The most exciting part of the Osborne Christmas lights is getting there just before they hit the switch. As the switch is thrown and the millions of lights light up the whole area all you hear from the crowds is an overwhelming AHHHHHHHHH! and OOOOOOOOO! Is the best time.

We have had our Disney vacation fall at the time when the Osborne lights were up multiple times. Our family loves these lights!!! They decorate it so beautifully and they even simulate snow w/ machines atop the buildings using probably soap suds??? It's cool to see a winter wonderland in central Florida! These lights are a must see.

Went on a week night in early December 2008. The initial lighting was crowded, so we walked around a little then went to get a bite to eat. It was much less crowded when we went back after dinner.
I had a hard time finding out what time the lights were scheduled to be turned on. I wanted to be there to see the lighting. I asked several cast members and no one seemed to know. It seems that the time fluctuates based on how dark it is on a particular night.

I love christmas time, and this just takes the cake for me. I have taken my mom every year for her birthday, and she loves it too! We make dinner reservations for around 4:15 this way we are done and sitting on the bench by 6 pm for the start of the light show at 6:15 the opening is just beautiful to see.

The whole block of lights was just awesome. The music was great, the snow coming off the roofs was a great touch.
Just awesome!

I love the new version more than the original. This time, I plan to be there for the initial lighting. I loved that I got some great pictures taken by the PhotoPass photographer with their camera & my camera as backup insurance. One tip, if Fantasmic is showing, this is a great time to see it, since almost everyone in the park is at the Osborne Lights. Also a good time to ride Tower of Terror-again, the Osborne Lights.

What a great surprise! We had spent the day at Hollywood Studios and when the Osbourne Festival started we wandered over and was mesmerized. Snow coming down while Christmas songs are playing. Beautiful lights and the smell of those roasted almonds. (WARNING: Those almonds are highly addictive). It was truly a magical night and we didn't want it to end.

After 3 trips during this time of year we have always seemed to miss this-I'm so glad we had it on our list this time. We were there at dusk, Jan. 2 and a reasonably sized crowd was waiting but we still had a great view because everything is UP. My sometimes sarcastic 6 year old was just beside herself with joy. It really was nice to see many faiths celebrating the season without excluding Christmas-they actually had a Nativity scene! They apparently do the music/dancing lights thing several times during the evening. We went through it again on our way out and had it virtually to ourselves, "snow" and all. Do make time to see it at least once. TIP: You've heard not to eat the yellow snow, don't do this stuff either--nasty!

This is the ultimate holiday treat. I have been two years in a row and really look forward to putting on my Mickey light necklaces, winter Ears and jumping into the crowd. But don't forget to grab your hot chocolate and roasted almonds to complete the experience!

My sister and I were here on Sunday Dec 7/08. This was truly the coldest night and day our whole trip, we actually wore woolen gloves. But we did not care at all. The lights were amazing and the light show was amazing. It was very crowded but we did not care because we were at Disney. They had this amazing light show. They had Christmas Music playing and with every beat of the music the lights would dance with the music. This is must and one night that we would not forget...it was truly beautiful. We actually saw this twice during our stay at Disney, that is how amazing it was.

We visited on Dec. 27th. I expected the crowds so they didn't bother me or hinder me from seeing and enjoying the lights.
The posted photos don't do it justice. You must experience it for yourself. It was really fun and is not to be missed during the holiday season!

We visited on December 16th and it was even better than we remembered from our visit 2 years ago. Wow! We were surprised at the crowds at that time of the year, but it was well worth it to navigate our way through. Don't forget to go down the side streets. We missed those last time.

First time seeing the lights. We enjoyed them very much, especially when they were orchestrated to the "Trans-Siberian Orchestra" music. It was crowded, but not unbearably so. The "snow" was nice, but left a strong unpleasant smell in the air. We stayed for about 30 minutes, through a couple of songs.
