended the characters we loved to eat with. This is a must-do.

Food was excellent, service was just as good if not better!! Best meal in Disney for 1 table service credit!! The family style of beef, turkey, pork was delicious!! As were the mashed potatos, mac n cheese, veggies salad and stuffing. The gravy and rolls with honey butter were awesome!! The cobbler with ice cream was unbelievable! service was prompt, friendly and personable- great experience and wonderful atmosphere

Seated in a corner/Not an Ideal Table
|
|
Seated within 10 minutes of checking in early, even though they had a full lobby area. Excellent vegetables and meat...excellent start to the Halloween Party (we ate here on September 16th). Our server was attentive but not intrusive. We were seated in a corner, not an ideal spot. However, we had a tired child..so after dinner he put his head on my lap, maybe it was good to be away from the main dining area. We'd eat here again!

We hadn't been to Liberty Tree Tavern since it was a character meal, but had enjoyed the food there before, so wanted to try it again. What ruined it for us this time was our server. We waited 20 minutes past our ADR of 5:30 and then our server was not attentive. It took a long time for us to get served. He plopped plates down on our table without passing them out. Never checked if we needed more. He left glasses empty. Then we waited for 15 minutes between finishing our meal and waiting for dessert. Our kids were getting impatient and we wanted to do some more touring before the parade. It wasn't until after we requested the bill that he brought us our dessert which was not enough for our party of 7. I noticed in this time he waited on a family of 4 and a party of 1. I have to wonder if he didn't bother waiting on us, since we were required to tip 18% (since we were a party of 6 or more.) I won't be having a table service meal for dinner in the park next time. I'll stick with breakfast or lunch.

I wanted to share my disappointment in one of our favorite restaurants. We ate at Liberty Tree Tavern on Mon Aug 15th, Liberty Tree has been a trip favorite and must do every trip since the 1st time we ate there in 05. I was extremely dispointed this time and will not return. They changed their menu since I was there in Feb. They removed the ham (which of course was my favorite) and added some pork, they also changed their dessert....but that part is still amazing. The salad arrived and I thought it was aweful, the dressing was blah and had no taste, then they brought out the meat/stuffing plate...well the beef part of our meat was so rare that there were pools of blood all over the meats, plates and stuffing. Now I know some people like it that way, but the site of bloody food disgusts me, especially when it's all over a side dish. So I asked our waitress for just a plate of turkey and stuffing which she brought over to me as quickly as she could. But at that point my stomach was upset and I had no intested in eatting any of it. So the point to my complaint is that if you're like me and don't like the site of blood all over your food make sure you speak up before you get your meat. For me it has now ruined my like for that restaurant.

Very crowded, servers overwhelmed

Ate here on Aug 7th. This is one of the places you can really see how the Disney Dining Plan has affected sit down options. The other is Chef Mickey's. Anyway the place was packed. The waiting area was so crowded that they were only allowing 1 member of your party inside to check in. We waited about a half hour past our ADR to be seated. Our server, really all the servers were literally running around the restaurant to keep up with the demand of the diners. Of course, that just compounds the waiting time for things, as you wait longer for your courses, it snowballs into a longer meal for you and then a longer wait time for those still waiting to be seated. The MK needs more sit down options. Anyway, we have always loved the LTT but haven't eaten here in a couple years. The salad barely had any dressing on it that we could detect. The dinner rolls were very good. We all thought the turkey was moist and flavorful. The beef was medium rare, perfect and the pork was quite tasty. The kids liked the mac & cheese but we all agreed the mash was bland. The stuffing was good, a bit garlicky as were the green beans. The meat platter also came with a compote hidden beneath the meat. Since the LTT is now sponsered by Ocean Spray, I assume it was craisin since it wasn't just cranberry. either way, none of us liked it. I was disappointed when I read the menu and noticed my favorite Cobblers were replaced with Craisin cake with ice cream, but surprisingly, it was delicious. Both hubby and i loved it -the kids didn't want any.
The main issue we encountered was with the service. Empty glasses remained on the table even after refills arrived. The thing that irked the most was that the half full gravy boat stayed on the table through dessert. It was there even as we paid the bill. The server was very nice but just totaaly overwhelmed.
Overall, we like the LTT alot, it's not fancy food, just comfort food, but until the Beast's Castle opens up, hopefully relieving the overcrowding, we won't be back. This is a nice restaurant to enjoy at quieter times of the year.

Our dinner was almost like Thanksgiving dinner! Excellently cooked meat, stuffing and vegetables. The dessert (apple cake/cobbler with vanilla ice cream) was fantastic!! The best dessert we had! We went here on our last day because we had 1 table service meal left on our Disney Dining Plan. We happened to be at the Hall Of Presidents then decided to eat an early dinner. I dont' know if I would have necessarily sought this restaurant out but it was a great meal.

Ate here for lunch 6/11. The whole family loved their meals. We did have to wait 25 minutes to be seated even though we had reservations, but the kids were given coloring sheets and we welcomed some time off our feet away from the 90 degree heat. Highly recommend trying this restaurant.

Wife and I dined here on 17 June for dinner. Had reservations and the DDP.
We were seated on time, and our server explained the process of serving (family style) and the menu for that day.
Salad is served first with hot rolls and honey-butter. Food is served family style, meaning all meats (pork loin, roast beef, turkey breast, along with stuffing) were served on one platter, along with bowls of mashed potatoes, mac n cheese, green beans, and a gravy boat of turkey gravy. Everything was delicious and plentiful! There was so much food we had no need to ask for any food "refills". Drinks were kept full, never had to ask for any refills there either.
I would most definitely return to dine here again!

This was one of the last places we ate during our stay at WDW. We were getting bored with the food offered at the other eating establishments. It was a delight to have some good old home made food for once. Everything was great. The food was hot and plenty of it. The service was very good and when it came time for desert we were reluctant until they brought out this apple and ice cream dish that blew us away. This will be on the list for our next trip.

I'm lowering my rating because of how long we had to wait for our reservation (about 45 minutes).
The food however is excellent. The only thing I would recommend is that they bring back the characters. That was one of the best experiences we have had at Disney.

This was awesome food. Everything was great. The service was good and it was one of the few places I didn't mind paying the 18% tip.
