The week of 06/22/10, took my two 6 year old girls for their surprise makeover before the Cinderella Royal table breakfast. We waited about 10 minute for a 9:05 reservation but we were early. It was the best experience ever. The photographer took so many pictures during the session. He captured the moments when they revealed what they looked like that was priceless. This is a little pricey but I think every little girl should do it once. They were complimented on how pretty they were and addressed as princess Belle. To top it off, we had reservations for the Cinderella's Royal Table right after that so the timing was perfect. They felt very special all day. Please make sure that if you do this, buy your dress before you get there because it costs a little more if you purchase it on property. Every little girl at the breakfast had on a princess dress.

Best experience for girls and they even did a "prince" while I was there. They put gel in his hair and put funky glitter in it. We had this done at the castle where they were handing out brochure out front (because it is so small on the inside). Parents would turn around and ask the child if they wanted to do this and the cast member would then tell them they had no opening for days and let me tell you, that made a few people angry. I can understand, this event is not well known, and to get your child's hopes up thinking they are handing out brochures because it is available, DW needs to make it clearer that advance reservation are required while handing our brochures.

It is every little girl's dream to be transformed into a princess and at Disney, they definitely fulfill all their expectations!! Although it is quite pricey, it is definitely worth doing at least once! My daughter is 6 and she looked absolutely beautiful and truly felt like a princess all day! The good thing is they photograph from start to finish on your photopass card and after the makeover is complete, they get their very own photo shoot. We love the pictures and we actually just ordered a 16x20 portrait because they turned out so well!!!

This was our first experience going here and we were very pleased with it. We arrived 15 min late for our reservation and were seated immediately. Our son, 9, got the cool dude and thought it was pretty cool.
Next was my 3yr old daughter, dressed in her Cinderella dress. She sat wonderfully as her godmother did her hair, the classic princess look, and the photo pass photographer took her pictures. She looked so cute when it was over. Her hair stayed for the rest of our trip.
I can't say enough wonderful things about their godmother, Jennifer. She did such a great job and was so interactive with the kids. This was an experience we will always remember.

Our third visit, always a cute experience for children and parents and nicer than the location at Disneyland.
The godmother we had this time did a good job on my grandaughters hair, but just had very little to say. She was a young staff member, but the young lady next to her was so very sweet to her child and asked her all kinds of question.
One of the photo pass men really went out of his way to take some special pictures of Caylin when she was out of the chair and ready to leave.
Love seeing all the little girls picking their dresses out, a very special time for all. Don't miss out on this experience and take a picture outside by the fountain after they are done.

Although it is a little pricey, it is definitely worth it! Our two girls have been twice and loved it both times at 3 and 4 and at 5 and 6 yrs. The Fairy Godmothers in training make them feel so special. The experience is certainly every little girls dream. We liked the castle boutique. The atmosphere of being in the castle to be transformed into a princess was truly so fitting. Then all these beautiful little princesses emerge from the castle truly living their own fairy tale and parade around the park with everyone Oohing and Ahhing! Isn't that what we all hope to provide for our little princesses? Just another magical moment from Disney. Thanks Disney for getting better and better.

My daughter was 5 when we went to Disney in September of '09 and she couldn't wait to be made as a princess. She wore her own Aurora dress and when we got there it seemed very busy but having reservations, we did not wait at all. They were ready for her and sat her down in a chair. She chose the hair-do she wanted, which I think it was the Classic princess. My daughter loves the beauty treatment and for someone to do her hair pretty and put on make-up, she was in heaven. It's really cute that they turn them away from the mirror until they are completely finished then with a Photopass photographer ready, they spin her around and get snap shots of her seeing herself for the first time. They get to take the remaining products used when completed. So, she got the comb, the make-up, plus the crown they put in her hair with a cute little Mickey barrett. Again, my daughter loves attention and the rest of the day was all about her. Everwhere you go, they call them "princess". We were walking to the buses from Downtown Disney and one of the cm's took his hat off and bowed to her and said, "Hello princess! Have a great day." When we went to get on the bus, the driver walked off the bus and said,"welcome aboard princess." We sat down and she turns to me and says, "mom, I'm a real princess." Sooo sweet! We ate lunch with the princesses at EPCOT and they talked to her as if she was one of them. Everwhere we went the CM's would bow and call her princess. We went to the MNSSHP and during the parade the characters would notice her and take off their hats and bow to her. Some even came up and when bowing, would kiss her hand.
Yes this experience is a little pricy, but she used her money that she made and for her to have this experience that she will forever remember, is priceless. If you bring your own dress it isn't that expensive. For hair and nails it was only $50 and the experience doesn't end when you leave the shop, so make sure you get your princess dressed early. Wonderful, wonderful time for any child that loves attention and is into the princess/prince theme.

