My husband and I stayed at Ramada Maingate for 5 nights in May 2012. We arrived at the hotel very late the first night, but we were quickly checked in by a friendly staff member. Our room was above and beyond our expectations. We stayed in a renovated king room with a jacuzzi tub. The room was spacious and clean. The jacuzzi tub was to die for! Our original plan was to get to our room, shower and go right to sleep, but I just couldn't resist the call of that fabulous tub.
Housekeeping was always thorough and efficient. Both my husband and I enjoyed the free WiFi-- something you'll pay $10+ a day for at other Anaheim hotels! We also thought the complimentary breakfast was great. They always had a big selection, and we appreciated being able to grab a bagel and coffee on our way to the parks each morning.
The biggest perk we enjoyed at Ramada Maingate was the location. Lots of hotels are "within walking distance" to Disneyland, but Ramada Maingate is literally across the street! It took us 3-4 minutes to walk from our hotel room to Disneyland each morning. We couldn't believe how quick it was to get from our room to parks so we could enjoy our day. I would highly recommend Ramada Maingate to anyone looking for a clean, renovated hotel near Disneyland. We will definitely be back!

My group stayed here Memorial Day weekend 2011. There were lots of people, but it never seemed loud. The front desk staff was great. Going above and beyond to help us when the person with the voucher's flight was delayed. They contacted Disney Reservations and got it worked out for us. The room was small. A tight fit for the 3 of us. Not enough towels. Overall it was worth every penny.

We stayed here for two nights in February 2011 after attending a wedding in LA. There were three of us the first night and two the second night. The hotel is across the street from the maingate and just a short walk to the turnstiles. You can't beat the location! They also have very reasonable rates. The room was a little small with three of us, but we really just needed somewhere to sleep after a long day at the parks. It could be tight for a family of 4 and their luggage. The room was recently refurbished and had new bedding and bathroom fixtures. The refrigerator and microwave came in handy for breakfast. I'm not sure if the rooms around us were occupied, but we did not hear any other guests through the walls/ceiling.
The front desk staff was friendly (despite our checking in at midnight!) and quickly brought additional towels. The pool was being refurbished, so I can't rate the pool.
The breakfast included cereal, juice/coffee (nescafe), fruit, bagels, hard boiled eggs, bread to toast and various pastries. The cereal choices were: Frosted Flakes, Special K, Fruit Loops and one more that I can't remember. They had bananas, oranges and apples. They did have a toaster to toast the bread in. The breakfast room is in a tiny little building. You're lucky to get four people in there max. You do have to take your food back to your room. They do not have seating. We aren't picky, so the fact that they had fresh fruit and wheat bread is a plus to us.
I would definitely recommend the hotel. We typically get to the parks for rope drop and stay until closing, so the location is great.
