Pros: Food/service
Cons: NONE

Just got back from a wonderful weekend getaway that included dinner here and I must say it was everything I expected and more. Food and service was inpeccable. I have read where others said price was a lil high but where else can you have a wonderful "Adults" only dinner with service to every detail as this? Worth every penny and will go back in a heartbeat, In fact made resverations for January.

Pros: Best food ever!
Cons: Cost

After reading all the reviews we decided to give V&A a try for my 60th birthday celebration. All of us agree that it was the best dining experience we have ever had! I really isn't helpful to list the various foods we ate because it just won't describe the amazing flavors of the micro herbs and sauces which adorn each item giving them the extra boost of flavor that keeps your palate awake through all of the courses. And then there are the wines, each perfect. I didn't care for ale which came with one of my choices and they happily substituted wine. The staff was amazing and we will definitely include V&A in our future celebrations.

Pros: food, service, atmosphere
Cons:

Husband and I ate here on the first night of our honeymoon. The service was perfect for us. Freindly and attentive but left us to spend time talking to each other and enjoy ourselves. The food was outstanding. A wonderful adult experience.

Pros: service, menu, food, service
Cons: $$$$

OUTSTANDING!!!!!!

Highly personalized service and attention to detail. We were immediately greeted and seated in the main dining area of about 12 tables. We chose the optional wine paring and Wagyu beef upgrade.

Not allowing children made this a truly relaxing dining experience of almost 3 hours.

This is in no way an inexpensive indulgence. Tab for two including wine and menu upgrades with gratuity was almost $600. If you're celebrating a special occasion, this would be the place.

Pros: incredible food and atmosphere
Cons: nothing about this is negative

Absolutely one of the most amazing, incredible, delicious and delightful dinners I have ever had. The wine pairings were fantastic....the desserts....indescribable. Worth the price...will be back!

Pros: Food, Service, Atmosphere, EVERYTHING!
Cons: Absolutely nothing.

As a big treat for myself, I went to Victoria and Albert's on 4/29/09. I was by myself, so I was seated near the harpist so that I could enjoy the music. Service was gracious, attentive, and perfect. Anything I wanted was there before I could ask. Even though this is a formal restaurant, the staff was very friendly and put me completely at ease. The food was absolutely phenomenal! I would gladly pay $250 for dinner there again. I simply cannot say enough to praise them.

Pros: Atmosphere, food,service
Cons: none

We visited Victoria and Alberts for my birthday at the end of March. This was our second visit to the restaurant and was even more spectacular than the first visit 3 years ago.

A week before the date of our visit someone called me from the restaurant to determine if we had any food allergies or diet needs. As neither of us eat beef due to religious reasons, the menu was prepared with this in mind.

We were also reminded of the dress code. The first time I visited, I felt overdressed as people were not in evening wear although ladies did have skirts and tops but this time I wore a nice dress and my husband wore jacket and shirt with collar and it appeared that everyone was in similar attire, so maybe they have tightened up on the dress code.

The food and service were second to none and despite the price rise since our last visit, it was worth every cent for that special evening.
I felt like a princess and the long stem red rose I was presented with is still alive 2 weeks later, and the small cake I was given as a birthday treat to take away was delicious, baked in house and full of juicy fruit and delicate spices.

Pros: Most amazing meal
Cons:

I would give 11 stars if I could. This was, by far, the best meal that I've ever had in my life.

The atmosphere, service and food all work together in harmony to weave the tapestry of a perfect evening.

By far my best experience dining at Disney, and it was probably the most amazing meal that I've ever had.

If I could afford to I'd go here every trip, but since I can't, I'll just look forward to next time.

Pros: EVERY SINGLE THING!!!
Cons: NOTHING AT ALL!!!

On a scale of 1-10, I would give this experience a "to infinity and beyond"!!!! We went there on 9-16-08 for my friend's birthday and it was well worth it!!