My daughter has been to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique three times now. Each one has been a very positive and memorable experience. The first when she was 9 we did the works with costume. The second when she was 10 we brought our own costume. This past year at 12 no costume, just hair and make-up. I will do a fast summary of the first two trips. When she picked out a costume, it felt very special. She was taken to a dressing room and the brought her costume in a garment bag, they brought gold flip flops for her because her feet were too big for the shoes. She was beside herself enjoying the entire experience and evening. The cast members throughout the parks called her princess each time she went.
The last time she went, I was a little nervous because of her being 12. I was very pleasantly surprised. She wore a very funky paint splattered shirt, skort, and fingerless gloves and had her hair done with the different fun spikey colors. I believe it was the pop princess. We were near the end of the day. I could hear the Fairy Godmothers In Training talking as she walked in and making little remarks "Oooo...Ooo", "yes", etc...When she reached her chair, her FGIT threw her hands up and said loudly "yes I got her!" She then proceeded to talk to her about music, and boys, which Disney movie to go see on a first date when she is older. She asked her about her friends, games, texting, clothes that she likes, TV shows, etc. Every time someone was finished or someone new would come near, she would tell them they had to come over and she would tell them all about my DD and then show them what she was wearing. Soon there were 2 FGITs fussing over her and talking to her about all sorts of things. By the end, there were three of them there fussing over her and she was showing them pictures on my phone. She felt very special and not at all out of place for being older. When we were leaving, there were actually 2 teenagers getting the same thing done as her.
I was extremely pleasantly surprised at how she was treated differently yet just as special and magical as when she was younger. As to the price, yes it is more expensive than some of the similar things in malls, which we have done as well. However in my mind, you are paying for the experience and nothing done anywhere else has compared to the memories created on our visits to the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique.

castle is crowded with no place to sit

Had 1:00 reservation for BBB at the Castle on 11/9. Waited about 7 minutes past our time to be taken in.
Yes the Castle is very crowded and there is very little seating, but thought it was somehow more special to have this done here as this was our first trip. Next time we would definitely do Downtown as the shop is much bigger.
My daughter is 6 and absolutely loved this experience. For the $54.95 it can't be beat. They treated her like a princess. Her Godmother was very nice. The nails and makeup are great - not over done - and you get all the items to take home. She got the Diva hairstyle which is a long hairpiece in your choice of colors. They pull the childs natural hair back and braid it. The hairpiece goes over it and they tease the top to create a large puffy bun look. She got 2 crystal bobby-pins with mickey symbols on them as well. The photopass team took over 20 pictures of her through-out the process. And at the end she got sprinkled with fairy dust. You can at any time go to the shop at the entrance to the park and they will take portrait studio like photos of her for your photopass as well.
Tips:
- Bring your own costume from home - can save you lots of money.
- Schedule for when you will have more time in the parks or a special dinner because all the cast members will make a big fuss.
- The spray they use could hold the hair through a hurricane so unless you are going swimming expect the style to last 2 or even 3 days easy.
- If you have a boy, send him to the Pirates League so he has his own special experience. They are equally impressive there (and less expensive).
Our only problem is that we also wanted to purchase the tiny crown that came with the other Princess Hairdo (classic bun). But at the Castle the Godmother said we couldn't do that. She sent me across the street to a shop but there were none. I checked every shop we passed that day in MK but had not luck. The next day at Downtown, right in the shop with the BBB I found them for sale. Not sure why the Castle just wouldn't sell me one. Anyway, the crown was $10. The mickey shaped clip, the crystal bobby pins and the hair extensions were all $10 each. Which means either hairstyle has $20 worth of stuff. Add in the makeup, nail polish and jewels they stick to her cheek, and you are already in the 25-30 dollar range. So 54.95 for the whole thing seems more than reasonable.
The little ones faces just light up when they are turned to see themselves. It truly was a wonderful 40 minutes. The memories will last forever of her smile, and her thanking me with a big hug and kiss.

