Pros: Location of course, nicely themed and just a really nice resort.
Cons: In room pizza

Review submitted by LynnM:

We (2 adults) just got back from a 6 night stay at the Yacht Club, Regatta club level. This was a wonderful experience, service was top notch. This is our favorite resort, third time staying here. It is just lovely and relaxing. Glad Disney had a discounted rate running for the Regatta club, this made our stay even more special.

Pros: Location, service, comfy beds, hotel is just beautiful
Cons: None

This was our first stay Concierge Level at the Yacht Club 10/26 - 10/31. Me, DH, DD 7, DS 5. We were spoiled rotten all week and it was wonderful! The food and drink offerings were so convenient to have for the kids, especially in the morning before heading to the parks. It was such a treat to have nice cold drinks and snacks waiting for us. It was an extremely hot week, and we returned each evening to a cool, spotless room with turndown service. The beds were amazingly plush and comfortable. A special thank you to Robin for helping my second grader with her scrapbook assignment for school. The hotel had a very relaxed and formal feel to it, but we did not find it to be stuffy at all. Cannot beat the pool and location. It will be hard to stay anywhere else!!

Pros: location, theme, pool
Cons: none that I can think of

The new concierge rooms are fabulous! New drapes, carpets, bedding, flat panels on the wall, and H2O products really make it shine. We were personally greeted upon arrival and taken up to the CF for check in. The lounge is small but nice and offers I would say standard fare through out the day. The best would be the cocktail hour which usually consists of wine, cheese, crackers and two hot items. It was a nice way to start the evening. I found the staff cordial and accommodating and usually giving us a big hello as we passed the desk. Housekeeping was prompt with turn down service being a nice perk. I felt like my room was a couple of miles away from the lounge but I counted it as exercise! if you have the extra money, I would try the concierge floor at least once.

Pros: Close to Epcot and Studios, Great Pool
Cons: Some staff snobby

Overall my family of five had a great time. Check in was a little slow due to the fact only certain people have access to the concierge floor and they were all busy when I arrived. Some of the staff were not too helpful but everything on the club level floor was great. The pool is spectacular and the rooms were in good shape. Mousekeeping was good. The lounge got crowded during busy times but you never had to wait to get any food and most of the staff was willing to go out of their way to accomodate any request. I will say that anyone looking to have lunch or breakfast from the food offerings in the lounge will not be satisfied. We were on the dining plan and found the lounge to be great for breakfast and snacks while taking a break from the park.

Pros: very clean room, water view, stormalong bay, attention to detail
Cons: coffee

We stayed here again for the July 4th long weekend. Our waterview room had been renovated with new carpet, bedding, curtains, and a new flatscreen TV. I love how mousekeeping makes the bed, with the blanket sandwiched between 2 sheets. As a nurse and a bit of a germ-a-phob I was really impressed how clean our room was. Mousekeeping does such a wonderful job and should be commended! Having access to drinks and snacks is really great as well. The staff got us some awesome last minute dining reservations. We really can't imagine staying anywhere else. The pool is just the best. The staff is always cheerful and helpful. Being on vacation time is money to me. Concierge, while more expensive, is so financially worth it. A quick stop in the lounge for breakfast gets us to the park sooner. Accessibility to drinks on our floor meant there was no hunting for expensive vending machines, walking to beach club to have mugs filled, or hauling drinks from home in our luggage. I think my child almost drank his weight in chocolate milk. The evening cordials and little perfect deserts are nice to come home to. We love the Yacht Club concierge! I wish I could give them a higher rating than a ten.

Pros: Great location; friendly staff
Cons: Small lounge area

We (two adults) stayed here May 5 - 12, 2009. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They did a great job with both advance (via telephone a couple of weeks before we arrived) and last minute dining reservations.
The lounge offers a reasonable selection of food and beverage, especially a decent selection of breakfast choices (cereal, pastries, bagels and fruit).
We've stayed here and at a couple of other concierge level WDW hotels (Boardwalk and Polynesian). The Boardwalk had a somewhat nicer lounge space. The Polynesian seemed more oriented to families than adults. However, the staff we encountered on this visit to the YC were the best.

