Pros: Food - Decor
Cons: None

Four of us had an early evening meal here and I could not fault it. 5 minute wait for a table. Our waiter could not have been more attentive. Food here is of a consistently good quality and whilst not cheap, I think it continues as one of the best value eating places for choice and quality throughout the parks. I did notice that they no longer had the sparklers alight on the Volcano desert. Health and safety strikes again?

Pros: fun atmosphere
Cons: inattentive staff

We had breakfast there, just the two of us, sitting at the bar. First time here, we enjoyed it. The wait-staff was distracted and somewhat inattentive because they were still in the "getting things set up for the day" mode, which I think should be done when the doors are still closed to guests, but all in all enjoyed our food.

Pros: Atmosphere, great server , family friendly
Cons: A bit pricey for the kind of food it is

Had a good time here. My 2 y/o loved the decor with the animals, fish and thunderstorms. Food was good but pricey for the type of food served. I suppose you are paying for the atmosphere as well. Animal Kingdom is a perfect location for Rainforest Cafe.

Pros: nice atmosphere
Cons: little pricey

We were seating right away with reservations which I found great. We shared cheese sticks which were really good. I got ribs, steak and shrimp trio and all were very good. My son got the bruger and fries and it was the best he had on the trip. It was a pricey meal, but not the most expensive of the trip. And of course we're at WDW so it is expected.

Pros: atmosphere, service
Cons: price

We had dinner at Rainforest Cafe on 8/20. We did not have to wait and were seating right away.

Our server was excellent, refills were always given to us before the glass was even empty.

The food was fair. It was comparable to any chain rest., however the price was much higher. I believe you are paying more for the atmosphere of Rainforest than the quality of food.

Rainforest is always a "loud" rest, but I think you should expect that if you know anything about it. There are always lots of children, and the thunderstorms, etc. are not quiet. The only issue I had is that we sat next to a fountain....parents were letting their kids play in the water and it seemed like we were constantly being splashed by them. However, that is not the rest.'s fault, but the fault of the parents.

Pros: rain forest theme was incredible so life like
Cons: food and service was horrible and over priced

I visited Rain Forest Cafe on June 20, 2009. I had reservations for noon and arrived at 1130, did not get seated until 1220pm after having to go back up to check in to ask why walk-ins were being seated ahead of my party. I was told my reservation had been over looked, but the host walked over my family and I several times to call walk-ins outside of restaurant instead of us. Ordered appetizers, and my children ate off of kids menu. My husband and I ordered burgers and our bill was over $90.

Pros: Atmosphere
Cons: Food

Overpriced, crowded, and boring food. Stop by to look at it in the gift shop and maybe get a drink at the bar, but nothing more.

Pros:
Cons:

My family of 8 had lunch here on July 9th and loved it. It wasn't our first time to Rainforest, but the first time to the one at Animal Kingdom. We felt like that one was a little less crowded and the gift shop was bigger than the one at Downtown Disney. The menu has changed since I was there last year and was not pleased with some of the changes. But overall it was still great.

Pros: Service
Cons: Got tired of noisy animals and repeating music pretty quick; stale bun

Our family of six ate dinner here on 6/16/09. Even though we arrived 25 min. early for ADR, we were seated within 10 min. Brenda was our server and was one of the best on our trip. She was very attentive asking about how our dinner was tasting, brought refills on drinks, and helped DD with a special request on her pasta dinner.

We had the turkey wrap, islander chicken, Tuscan chicken, planet Earth pasta, and kids' cheeseburger and python pasta. Everything was very good except one of the mini cheeseburger buns was stale. DS didn't say anything about it until we had finished the dinner.

It is fun to see the aquariums and animals but we got tired of the thunderstorms, noise, and repeating music after a half hour.

Pros: Fast seating, with good air conditioning!
Cons: None

While at AK on an almost 100 degree day, we opted to go to Rainforest Cafe over any of the quick meal spots in the park. For a group of 8 of us - we were seated without an ADR within about 5 minutes. The AC was working great (which is was not in some of the spots in Animal Kingdom). The kids were of course entertained with all of the noraml Rainforest environment things & the food was fairly good for a themed type restaurant. We would stop here again for lunch/dinner on another visit to WDW.

Pros: Themed restaurant
Cons: Very noisy

We decided to try Rainforest Cafe since we were sick of counter service meals. We had to wait about 45 minutes to get in for lunch which I guess isn't too bad considering the crowds, however, once we were seated, there was a very large area in the back that had numerous tables available (probably about 20 tables) - only a few people were seated in that section. Possibly they didn't have enough waiters to open up that section totally but you would think in a resort area they would want to seat as many people as possible to accommodate the crowds. Maybe they need to hire more staff. The food was good (nice change from counter service), although the prices were a bit steep - $14.00 for a salad is a bit much (it was pretty good, however,). The waiter service was great. Our waiter was very attentive. Once we were seated, we were in and out within an hour and we felt like we had a relaxing lunch. The noise level is very high so if you are looking for a quiet lunch, this would not be the place to go.

Pros: great theming. Good drinks. Variety of children's menu
Cons: food sub par. Waitress was poor. Expensive

We have always loved rainforest cafe and ate here on 5/13 at the request of our children. The love the atmosphere. We had nice drinks to start but the food just wasnt very good this trip and our waitress was not at all friendly! The food quality just does not seem in line with the crazy prices. Next time we will eat elsewhere.

On a positive note, the enviroment is very cool and the kids enjoyed that. And after limitd kids menus at many disney restaurants there was great variety on this one.

Pros: beautiful setting, nice way to start off day at AK
Cons:

For a family of 5, we all ate for about $65, not bad for Disney/Themed place. Beautiful setting, loved the jungle sounds, my 6 year old enjoyed hearing the monkeys and birds. It was relaxing and enjoyable--a great way to start out your AK day. Good fast service, too. Gift shop has a good array and not too expensive.

Pros: Wait staff, food
Cons: Noise!

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU HAVE A CHILD IN YOUR PARTY WHO IS EASILY FRIGHTENED BY LOUD ANIMAL NOISES. I cannot stress that enough. Enjoyed the food, and service was attentive at our breakfast meal, but having to get up every 10 minutes when there was a "storm" - not a fun experience. We won't be back unless its just the grownups!