My DD and I had a great mother-daughter time here. We reserved (b/c you need rezzies here) An early time, 9:00 AM, at the castle location, package two.
Upon booking, I was told to bring our own hairbrush and clean nails, FYI. This was helpful b/c I had entertained thoughts of getting Natalie's nails done, but if they were doing them in WDW, there was no need to before we left home. They also ask witch package you'll be getting, but if you change your mind once you get there, you can. And they took my info and card number to hold our rez.
We were eating at CRT afterward, and if you can, i suggest doing this b/c its just a nice princess way to spend a morning @ MK with just you and your dd, just give at least an hour and a half in between ressies. If you're not eating at CRT, i would opt for going to the downtown BBB, its much bigger which = less crowded.
Upon arrival, we checked in & the hostess gave us Natalie's invitation with her name on it, which was special. Now I was going to upgrade her to the 'everything' package & lay down the big bucks, but the hostess was eager to move us along and didn't give us a chance to get a word in edge wise, so I just figured if they weren't going to take the time to even ask how our morning has been, then I just didn't care. My DD didn't care anyway. I just wanted the whole portfolio thing that comes with the best package. But after she was seated, I did see that a BBB photopass guy was walking around taking snaps of ALL the girls and I informed him I would like him to take a lot of Nat b/c we had already prepurchased a photopass cd & I didn't have a lot of photos on the cd and it was already our 4th day! So he was happy to take LOTS of photos. Just ask. They seem to take pics anyway, but just tell him if you've bought the CD already and you want a lot.
They did eyeshadow, in girls choosing, lipstick and nail polish (all leftover makeup is sent home with the girl). They also let her pick her crown colour (she made it blue), and put the CUTEST Mickey rhinestone clip in the back of her hair, I have to admit, I wanted one and did wear hers one day to the park..LOL. They did sparkly spray for the pixie dust & a cute little saying and were done within 30 minutes. I couldn't believe that these ladies could get my DD's hair up like that without a cowlick on top! They are amazing! OH, they also gave her a sash, which she loved. They put everything that she wasn't wearing in a cute little pink bag at the end, we checked out, then left. My dd did wear her own Jasmine costume, a recycled Halloween costume from the Disney store and no one said anything.
This service is recommended, just be fore warned: I thought there would be no crowd since we went SO early that morning, but I was wrong. This place is always packed and is a small space, so you're gonna need ressie's. And don't expect the 'godmothers' to be overly zealous. I watched most of them while we were there and didn't witness anything spectacular about their personalities, just their talent with little girls hair. I think its b/c they are so busy all the time. Natalie said she didn't care to back, she's 6 BTW, But if she wanted to, I would let her, and pay for the big package, too :O) For what you get, its a good price for the 2nd package..prom up dos can sometimes be this expensive, too, and you don't get all the cute hair things or Disney princess makeup this experience comes with. And just remember, next time you go to WDW, your girl may just feel she's too old for this experience. Spoil them while their young, & hold onto every moment, you're in DISNEY! I do want to add a side note: apparently, the "GIT" can take tips now. I had read they could not, as a rule, before we went, so didn't offer a tip. But you should if they are great.

