One word here, Walter, our server, was the best waiter I have had in all my years of dining. The Charcuterie Board was delicious. The onion bread exceptional. Could of fooled me into thinking the poterhouse was prime, that is how juicy and marbled it was. Well worth the 2 credits will be coming back. Walter is a rockstar.

Dinner service on April 28. Seated within 5 minutes of reservation time. Cheese plate appetizer was exceptional. As one of 2 in our party also ordered a salad, hostess asked if we wanted the salad with the appetizer or after. It was great getting the option.
As noted in earlier comments:
Steaks (both filets, one medium and one medium rare) were cooked perfectly and tasted great.
Creamed spinach was wonderful
Dress code very lax. I had on a jacket and tie. Did not notice any other with a tie or jacket except servers. Majority were in shorts and if lucky a polo shirt (but many in T's)

We ate here on our Anniversary and loved it. We each started with Lobster Bisque which was really good. We then split the 16-oz Boneless Rib-Eye with carmody potato gratin instead of bone marrow. The steak was cooked perfect and so tender. We also had a side order of Sauteed Mushroom Caps - with garlic, cream and Cabernet Wine Sauce. Wow these were good. For dessert we were brought 5 small samples of different items for our anniversary. The service and food were excellent from start to finish.

My daughter and I had a 5:30 reservation which was nice not filled to capacity but reservations were a must. We split a shrimp cocktail and the 28oz Porterhouse steak with a side of creamed spinach. The onion rolls and garlic or butter were excellent. The shrimp cocktail was very generous served in an ice packed jar but the cocktail sauce slightly different than what we were used to. Could taste what appeared to be ketchup. The steak was UNBELIEVABLE. We ordered it medium but by some standards some would think it was rare. MUST SHARE THIS PORTERHOUSE. We were stuffed because we did not want to leave it behind but we could have fed my other daughter with that meal. Worth the price. Could easily feed 3 children with this one if not 4.

Hubby & I ate here on 12/19/12. This was our 2nd visit to the Yachtmans Steakhouse, and it didn't disappoint! We were taken only 5 minutes after our ressie time of 7:00. Our server Yum came right over to introduce herself & get our drink orders. We both had Lobster Bisque as an appetizer, and it was delicious. Hubby had the New York Strip, he said it was delicious, cooked and seasoned to perfection & very tender. I had the filet mignon, and like hubby, thought it was perfect. We also ordered the creamed spinach and that was just amazing, creamy & delicious. For dessert hubby had The Yachtsman Sundae & I had Crème Brulee. Both were scrumptious! This has become our favorite place to dine when at WDW, and only wish there was one back at home! This restaurant is totally worth 2 table service credits on the DDP!

The food was terrific, atmosphere was nice, hostess was accommodating but our waitress was rude as if we were annoying her. She was cranky and when we asked for something she acted as if it wasn't her job. We (all 13 of us) were very surprised and disappointed. The waitress shouldn't be in that line of work.

AMAZING! Celebrated anniversary 12/14, and had wonderful service from German. Best filet I have ever had. DH tried the ribeye with bone marrow. Great flavor to the marrow, but just not our cup of tea texturally. Everything else was simply stellar.

I have tried many a steak all around Walt Disney World Resort. By far, Yachstman surpasses them all. Including Le Cellier! (many will disagree). I recently ate at the Yachtsman on October 1, 2012. My family and I ordered the cheese sampler which had delightful pairings. Each cheese was paired with complimentary side like pickled grapes, which was a lot tastier than it sounds. The truffle mac and cheese was out of this world. It's great to share. Here comes the star of the whole dinner, the filet. It was cooked to perfection, medium just how I asked. The steak cut like butter and tasted like no other steak I've ever had. Yachtsman is a must do.

