Castaway is an exceptional destination and day. They have added new options since we were there 4 years ago. There are alot of activities or the option to do nothing at all. The adult beach is great- we had a morning yoga class on the beach- fantastic. The outdoor barbecue is very good- we ate at the adult beach which is smaller and quieter. Best day of the cruise!

We spent a fabulous day on Castaway Cay this June 29th. The weather was beautiful. My husband and daughter were a couple of the first people off the boat and found us great seats in the shade near the main dining pavillion, the store and restrooms. My parents, my husband and I and our 10 and 11 year old girls had a great relaxing day. The only negative I can say is that Pelican Plunge had long lines until approx. 2 in the afternoon. My girls waited until then and were able to ride the slides without waits.

If I could sail around in circles and make 5 stops at Castaway Cay, I would choose to do it. We love the island. We have taken part in activities like parasailing or snorkeling, but mostly we love to head out the beach early in the day and hang out. The food is average at best, but that is hardly a criticism. I'm not there to enjoy the burgers! Love, love, love Castaway Cay!

This was our first time to Castaway Cay. We had a great time before the weather turned on us.
My wife and daughter had never snorkeled before, and after talking them into it, they had the time of there lives.
The buffet at Cookies is good, not great but good. They served chicken, ribs, hamburgers, hot dogs, as well as salads and some desserts. The hamburgers are made fresh there which were good and the rest is made on the ship and brought out.
Overall our food experience was good.
We had planned to ride the jet skis at 2:00 pm but it was cancelled due to the weather changing.
We had sailed here on our trip which was from 5/26/12-6/2/12 on the Fantasy.
Disney does such a great job with this island!!!

Love the adult beach. Beautiful, quiet and great service. Just put on chairs on the edge of the water and enjoyed the day. Very relaxing. Entire island is our favorite part of the cruise.

Castaway Cay is simply AMAZING! The beach is beautiful, lunch at Cookies was great, and the activities are fun. We had such a great time swimming and snorkelling! A little piece of Disney paradise!

We've been on 8 DCL cruises and this is always a great port of call! When our son was young - we all enjoyed the kids' activities (he did the kid stuff while we enjoyed massages & the adult beach). We also enjoyed snorkeling and the beach activities. There's also shopping with Castaway Cay only merchandise to take home. Photo ops abound and make for great momentos once you get home!
As much fun as we've had on Castaway Cay - the flip side of this is how wonderfully quiet and empty the ship is while everyone else is enjoying the island. On our last cruise (May 2010) my husband and I enjoyed the nearly empty (a few cast members and 1 other couple) adult pool area and just being able to walk around the ship without lots of children running around. We love children - but after being around them the rest of the cruise - it was just nice to have the quiet time to relax on the top decks. There are no negatives to Castaway Cay - whether on the island or staying on the ship!

I love Castaway Cay. Me and DH was on 3/5/11-3/12/11 Western Caribbean cruise and we came here as our last port of call. I must say Castaway Cay is the best port of call from the whole trip. Our ship wasn't able to dock after 2nd try due to strong wind. It was sunny day and everything went well except the wind was strong and water was at the cold side but we managed to have lovely time there anyway. We rented bikes and bike around the island and it was a very relaxing and fun experience. Food and snacks was within reach and we didn't have to worry about anything, just relax on the beach enjoying the sun.