9/8/09: I had heard that the Cinderella Castle location was crowded so reserved the Downtown Disney location, and am so glad I did!
If you go to BBB at DD, please, please, please go to the Princess Parade. I'm so glad we adjusted our schedule as I found this incredibly touching!
A friend made our daughter a nonspecific princess dress ("sparkly pink") to wear, and we were at the World of Disney location a bit early but they brought us in right away. My daughter loved her invitation with her name on it, and got to pick her makeover style (Fairy Tale Princess), tiara color and nail polish color. We got the 2nd level package for $54.95.
The Fairy Godmother in Training did a great job (I did tip her about 20%), and the PhotoPass people took tons of pictures and invited us to a studio photo shoot (we did go shortly after we were finished). We were also invited to come back at 2pm for the Princess Parade.
DD was thrilled with the whole experience, and also to have the BBB ask for her autograph in their book -- she had mentioned this to me earlier (that she was hoping to have someone ask for her autograph). Later one of the cast members offered to take our picture and then asked her to sign HIS autograph book (just like hers, with Mickey and the gang on it)! She was in absolute heaven.
So the Princess Parade -- when we came back at 2pm, each girl got a personalized certificate and had photos taken (thanks, PhotoPass -- we later had these added to our card). The fairy godmothers in training prepped them ("elbow, elbow, wrist, wrist, wipe a tear, blow a kiss").
The princesses held onto a rope with bells and tambourines to jingle and the parade made its way from World of Disney to the carousel. People came out of all the stores to clap and ring bells for the princesses.
The parade ended, as all good ones must, with a ride on the beautiful carousel for all the princesses. When the princesses came out of the carousel gate, cast members threw tiny flowers on them.
And on the way back to our resort, the driver announced "Everyone, please be on your best behavior. There is a Disney Princess on the bus with us today." My daughter was excited beyond belief.

Took 2 granddaughters ages 5 and 6. My DGD6 had FGIT Julie. She was simply amazing. She talked to my DGD the whole time, helped her make good choices (Coach pkg) and not only made her up but made over her every minute. My granddaughter felt instantly comfortable with FGIT Julie. DGD5 had a different FGIT. She seemed pleasant enough, but very very distant and removed from the whole process. She only spoke when absolutely necessary. This granddaughter is shy and needed some coaxing, which she did not receive. She looked just as beautiful and was just as pleased as DGD6, but didn't have near the 'experience'. I tipped FGIT Julie and we both gave her a great big hug. I also tipped the other FGIT, hoping to encourage her to be more involved with these little ones.
We did this on our last day so the girls could take Disney home with them. Every passerby from outside the castle to the airport and home made over them. That was almost 48hrs ago and the hair is still holding!! We will definitely do this again. God Bless FGIT JULIE!!

Took my daughter age 9 on July 27th. When I tell you she never stopped smiling the entire day! Our FGIT-Wanda was excellent! We got some fabulous pictures from the photopass photographer. And my daughter loved that she was "fussed"over all day long. All the cast members addressed her as "princess", as well as strangers came up to her and said how beautiful she looked. We did the coach pkg. (no costume). It was a once in a life-time experience she won't soon forget!

I had made reservations for my 9 year old granddaughter as a surprise to her- My daughter-in-law and daughter took Chelsea off for a Magical Afternoon- This gave me a bit of time with my son and grandson and boyfriend. We roamed the park and waited for the call to say our Princess was ready.
I will never forget the look on Chelsea’s face when she appeared as Princess Jasmine- The smile would not go away and she was absolutely beautiful. To have this once in a lifetime memory for all of us to share is worth every penny!
The shots that the photographer took came out perfect! What a wonderful job he did. Lots of pictures and poses to choose from.
It was certainly a Magical Day for all of us!

My 5 year old daughter had her hair done at the Downtown Disney location on June 23rd. We arrived 20 minutes before our reservation time of 3:15pm. We did not get called in until 3:55. The location was packed. No where to stand while waiting (we had looked around the store as much as we could) being pushed around by the crowd. Once called back the salon was also packed and chaotic. Nowhere to sit or stand. Very little interaction with the fairy godmother who was working with my daughter. She was done by 4:15pm.
We took my daughter here 3 years ago and had a very different experience. Although, it was crowded as well at that time, we were called in within minutes of our appt. time. The salon seemed more organized and we were able to sit or stand comfortably to watch.
Although we were less than happy with our experience this time, my daughter was still thrilled. She got the diva hairdo with lots of colors. She looked adorable, felt so special and received lots of attention from cast members and other guests everywhere she went afterwards. She wore her Cinderella dress and we went to the 1900 Park Fare Cinderella dinner afterwards. The hairdo lasted for 3 days. Though by the end of the 3rd day it was wilting quite a bit. The only way I convinced her to take it out was by bribing her with the pool!
I do think we just had the misfortune of bad timing this time around and would certainly try again. Based on what some other guests told me about their appt times, I would try a time earlier in the day. As long as the cost does not increase too much by the time we go back, that is!!!