My best friend and husband ate here on Friday Nov 30 2012. Hubby has a dairy allergy so first thing the chef came out and was extremely friendly talking to us and my husband about what he would like to eat, hubby wanted the scallops as an appetizer but how they were prepared on the menu was not dairy free. The chef said he would "make up a dish" and the scallops came out in some sort of gumbo like dish prepared just for him which he said "was one of the best things he's ever eaten". Our waiter, Brandon was super and efficient, food was evenly spaced and very delicious. Hubby had the ribeye, and my friend and I had the filet, all amazing! We all shared the sorbet for dessert which was delicious! I will agree with others that the dress code is NOT enforced, Most guests seem to abide by it but a lot did not and looked very sloppy. While there was no one technically not dressed appropriately for the dinner, maybe somehow Disney could do a better job advertising the dress code. But all in all, amazing staff and food, will definitely be back!

Have eaten here twice before and rated highly. This visit though rather disappointing.
For starters I had chicken noodle soup - ok. My wife had platter of charcuterie which was a bit hit and miss.
Our steaks were delivered while we were still eating our starters. Mega poor. I asked our waitress to ensure we got fresh steaks prepared which she said she would, but I think they just went under the hot plate as both were over done.
Onion rolls were delicious.
So fed up we skipped without having pud.
I strongly agree with earlier postings on the dress code. It is not being enforced, we dressed up, but most of dining room looked like they couldn't get in at Denny's.
I have recommended the restaurant but this is based on earlier visits rather this most recent one. Maybe, just a bad night in Disney town, but for the money the kitchen crew need to be doing much better.

Surpassed our expectations. We didn't have appetizers but the onion rolls and roasted garlic were amazing. The red wine flight was lovely too. Two of us had the filet which was well-cooked (as requested), I had the rib eye served with the amazing truffle mac n cheese and my daughter had the porterhouse with a baked potato. Barely a scrap was left behind. For dessert the kids had ice-cream without the cherry topping which was fine, husband had sorbet and I had the chocolate peanut cake. This was fantastic. Well worth two credits on ddp. On a separate note we had read about the dress code and my daughter and I took advantage of the meal to dress up in nice (but not evening) dresses while my son and husband had both bought dress shorts and shirts for the occasion. Was completely over-dressed as everyone else was either in jeans or theme park attire. Disney either needs to enforce the dress code or lose it.

We were seated within 10 minutes of our ADR at a nice table for two overlooking the expansive pool area. Our server took very good care of us. Our food arrived promptly and the steaks (porterhouse and filet mignon) were cooked to the proper degree. DH and I agreed that they were fine but only good and nowhere nearly as great as those we'd had earlier in the week at Narcoosee's surprisingly. I don't recall what we had for dessert only that if we go there again next time I will ask for the paintable chocolate puzzle on the kid's menu instead! There probably will only be a "next time" if this is reduced to one dining credit. It is a nice place but in MHO just not worth two credits, at least on the night when we visited.

This was the first visit for my family and I to the Yachtsmen Steakhouse and we were pleased. The food was really good. My husband and son had the porterhouse, my daughter had the filet mignon and I had the ribeye. Each of us enjoyed our steaks, they were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I tried my daughter's filet and wish I had ordered it. The desserts were very good. The service was a little slow and it took awhile to get our food. Our waitress was very good and very attentive, even bringing everyone some fresh pear sorbet to eat while waiting on our meal. Overall we really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely eat here again.

Ordered 4 steaks and 3 were cooked very nicely. 4th one was so bad, it was ruined. Offered to replace it and then I had to eat without my family since they were done. 2nd one had no pink at all, and it was ordered medium rare. Manager came over even though I didn't ask for her and told me "that's the way we cook med rare". Then she looked at it and realized the mistake. She brought a 3rd one and cut it in front of me. It also had no pink at all, and then made an excuse for the chef as "having a bad night".

Dinner here first night of our September vacation. Short stroll from the Beach Club to the restaurant with a short wait for our ADR. Loved the decor and the service was great. Best filet we had all week - this is what a steakhouse is all about. Cheese and salad for appetizers, followed by our excellent filets. Sorbet and creme brulee for dessert. If you are on the dining plan, 2 credits but well worth it. We will be back.
