We travel here every year and we like the Falls section. They are starting to update them with flat screen tv's, amd more modern bathrooms.
We had a 2 bedroom and it was really clean and nice. We did the no housekeeping price which was nice. We never get cleaning service at any hotel we stay at as I don't trust anyone in my room.
They put nice little restaurants on site for the kids like A&W, KFC. The kids really like it here. The staff was great. No wait to get in our room as all the years we've been coming, we only had to wait 1 time and that was fine. We just went to lunch and came back.
A lot of people request the Cascades section but I didn't like them. I thought the rooms were smaller so we requested to move over to the Falls. They have a small slide for the kids but plenty of pools that stay open to 1 am which was great since the parks close around 10 or 11 pm. I would continue to come here even without the kids once they get older. Keep up the good work, Sheraton.

Still haven't seen much improvement in Customer service. We are owners, and everything is all sunshine and roses til you have a problem. The one major improvement was the refurbishment, but this was at a cost well above our yearly maintainence fees. We were charged $700 above our normally yearly maintainence fees. The villas look lovely now, and are much cleaner. The restuarants are good for breakfast and they do deliver to rooms. The eneral store is fairly well stocked and the villa pre stock option is a nice service. The 2-3 sales calls a day trying to get us to buy more timed gets a little annoying

Just returned from another stay at Vistana,8-9-08 to 8-16-08, and I am happy to report that the Fountains Villas have now been completely updated. Gone are the old 80's style deco motif. Everything has been newly rehabbed, from the new ceramic tile flooring and carpeting, showers and toilets, and all new kitchens and appliances to go with them. Also they now have large HD tv's in all the living rooms, and also in both the master suite and 2nd bedrooms. Also, all of the beds have been replaced. They were a little hard but the Villa I had, only had one other family in it before mine, so every thing was brand new.
Some of the other areas of the resort, which is huge, over 120 acres, are still on going with rehabs, but it in no way effected the guest areas and everything was very enjoyable. Pool areas were all great, well maintained and cleaned, and the restaurants were good as well.
The only thing I have to say bad was the 3 time a day sales pitch phone calls, that never stopped, even after I had asked them to stop, they kept calling, and at all times of day and night. I'm already an owner and they never stopped, I couldn't imagine if a non owner was there, how'd they harass them with phone calls. After the 3rd day we just took the phone off the hook and that solved that problem.
Other than the phone calls everything was great and I think my fellow Allears readers would love the resort.
Enjoy your stay.....

We just returned from 8 nights at the resort.
Our party of five, 3 adults, and 2 six year olds had no problem with our room which was in Cascades, on the second floor in the 2100's. We had a one bedroom suite, and they were very happy to give us a roll away for the third adult. The room was clean, large, well maintained, and the boys loved the jacuzzi tub.
Check in was fast and efficient, and the porters were very efficient with the baggage, and in giving us a lift to the room when we were tired.
The pools were very nice, and food and beverage service was available at pool side. However, the poolside service seemed to end at about 4:00 pm, and there was only one person serving our very large pool area.
We had one problem, and it was in our minds a major one. The transportation to and from the parks was in one word, inadequate. You could get a bus at around 8, 9:20, 11, and 12 noon to the parks, and returning at about 1 pm, 6, 8 ,10. Many days we wanted to return to the resort at 3 or 4, and ended up using Disney transportation to get to Downtown disney to catch a cab to the Vistana. It ended up costing about $10, and more importantly costing about 1 - 1 1/2 hours of precious time to do so.
One day the 9:20 am bus did not show at all. We ended up complaining to the staff, who eventually arranged transportation for the day. We never got to the Magic Kingdom, until almost noon, which resulted in large lines, much frustration, and an early return. It was pretty much a wasted day.
Another day, the bus dropped off the people going to the Magic Kingdom at Epcot to avoid a Department of Transportation inspection!!!, yes the bus driver told us this.
I would not recommend this resort to anyone relying on the provided transportation to access the parks.

My spouse and children (boy – 9, daughter 5) recently returned from a six (Jan 16-22) night stay at this resort. Our room was in bld 2400 – first floor, 2 bedroom in the Cascades section.
First off, let me say that we had a fabulous rate via Allears - $109, per night, no housekeeping. This puts all of the negatives in perspective for us. No time share presentation required.
Check in was a breeze (we arrived late, after 11 pm – with NO other customers around). We did not even have to go to the dreaded second stop for our parking pass. The gal checking us in was very pleasant. I requested “no sales calls”, and she marked our profile with “no solicitations”. We did receive numerous voicemails the first two days, (welcome package, tours for $75, portrait offer, etc.) but never any ringing phone calls. The voicemails ended on day 3.
The room was clean. I was a tad worried about being on the first floor, but the room was very quite. The beds were very comfortable. Everything was in working order. One could see that the room was freshly painted – as there was drops of paint all over the tile flooring… odd. The refrigerator showed spots of rust that had been recently over painted, as well as the bottom area of the oven. The inside of the refrigerator was spotless. The kitchen was well stocked with all needed items, etc. It was great to have three TVs, the whirlpool tub and washer and dryer. No problems with bugs. We did not partake in any of the planned activities. We all enjoyed the Cascades pool. The waterfalls and fountains were appreciated by our children, and the water was headed very warm!
The location is super & very near the xway. We typically stay on Disney property, but with our rental car, I am sure we arrived at the parks faster than the property transportation. The location is near shopping, dining, putt-putt, etc. We saved a great deal by making our own breakfast and occasional lunch/dinner in the condo.
The big downer/bummer is that we left the condo with freshly washed clothes – upon our return home, I had to rewash everything as our suitcases and clothing smelled of must/mildew. We really did not notice this smell in our room, but obviously this is a major concern. I did notice moisture on the inside of the master bedroom windows during our stay.
We would certainly stay again for such a great rate – even with the less than perfect conditions. If I had paid a higher rate I would have rated this stay much lower.
