My dad and I decided to eat here for our first night and we weren't disappointed. For an appetizer, we had crawfish bites topped with Remoulade sauce. This appetizer was much, much better than expected. We couldn't get enough of it!
For the main course, I had the slow roasted prime rib while my dad had the grilled pork chop. The prime rib was superb, much better than I expected. I ate everything, which is very unusual for me since I chew slowly, allowing me to get full faster. The asparagus spears were delicious, along with the Yukon potatoes. I'm literally drooling as I write this, that's how good the meal was.
The only bad thing was the lack of waitresses/waiters. While our waitress was very nice, I felt she was over-burdened and could have used some help.
For the price, you can't beat it. It's a great meal in a great atmosphere with friendly people. Boatwright's definitely keeps it's place as one of my favourite restaurants.

We ate here 5/09/13 as a last min. sit down meal. I would have to say the service was terrible. They were not very busy and the waitress took forever to take our drink order as well as bring us our drinks. My 7 year old daughter spilled her Ice tea and no one came over to the table to help clean up. I told the waitress and all she did was bring her a new drink. The floor was soaking wet to the point where we had to put our feet up off the floor.
Our food also took a very long time to come out. I actually ordered dessert to go because everything was taking so long.
That being said me and my son had the strip steak and it was very good. the corn bread was tasty as well.

We ate here one evening during our stay at POR. The food was great. My husband had steak tips and my daughter and I shared the catfish. The other party had chicken strips for the kids and pork chops for the adults. We all enjoyed it. This was the only place that we ate that served sweet tea. Everyone in our large group appreciated that. The only negative was service. The place was not very busy at all and it was a chore getting our drinks refilled and even our check. I noticed this a lot since we had a large party and the 18% gratuity was already added to the check. If we stay here again, we will probably choose to eat here. I'm not sure we would go out of our way to do so if we stayed somewhere else.

Had dinner here on 12/26/12. Our server was friendly and very attentive although he did forget to enter an appetizer order. Next to the California Grill this was our favorite dinner of the week we had in Disney. The pork chop was cooked perfectly, the creole pasta with shrimp was very flavorful.

DH and I ate here on 12/1. I had heard that the Prime Rib here was the best on Disney property. And my Husband whole heartedly agrees, he said it was FANTASTIC. I had the BBQ shrimp appetizer and thought it was fantastic. The cornbread was also delicious.
Our server was quick and very friendly, it was a very relaxed and laid back atmosphere. I dressed up as did my Husband because we were headed to California Grill for drinks afterword, so we got a few strange looks. But I would NOT hesitate to come again!

We dined here on 11/9/12. We made advance reservations and were seated almost immediately, so not sure if they were needed. We had a very nice waitress who offered her opinions on the menu. My husband had the Grilled Pork Chop which he thought was tasty, but a little dry. Although he's not sure if it was because he asked for it Medium-Well (we weren't used to ordering a doneness of a pork chop, usually beef). My daughter and I ordered the Prime Rib, which was delicious. And my other daughter ordered the Tenderloin Medallions and Mac&Cheese, she loved both. It came with asparagus spears not listed, which I quickly stole! For dessert I ordered the Bread Pudding which was good, just not sure if I liked the rum raisin ice cream. My husband and daughter both ordered the Bananas Foster Angel Food Cake and LOVED IT. My other daughter had the Lemon Pound Cake and thought it was just "okay." We were celebrating our 25th Anniversary on this trip. Our waitress came out at one point with balloons attached to mardi-gras beads and light-up character clip-ons for my husband and me, while announcing to the restaurant that we were celebrating 25 years. Very nice touch. We all thought all-in-all this was a very relaxing restaurant with good food.

We stayed at POR and wanted to watch a football game in the lounge after dinner. Was suprised how good this was after reading other reviews. Yes the tenderloin was small. But I knew that and hubby ordered the prime rib. It was plenty for me! The bananas foster dessert was gross. IMO. The chocolate cake was ok.

While staying at Riverside we decided to give Boatwrights a try on Oct. 5 and we couldn't have been more pleased. We were seated within minutes of our ADR time. Our server, Jorge was so attentive and funny and made our dining experience so enjoyable. We all had the prime rib which was melt in your mouth delicious. We had butterscotch creme brulee and chocolate cake, which DH declared the best he'd ever had. We enjoyed this so much, we cancelled another ADR for later in the week and went back to Boatwrights! We all ordered the exact same thing and loved it just as much. Oh, I wish I were having dinner there tonight! This was our favorite meal of our entire 9 day trip.