Pros: stormalong bay, last minute dinner reservations, greetings from cast members, endless supply of Perrier and Diet Coke
Cons: same snacks every day, BAD COFFEE

We just got back from Disney two days ago. Having annual passes we've stayed @ a lot of different Disney resorts. This trip we were celebrating our son's 4th birthday, and split our stay between the Contemporary and Yacht Club Concierge. We love Yacht Club! This is our favorite resort! The extra money to stay concierge is so worth it to us. We like to travel light. Staying @ this level I never have to pack snacks or drinks for my child. It's so nice to be able to walk right into the lounge when we get back from the parks and have drinks available. Also, I hate having to fool with making dining reservations months in advance. The concierge cast members seem to always be able to get us in last minute to some of the best restaurants in Disney. We also like being greeted by name every time we "came home." The cast members truly make staying concierge a real value to us. We so appreciate their service. Mousekeeping is incredible; our room was always immaculately clean. The turndown service was nice. Our room was only a short walk from the main elevators. We were able to see EPCOT fireworks from our balcony. Being able to use Stormalong bay, and walk into the back side of EPCOT for dinner are big pluses for us. I would highly recommend Regatta Club. Be warned though, once you stay concierge it's really hard to go back to staying in a regular room. Thank goodness for annual pass discounts! We love Yacht Club!

Pros: Great Location, Beautiful Grounds
Cons: Some Staff

We stayed at the Regatta Club for 8 nights at the end of March.
This was our first stay at the Yacht Club and I must say that it is a beautiful hotel. We are 2 adults with no children and I feel that this is a very adult hotel - in both theme and demeanor. The lobby is gorgeous and has the most wonderful scent. The back grounds surrounding the lake are stunning and the pool area is one of the best.
The reason to stay here is the location. Its a short walk to Epcot (where we spend a lot of time) a little bit longer walk (or boat ride) to Disney Hollywood Studios and bus transport everywhere else. The buses were never crowded - a factor I think of the relatively small number of rooms at the hotel.
The Regatta Club level was nice. I enjoyed being greeted by name and escorted to our personal check in. The cast member who checked us in was amazing - friendly, helpful and full of information. I will say that this was not always the case. You would think that only cast members with outstanding customer service skills would be assigned to a club level concierge. This was not the case here. One particular CM was not nice and often seemed to being going out of her way to be unhelpful. She had a personal bias against myself and my traveling companion and it showed. I felt it extremely unprofessional. Unfortunately - she seemed to be there more often than not.
We did not let it ruin our stay. The food offerings were good and plentiful and most CMs were very kind and helpful.
I would recommend this hotel, but I am writing to the hotel general manager about the way we were treated.

Pros: location, dinner reservations and tours
Cons: lack of atmosphere

We stayed over President's week-end on the YC concierge floor. We requested a room with 2 queens and a day bed, but got a king instead. Our room was close to the lounge and elevator though, so that was a plus.

When you get off the elevator there are 2 desks staffed by CMs. We were not greeted getting off the Magical Express and experienced some confusion about our check-in. They had balloons in the room for my son, (that I requested) and a poster of Jack Sparrow-saying Happy Birthday, even though I said it was not his birthday, but that we were celebrating something else. They also had a Tink poster for my sister-in-law.
The lounge closes in between food offering, so you can't relax in there, or just grab a drink. The view was disappointingly of the parking lot and the room felt cramped. It had a TV with the Disney channel and a large tv usually on CNN.

Since the food offerings were previously described I won't go over them again, but they were nothing you would not see at a Hampton Inn free breakfast and afternoon snack.

They did have cheese and crackers and 2 hot items in the evening, plus uncrustables for the kids, followed by the desserts and drinks later. The desserts were the same each day: small rice krispie treats, mini key lime tarts and cheesecakes and cookies. I would not consider it enough for a meal of any kind.

We did not find the service outstanding. Had to go to the desk to ask for an Evian bottle to take to the room-no regular water bottles, also had to ask for chocolate milk. Ice was often empty and the food was not replenished much. No follow up to see how things were by concierge, did not acknowledge you getting off elevator-just little things you would expect. At AKL they give a little note thanking you the last night and weather for at home. They did not even acknowledge that we were leaving and we did not get a bill under our door.
Although we loved the YC area and pool, we would not pay to stay concierge there again. They did get us our ADR and book 2 tours, but there was quite a mix up during the process.
Having stayed at AKL, WL, and CR on the concierge levels, I found their service more outgoing and friendly and the atmosphere much better.

