We(party of 9) ate here on Tuesday, November 10th. Had to wait only a few minutes for a table (we had call-ahead seating). The adults had lasagna, mushroom ravioli, cheeseburger and chicken salad croissant sandwich. Kids had pizza and mac and cheese. The food definitely surpassed our expectations. Everyone enjoyed their meals. There was a long wait for the meals after ordering but that was o.k. The kids were entertained with the coloring pages, dinasaurs and, meteor showers. This is a very loud restaurant but what do you expect? It's a theme restaurant. We had a very competent server and thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Maybe it was the high expectations for our September 09 visit to a new dining location in the Downtown area... but the T-Rex fell short of the hype. As advertised, the visual experience was fantastic. That and the portion sizes were about the only positives of the meal.
In fairness to the T_Rex. We knew it would be loud. We did not anticipate having to (literally) shout our orders to the waitress and not hearing a single word back from her. Nor did we anticipate sitting in virtual silence, because we could not hear any conversation at our table. There were only four of us, so that is saying something. It could have been the location right next to one of the animatronics. Nevertheless, it made for a poor dining experience.
I had an Omnivore Salad, others had burgers or pasta. The food was "OK". Very much in line with the Rainforest Cafe fair. Huge portions, I would never say too large, but everyone at the table had food left on our plate at the end of the meal.
For what it is worth, we don't have kids and had been traveling with our parents (in their young 60's) and the T-Rex may have just been too stimulating for us. We saw many families with children, of all ages, that truly seemed to enjoy the constant noise, movement and overall activity. And, seemingly little care of the quality or quantity of food.
Looking back, this would have been a great place to duck into, enjoy a drink or two at the bar. Take in the experience and have a quiet meal elsewhere in Downtown Disney.

We ate hear on a Thursday evening. We had a 15 minute wait and got seated at 6.30pm. It was our first visit here and the decor is outstanding. It makes the Rainforest Cafes look subdued in comparison. We skipped starters and ordered mains. Around 50 minutes later - and I am quite sure on time because we saw three meteor showers- they arrived. Our waitress seemed rushed with too many tables to cope with. Food seemed to come out randomly. People seated before us were still waiting, people who came in after us got their food.I got to thinking that perhaps the dinosaurs died out because of starvation! The food was good to ok when it did turn up. My daughter had the Meteor bites desert - beware it is a huge portion and would have served all four of us. Overall a great location and decor - just let down by the service.

We ate here for the first time on Sept 10th 09. When we booked our ADR for T-rex, the staff told us this would be noisy.
We where seated outside of the ice room next to a large fish tank which was great, after we had ordered we were able to look around the rest of the restaurant and take pictures.
My boyfriend & I really enjoyed our meal at T-Rex.
We shared the Brachiosaurus Bruschetta which was very tasty. we had a main course each and shared the Meteor Bites for pudding and took the ones we couldn't eat back to our resort.
We are planning to eat here again next Sept. on our next Disneyworld holiday.

Oct. 11--grandkids absolutely loved the atmosphere of the place, especially the meteor showers. The food was just okay. Grandson ordered the half rack of ribs---but there wasn't much on the plate and we ended up having to get him an extra hamburger from Mickey D's when we left. Girls loved the build-a-dino attached. Glad we went once, don't need to go again.

We had lunch here Oct.1st. Had a fantastic waitress. The food was good but prices are high. I know you're in Disney but come on, $15.99 for a burger and it doesn't even come with fries (2 dollars more). My husband and I split a burger and bruchetta, my 2 boys each had a kids meal. Bill came to close to 60 dollars with our sodas included in that. It was the only meal we paid out of pocket as we were on dining plan but this place doesn't participate with the dining plan. The restaurant is cool. I have two boys 4 & 8 years old so this was a must for us. Again food was good, not by any means the best meal we had all week but good and if you have little DINO lovers you should check it out. Can get loud but did not bother my kids AT ALL but if your little one gets scared by loud noises you should think about it. If my kids wanted to go back we would, hopefully they'll start participating in the dining plan.

