Pros: Visiting Holiday Services
Cons: Lack of "Backstage Magic" and Good Content

Our tour guides were wonderful, energetic, and knowledgeable. However, the content of the tour was severely lacking. As a frequent visitor to Disney World, I was very excited participate in this tour to learn more about how Disney prepares for and celebrates the holidays. Instead, we mostly discussed and learned about the history of certain Christmas traditions at a few of the countries in World Showcase (something I can do myself when visiting EPCOT during Holidays around the world), visited Main Street for about 5 minutes at the most, and visited the Grand Floridian. I was hoping this tour would have allowed me to do more things that I would not have been able to do on my own as a regular guest at Disney World.

The one highlight of the trip was visiting Holiday Services. There, we saw where Disney stores and creates the Holiday decorations for all of Walt Disney World and the Disney Cruise Ships. Unfortunately, that visit only lasted about 20 minutes.

The descriptions of the tour are very misleading, which are posted on their official website:

"Take a delightful journey behind the scenes to see how Walt Disney World Resort is transformed into an international holiday wonderland."

"Every winter, Walt Disney World Resort is adorned with one of the most impressive collections of holiday trimmings on earth. Be taken backstage to places seldom seen by Guests. Visit Holiday Services, a veritable winter wonderland, and meet the Cast Members who create thousands of decorations used to dress up Disney Theme Parks and Resorts."

During our tour, we did not meet any cast members who create the decorations used to dress up the Disney Theme Parks and Resorts. The "backstage" and "behind the scenes" portion of the tour was almost non-existent. The only backstage part, was the tour bus parking "backstage" in order for us to access the "on stage" part of the park.

I am a huge Walt Disney World fan, especially during the Christmas season. However, this tour, which costs almost $90 per person, left an incredible amount to be desired. We chose this tour instead of Mickey's Very Merry Christmas party, and throughout the remainder of our vacation, we wish we had chosen differently.

Sorry for such a "bad" review! Sad
