I just got back from a 5 night stay in March 2019 at Candy Cane Inn. There were 3 females in the room.

The room was clean with plenty of space for our suitcases and drawers to put clothes in. There was a mini fridge in the room that’s could actually freeze bottles of water we put in. There was a safe, a one cup coffee maker with supplies, flat screen tv and a cool little alarm clock that showed the time on 3 sides so both double beds can see the time from the sleeping position.

Our only room complaint was the pillows. Two of us had issues with our necks because they were so fat and hard. But, we asked the front desk for flatter pillows and they were delivered that night.

The continental breakfast had something for everyone. Apples, oranges and bananas first in line. Then slices of bread, different flavored bagels, muffins, fresh donuts and donut holes. There were packs of cream cheese, jelly, peanut butter and butter as well as toasters. There was another table with cheese cubes, hard boiled eggs and small containers if Yoplait yogurt. There was a drink station with juice, milk and coffee. Cereal was outside the breakfast area around the pool with another coffee station.

The bus ran to the parks every 30 minutes. It was about an 8 minute drive depending on lights. Otherwise you could walk to the gate within 15 minutes.

The Inn is next to a tourist gift shop and then a 7-11 on the corner. Across the street from that is a handy CVS and a Walgreens on the other corner.

We loved the hotel. The landscaping was beautiful, the room was totally quiet, beds were comfortable, staff was friendly and responsive. It was great!

Pros:

Close park proximity, quiet, comfortable, affordable, breakfast, shuttle

We stayed here as a family of 4, perfect location! Same side of the street as Disneyland and California Adventure. You can actually see the backside of CarsLand from the parking lot of the hotel. About 1/2 mile walk to the entrance. Wonderful selection of a continental breakfast, we ate here every morning.

Pros:

distance, continental breakfast

Cons:

An older hotel, but it's been kept up very well. The grounds are very nice - a little oasis of greenery in the asphalt jungle of Anaheim. The rooms are nicely appointed and the beds are comfortable. The Continental Breakfast is fine. Mostly bread, pastries, and cereal, although hot cereal, hard boiled eggs and whole fruits are available. Depending on how fast you walk it's an 8-15 minute walk to the parks. But the hotel offers a free shuttle service - it leaves for the parks on the hour and half hour, and returns at the 15 and 45 minute marks. Very reliable. The staff is very friendly and pleasant.

Pros:

Clean rooms, friendly staff, quiet location

We stayed at the Candy Cane Inn for our first trip to Disneyland. The hotel is very old but the room is updated, the flowers and bushes are beautiful. It backs up to Cars Land. We were very impressed with the location and for the money. We booked through Disneyland.

Pros:

location, cleaniness, price, quiet