Ate at Boatwrights on 9/17 while staying at POR, with my husband, without the kids. Wanted a break from the typical Disney restaurants. Setting did make you forget you were in Disney. Got seated right away. I had the Jambalaya which was very good, but couldn't finish it after filling up on the delicious cornbread. Took the leftover cornbread back to the room and had it for breakfast the next morning. Hubby had the beef medallions and said they were fantastic. Had the pecan pie for dessert which was good, but just your average pie. Hubby had the Angel food cake with banana foster sauce. Said it was fine, but was too full to finish. Only drawback would be the waitress. Took our order efficiently and replaced our drinks, but never saw her again until it was time to pay the bill. I find that is typical with a lot of the Disney waiters/waitresses. I guess they're very busy and don't have time to keep checking on you. Would definitely go back again though.

We have dined here on several occasions over the years. We miss breakfast here!
The menu seems smaller.
The gentleman who opened the restaurant for dinner picked my daughter to ring the bell. She was thrilled. Thanks for the memories.

My family and I ate here on July 23, 2012 for my husband's birthday. We were seated immediately as it wasn't very busy. My husband had the Grilled Tenderloin Medallions, I had the Slow Roasted Prime Rib, my oldest son old had the Grilled Porkchop, and my younger son had a Kid's complete meal (He chose Chicken Noodle Soup, Pasta with Meat Sauce and "Fruit Salad") .
Our orders were taken quickly and our food didn't take too long to come out. My husband and I liked our food, but oldest son said that the pork chop was a little dry. My youngest really enjoyed the Chicken and Noodle soup, but after that, it was nothing special. He said that the Pasta with Meat Sauce should have been called "pasta with a little bit of sauce and a ton of meat".
After we were done with our entrées, we ordered dessert. My husband and I both got a slice of pecan pie, my oldest got the Butterscotch Creme Brulee, and my youngest's fruit salad was brought to the table the same time our deserts were. At this time the staff came out with a bowl of ice cream with a candle in it, and everyone joined in singing my husband a happy birthday. The pecan pie was fantastic and we wanted another slice. My oldest son didn't really like the creme brulee, and my youngest son was not happy at all with the fruit salad. He expected bananas, strawberries, grapes, etc. in like a marshmallowy sauce, but it was far from that. It was a few grapes, a couple pieces of cantaloupe, and a couple pieces of honeydew melon in a bowl (the next morning we were in the food court and he saw the exact same thing labeled "fruit cup).
Overall, Boatwright's is not what we expected, and the prices are too much for what it was. We most likely will not be eating here again.

Booked reservations for 8 p.m. August 8. Arrived a few minutes early & were seated immediately, though just inside the seating area and right next to the hostess stand. Not such a good location -- we felt in the middle of a lot of traffic. (Next time we'll ask for a table in the back.) Our server, Jenny, was very personable, efficient & knew the menu well. The food was well prepared, although my tenderloin medallions were under-cooked (I had ordered well. Did not send it back as I was still pretty stuffed from lunch anyway...) Not sure how a crayfish beignet is supposed to taste, but it had a very sharp, unusual flavor and I did not care for it. The mac-cheese also had a very sharp tang to it. My hubby loved the Andouille Crusted Catfish -- said it was the best meal of his trip. Chocolate cake was dry & pecan pie was nothing to write home about. Coffee was delicious. All in all, we really enjoyed trying something different and the evening walk over from the French Quarter was lovely.

We (family of 5) had dinner here on 8/1/12. After almost a full day of traveling by plane and car, it was so nice to sit down and enjoy a meal together. Our server was amazing with her knowledge and opinions of the menu. My wife had the beef, daughter the shrimp pasta, son the mahi mahi... our little guy ordered the mac n cheese from the kids menu, and I had the catfish. We also ordered the crawfish appetizer. Every dish was cleaned except the mac n cheese (which turned out to be the last time he ordered it for the remainder of the trip). The decor was a little bland, but it did fit in with the resort.

We ate here on our first night, July 13th, and loved it so much that we cancelled an ADR somewhere else to eat here a second time! The waitress, Joanie, made tons of recommendations for my husband and they were all spot on and delicious. Crawfish beignets, Mahi-mahi, pecan pie, pork chop, twin medallions of beef tenderloin, the children's pizza were all fabulous! The kids got balloons and mardi gras beads for celebrating their birthdays, and hubby and I got POR daquiri glasses because we spent our honeymoon there. Followed up dinner with a visit to Yee-Haw Bob in River's Roost lounge and a horse and carriage ride!
