My famiy of 5 (three sons; age 16, 13, and 8) enjoyed our dinner at Goofy's Kitchen. The food was very good. The characters that evening were Aladdin, Minnie, Pluto, Chip, Dale and Alice. You take your picture with Goofy before your meal, but he never came to our table. We were able to ride the monorail from Tomorrowland to downtown Disney to save a little walking. I made a reservation about a month earlier, so we were able to walk right in after our picture with Goofy. My reservation was for 6:15. I was disappointed that our waitress would not give us any of the dessert recipes that I requested. They normally do this for you at Walt Disney World. I was also not happy that you have to pay an 18% tip before you even sit down for your meal. Where we come from a waitress has to earn a tip. Other than the fact that the meal was the most expensive we have EVER eaten, we still enjoyed it, knowing it would probably be a one time thing to try.

Great selections and quality of food

Cons:

Can be a bit of a wait to get in

Had a 5pm reservation, which is when it opens. EVERYBODY else also had a 5pm check in. It can cause a backup to get in as they first want each group to come forward and get their picture taken. We asked to bypass the picture because we were so hungry and also pictured out for the day.
For a buffet, it rocked. I will put it right up there with the Cape May Cafe in WDW. Selection was great and quality was fantastic. Kids station had all kinds of selections including PB&J Pizza. I didn't try it, but the kids seem to love it. Dessert area was also as huge.
Lots of characters making the rounds. Never saw Mickey, but got plenty of Goofy, Minnie, a Princess, and Chip and Dale. All stopped and interacted with Jr for pictures and autographs. Overall, I was thoroughly pleased and thought it was better than my previous experiences at Chef Mickey at WDW when it came to food selections, quality, and character interaction.

Really enjoyed this. We're used to Chef Mickeys at WDW but this is much, much better. Food was very good and character interaction is much longer and more involved.

No real character rotation pattern

We ate dinner here for the first time on 7/18. We are WDW veterans and have often eaten at Chef Mickey's. We were pretty impressed with how organized Goofy's Kitchen was in comparison! We liked getting to pay right up front (and that the tip was already included). They also gave a discount for our Disney Visa. We took our picture with Goofy (which we ended up buying because it was pretty cute!), then were seated right away. Our server was very good with refills and plate removal.
The food was pretty good. The carved steak was delicious, as was the shrimp pasta and mac and cheese pizza. The dessert selection was much larger than we expected and everything was pretty good (even the "worms in dirt").
Throughout dinner, we saw Minnie Mouse, Pinocchio, Peter Pan, Chip, Dale, and Snow White. There did not seem to be a set rotation as to how the characters came around (we ended up missing the Fairy Godmother, who seemed to disappear after being spotted right when we were seated). The characters were very sweet and took some good pictures with us (we were on our honeymoon and when Dale noticed our Just Married buttons, he pushed my husband out of his chair, sat it in and held my hand instead, which made for a very cute picture).
Overall, it was a good meal, a good break from the park, and we enjoyed having a chance to see the Disneyland hotel (very impressed with the pool area).

We had dinner here on April 7th. Had 3 and 4 year old princesses with us so they loved the character interaction. Special kudos to the Fairy Godmother who spent extra time talking to our newly BBB made over princesses. They loved every minute with her! Service was excellent (so much so that a few times while we were interacting with characters our not yet finished plates were cleared!). Overall, this is a fun place (if not a bit out of the way-especially during DLH construction)!

We went here for dinner. Usually in the past, it has only been Goofy and four of his friends as dinner and then at the breakfast it is 6 of his friends. Well, they might've finally got the hint to do 6 characters for dinner too.
But anyways, the food was so good, the ceasar salad, meat platter, mac and cheese, and much more, but it was all good. We had reservations here for 5:30pm but we were tired and left the park and got to Goofy's Kitchen at about 5 or 505pm. When we got to Goofy's, we got our pic taken with Goofy and then headed up to the ballroom, since the real Goofy's Kitchen is getting renovated. (The ballroom has been renamed "Goofy's Ballroom"). The renovation will be complete by January 22, 2011. Well, anyways when we got up to the ballroom, we were immediately took to our table by Pluto and Minnie. Then when we got situated, and Started getting our food then the other characters started rollin' out. The characters that we saw were Goofy, Pluto, Chip, Dale, Minnie, Mulan, and Belle. So you could really tell that the characters were bored because they were just politely walking around because it was really slow tonight so.