Pros: Location
Cons: off & on service

This was the 6th time we had stayed at the Yacht Club Regatta Club. And might be the last visit. I will say it wasn't due to the condition of resort which wasn't bad. The rooms were okay but could be nicer when they redo. The CMs at the resort main & club level was lacking. We had several birthdays & an anniversary which I placed with the IPO & followed up when I got there. The days they were to deliver the cards, etc., they wasn't. Got the cards the last day we checked out. They had plenty of notice so that knocks off a point. Housekeeping left a lot to be desired. One day no towels left. I just ask for a clean room & towels how simple is that? I don't care if they make the room just take the used towels & replaced them with new ones. One day my husband was taking a shower & the privacy sign was on door. The maid walked in. I was on the bed watching TV. I asked her why didn't she knocked & she said she had to clean the room etc. This was at 7:30 AM. There was no reason to come into room when sign was on the door. She also could have knocked. After I made her leave so poor husband could come out & get dressed, I walked down to concierge desk & told them. They were shocked & said they would call down to house keeping. I asked them to do it now in front of me since they have forgotten things. The supervisor called me & said she was sorry and that it wouldn't happen again. We took my son & his wife down for their anniversary & picked the Yacht Club. They liked their room & the view. We liked ours as well but there were something missing from the previous times we have stayed there. Lack of caring on the CMs maybe. I don't know but not sure if I will go back.

Pros: Staff, location, & transporation
Cons: none

We stayed at the YC for the first leg of our honeymoon June 8-14th. We LOVED it. We were greeted at our car by a lovely CM and he took us directly to the 5th floor and showed us a round before taking us back to the CM's designated for this level only. Our room was ready and was perfect. A king bed with a view of the lake and light house. Absolutely perfect for our honeymoon. We were right next door to the staff room, but we never heard a peep. The tv could be updated...but I hear that is already in the works. We never had any issues, in fact the CM stopped us one night we were headed back out after appetizers and gave us some light up braclets. It was a nice touch. Another night our package we had, had delivered to the hotel was already waiting for us in our room! That was so convienent. The turn down service every night was so nice to have. Transportation was always good. Actually much better than you would expect for June. We never waited more than 5-10 min's for a bus or boat except one night at DHS closing. We choose to walk the path back and it took us about 15 min's. All in all I could not have asked for more!

Pros: Excellent service throughout the hotel
Cons: Variety in breakfast foods

We just returned from our stay at the Yacht Club concierge level. We have stayed at the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian in the past and this hotel, by far, is the best. You are greeted at arrival, by name and escorted to the 5th floor. There, you are welcomed, offered something to drink or snack on, and checked in promptly and efficiently. The staff, on the whole, is welcoming and cordial and professional. They deal with any problems or situations that arise.
The food selections during the day are wonderful. I would like to see a little more variety in the morning breakfast, rather than they same donuts and muffins day after day.
The location can't be beat for Epcot. The pool is fantastic, even for adults. Everything was just fabulous at this hotel and we will definitely return in the future.

Pros: Location to Epcot & Hollywood Studios
Cons: Lounge

We stayed here 4/20 to 4/26. The location of the hotel itself cannot be beat, walking distance to Epcot is definitely a plus. The rooms are okay, definitely in need of refurbishment. We had a water view and we could see the lighthouse at the dock from our room, the view was very nice.

The lounge is way too small for the number of guests at club level. The food offerings were the same every day and at night a different hot soup and hors d'oeuvres was offered. A little more variety would have been nice. The staff in the lounge were not friendly at all as compared to other club level resorts.

We would stay here again or try the Beach Club since it is a little closer to Epcot but we would probably not stay club level again at this resort.

Pros: lounge & staff
Cons: rooms view

We were chosen as the family(myself,husband,3 sons) of the day for YOMD and were upgraded to concierge. What a wonderful surprise. The lounge was so handy. We had breakfast there every morning, and in the evening we had cordials. The staff was fantastic and answered all of our question and changed a few ADR for us. Bob was invaluable, we had a few issues with our Keys to the World and he was very helpful in straighten it out. The rooms were nice but nothing out of the ordinary. Our view off our balcony was of the front drive in area, I think if I had actually paid for this upgrade I would have been disappointed in the location of the room. As far as the recommendation, if you can afford it, it is absolutely the best pampering.

Pros: wonderful staff, mousekeeping was great, lounge was always stock
Cons: none

This was the first time that we have stayed concierge and it was wonderful. The kids really enjoyed the lounge. The thought it was neat being able to get snacks and drinks anytime we returned to the 5th floor and having the "golden" key. It is diffently worth the extra expense to have such special treatment.