We ate here on 9/23/09. This was the BEST restaurant we ate at all week. The food was awesome. We had ADR for 6 PM. We got there at 6 on the dot and were seated within 5 minutes. The restaurant was a big hit with the kids DD age 2 and DS age 4. They were not scared at all, until we left and took pics in front of the TREX and he started to move, DD freaked out. We sat in the under water room outside of the ice age room. We had the double dips of the cheese con queso and shrimp and artichokes. It was tasty. For dinner my mom had the shrimp skewers, my dad had the pork shank, I had the rotiserie chicken with veggies and rice and DH had the other chicken with the zuccini and mushrooms. DS had the mac and cheese. DD was sleeping but when she woke up ate alittle of everyone's. The portions were huge. The food was so tasty. We celebrated our kids bdays and had the choclate extinction to share. Everyone liked it. Even the coffee was good. The waitress was attentive. My mom ordered a bloody mary with no spice. It was too spicey for her so the waitress got a new one right away for her with no spice. If you know your kids wont be scared I would highly reccommend T REX. Like I said it was the best meal I had all week!

Ate here for dinner on the 16th.Great atmosphere and decor. Loved all the rooms. Little loud inside but the kids loved it. Server seemed not that interested in serving us and seemed to "disappear" for long periods of time. Though it seemed like he was waiting on 6 tables around us. When we asked for an extra plate, the Catchup bottle was bigger then it! When the server finally did re-appear, he asked how everything was even before we had even taken a single bite of food. Food was lacking flavor and was rather small and over priced. Would recommend to parents of dino lovers, but other then then that, we won't be coming back here for quite a while.

We ate at T-Rex for the first time June 2009. I booked this because my 2 year old LOVES dinosaurs. We arrived early, about 30 minutes prior to our reservation and I was told I could not check in until 15 minutes before our time. They would not take my name, give a pager NOTHING. So we stood in the extreme heat for 15 minutes and then I checked our party of 9 in at the podium. After a quick wait we were seated in the ice room. Not a good idea for anyone prone to head aches! The effects are cool but the colors changes and flashing lights can give anyone a head ache. Our server was HORRIBLE! It is so loud you can't hear and she would not walk down to the opposite end of the table to take our orders we had to yell it at her. She did a poor job of keeping glasses filled and we had to ask for everything twice. Once we finaly got our food (waited like 40 minutes on the food) it was suprisingly good. We all enjoyed the meal and may go back but I would request to NOT be sat in the ice room. I prefer Rain Forest!

This is basically Rainforest Cafe with dinosaurs (same ownership!) . Instead of a thunderstorm, they have a meteor shower. Food was similar style/quality/price to Rainforest.
My 2y/o loved it and wasn't the least bit scared by the noise but I did see some little ones freaking out a bit. Food was good but I always roll my eyes when I see it's extra charge ($2 here)to substitute fries for chips with my $13 sandwich or burger.
Bottom line - A fun place for kids and you won't leave hungry

We ate here on August 17th. My 3 year old loves dinosaurs so we decided to make reservations for here for him. Our reservations we for 4:30 but we decided to check in around 4:00 just so we were ahead of the game. We walked in and they sat us right away. We sat in the room with the octopus and my kids loved it. We took a tour around the restaurant and saw all the other cool rooms. My children loved it. The meteor shower was very cool. The food was so yummy. We stared out with Nachos and they were so good. We spent $105 which included, the nachos, 5 meals and drinks and the tip. In my opinion that's not bad at all and we really thought it was worth it and I would highly recommend it. Afterwards we went in the store and stuff new dino friends.

we wanted to try T-REX so on 8/6 we did for lunch, The interior is very impressive and the atmosphere is wonderful. The food and service were average. Picture this as a Rain Forest cafe with Dinosaurs. I wanted to use my room charge as they accept it there. The server tried to persuade me to use another form of payment because of the hassles for them to process this. I kind of felt that this was not my problem besides I didn't have enough cash on me. (I did make sure that they took room charge prior to arrival so I knew I was covered,)
