The hotel itself is lovely. The rooms are well appointed, though smaller than most concierge rooms at WDW (or even at the DL Hotel). In my experience, they seem most close in size and layout to those at Wilderness Lodge. We had booked a premium park view. We ended up with a view of the other side of the hotel with a small slice of California Screamin' viewable over the top of the hotel. This doesn't seem worth an extra cost.

The proximity to the parks, particularly to CA Adventure, is excellent. We booked late and expected to pay a premium, but $2000 for two nights is more than we would pay at other high-end resorts. Based on that alone, the service was far inferior, the lounge hasn't had an update in at least 3-4 years and is getting shabby and the offerings in the lounge are just OK.

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again on a passholder or other special rate, but I would not choose to pay for club level or a view again. In terms of club level, I much prefer the Disneyland Hotel--also prefer their room decor since their remodel a few years ago.

Pros:

Location--can't beat the proximity to the parks!

Cons:

Not worth the extra cost for concierge
