Pros: it's at the Poly!
Cons: you can't stay all day

We don't ever stay at the Poly - it's beyond our price range - but we do like to visit to eat when we go to DW. We love 'Ohana and this time around my daughter and I tried Kona for breakfast (and dinner).

I think it's worth a drive over just to get a look at the hotel. Breakfast was reasonably priced. I ordered the Big Kahuna and loved it.

Price is reasonable, location is loud but right in the middle of everything at the Poly, service was good. I would definitely return.

Pros: TONGA Toast, Macadamia pancakes, atmosphere, location
Cons:

Yes, it's that good. The DW was so excited to try the Tonga Toast and is still talking about it. It's banana stuffed sourdough bread, rolled in cinnamon sugar and served with Strawberry Compote, and it's HUGE!!! My Macadamia pineapple pancakes were almost as good, and very filling also. The coffee is a really good way to start the day. The atmosphere is really cool since you're still almost in the atrium of the resort. The seating is really cool too. You can hop off the monorail so it's easy to get to. Will definitely go back many times next time.

Pros: Great Service!
Cons: pacing of the meal was fast.

I had the opportunity to eat at Kona for the first time during my March 2013 trip. I had a late breakfast at 10am. The restaurant was not crowded. Since it was my first time here, I had to have the Tonga Toast with bacon & Press Pot coffee.

My server Eric was so nice! He took my order and went to prepare my Press pot of coffee. I was a little disappointed when my breakfast was delivered only 2 mins later by another server, and I hadn't even gotten my coffee yet. It was as if they had the food already made & ready to deliver to a customer...it was that fast.

My server was a bit upset about it when he delivered my Press pot of coffee. He apologized even though it wasn't his fault.

Nevertheless, the food was very good as was the coffee. If you are a coffee lover, definitely get the Press Pot of Kona coffee. You won't be disappointed.

The tonga toast came with a strawberry compote (tasted exactly like the 1900 park fare strawberry soup) and regular syrup. It was a big portion and I couldn't finish it all, but it was really good.

My server Eric was a great server, and made my breakfast enjoyable.

Pros: Great food and service
Cons: None

We had a wonderful breakfast on our last day at the Polynesian! We had the wasabi mary's, french press coffee, Samoan and steak and eggs. The Samoan was outstanding, my husband said his steak was a little tough, we ended up sharing my Samoan! Would definitely eat here again!

Pros: The food! And real coffee!
Cons: Dining room lacking in ambiance somewhat

I'm not a fan of sweet breakfast food, but my dining companions were and loved the tonga toast. I had the pulled pork hash with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce, and it was my favorite dish of our trip!
Service was fine--you can tell they crank people through, but we appreciated being able to get a last minute reservation.
We'll be back.

Pros: Food, service, decor
Cons: No negatives

Daughter had the Tonga Toast and I had the macadamia nut pancakes. I could eat this every day. Food was hot and fresh and loaded with flavor. Best breakfast in Disney World!

Pros: food, service, juice, coffee
Cons: none

Had breakfast here with a group of friends and we all enjoyed it. While I know the Tonga Toast and pancakes are a big hit, I think the real gem is The Somoan. Hubby and nephew got this while I got the usual Tonga Toast. I enjoyed mine immensely but the bite of hubby's meal was awesome. Hubby thought about that meal for the rest of our trip. In fact, we tried to get another ressie while we were still there but couldn't get in and we didn't want to chance going without one. Service was great. Waiter was very fast, attentive and quirky enough to make us all laugh. Going back in January and this will be our last meal before heading to the airport. Can't wait.

Pros: food, staff, coffee
Cons:

The breakfast food is awesome here! My wife had the Tonga toast. She loved it and I had the Big Kahuna. I was definitely full afterwards. It was nice to have real coffee too! After we ate we jumped on the monorail to MK in time for the opening ceremony.

The place was not even half full, so I don't know if they hold back a lot of tables for walk ins or what. The people that did walk up without reservations were seated immediately. We will eat here again for breakfast.

Pros: Everything
Cons: Nothing

We always have at least one breakfast at Kona Cafe during our visits. This time was on 10-5 and as always, it was wonderful. We had a new server and she was very attentive. The 3 of us ordered Tonga Toast, the Big Kahuna, and lots of coffee (the best). Kona is definitely not to be missed!

Pros: Food, service

You really can't go wrong with breakfast at Kona. We love having a meal here, even if we aren't staying at the Poly...server Anne was wonderful and kept our coffee cups full!

Pros: Tonga Toast!!
Cons: a little pricey

Bff and I ate breakfast here on 10/5. We didn't use our DDP and for each of us it was about what we figured. Except the juice was $4 and it's a small glass with no refills. The side orders were also a little more than $4 and you didn't get much. But, the Tonga Toast was well worth it. It was by far one of the most sinfully delicious breakfasts I've ever had. And I don't even like french toast! Will definetely be going back. But don't waste a dining point. Save an extra $20 per person and pay out of pocket.

Pros: Great Food. Great atmosphere.
Cons: None.

One of the best places to get breakfast at WDW. We stayed at Bay Lake, but hopped on a monorail to get breakfast at Kona. Great coffee (best on property) and wonderful selections for breakfast. The kids portions are huge as well. Also, the the biggest perk, my family of 4 had a full breakfast with coffee and juice for $35. That's cheaper then one of our local breakfast cafe's at home and the food was top notch. Another perk, my wife has food allergies, so the chef came out to our table and was so awesome. He told us he had a whole team of chefs in the back just waiting to create something different or special for someone. They made a custom breakfast for her that she could barely finish due to how much food they gave her and charged us $7. So the best part needless to say is the value. Book a reservation or show up around 10 a.m. for a walk in.