Our servers, Jack and Sherry, were absolutely wonderful. Words can not describe how we were treated. From beginning to end it was great. They welcomed us, made sure we were comfortable and then the experience began!!

They let us look over the menus and described in DETAIL everything that was on it and what we would be choosing from. If we had any questions at all, they answered them very well. The menu (that we would receive at the end of the meal) was personalized with our names and even had "happy birthday" on my friend's!! We ordered something from each course and they wrote nothing down!!

Everything was brought out in perfect timing, and again-described to us in detail, sometime putting their own little touches on the details :-).
When the courses were brought out, they were beyond words!!!! We would just sit and chew with our eyes closed sometimes-just taking in all the spices and flavors of each course. The presentation was awesome as well.

Jack and Sherry were a great team (found out they were married) :-) and worked like clock work together. They had 3 other tables in the room besides ours, but we never felt neglected at all!!! They were never rushed, took their time and let us do the same in between courses. We ordered the hot tea afterwords since neither of us are coffee drinkers and it was very nice. The harpist that was playing in the other room was wonderful as well. We even saw a couple in their wedding clothes-they were a beautiful couple.

After all was said and done, that is when they brought out my friend's birthday mini-castle cake that I had ordered as a surprise!! They brought it out on a silver tray, again presentation!! Much to our dismay-we were actually full, but they said no problem and boxed the cake up for us to take back to the resort, that is when we were presented with our menus to take with us and a long stem red rose. Our reservation was at 6:15 and we left there at 9:30, felling full, happy and spoiled :-).

We did have our pics made with them, I will forever remember this experience. I have NEVER been treated that well before in my life!!
Like the other poster said, from beginning to end, everyone treated us wonderfully. Yes, the price is A LOT-but so well worth it!! This place and it's people deserve all the praise in the world!!!

Pros: service, food, atmosphere
Cons: nothing

On the 8th August my fiancé and I dined at Victoria & Albert's. From start to finish, this was the best dining experience of my entire life.
The service was outstanding, with our waiter being not only charming but funny and more than happy to explain the menu. Being plebs from the north of England we needed a little help!
I sampled the wine pairing and ended up more than a little tipsy with each course being served with a full glass of wine.

In between the coffee and dessert, out waiter appeared with a silver platter explaining our desserts were a little delayed and the chef had sent us a special treat. Upon removing the lid, the waiter revealed two huge red roses with a diamond ring inside one, and my fiancé got down on one knee. It was the most amazing experience of my life and every member of staff from the hostess to the sommelier seemed genuinely happy for us and made the night extra special.

I would recommend that you definitely visit V&A's when celebrating any special occasion. The food and the staff make the meal definitely worth the price!

Pros: Sensitivity of the servers, food, ambience
Cons:

We did not go for a romantic dinner. We were there (we being a mom and 3 teenage girls) to celebrate a 16th birthday. The servers both realized that we were a table in need of a little relaxation and 'joked' and enjoyed our fun as was appropriate. Not in a way that would have intruded on our fellow diners, but in a way that allowed us to enjoy our meal, as a previous poster noted. Additionally, our server Sal immediately noted my lack of wine 'savvy'. He poured the champagne for the amuse bouche and waited for me to swirl, smell, taste....whatever you wine folk do. After I drank it and said 'delicious' he must have realized I was not a connoisseur. He simply filled my glass for subsequent courses.

It was an amazing meal. The food exceeded my expectations and even the girls loved everything they tried. (They did get adventurous) It was as long as we could take, but they were 16 and ready to go back to the MK for EMH Smile.

It was worth every penny and we all agreed that although we wouldn't like to dine as such every night it was an experience we would never forget.

Pros: Magnificent dining event
Cons: Pricey - but worth it

Dinner for 2 with wine pairing will run about $500 total, which is a lot of money for us. And yes, the portions are small, may 2-5 bites per course... BUT! Each and every bite is a delight.
The atmosphere is quiet elegance, no kids under 10 allowed. Most men wore a tie and all women were gorgeous, of course.
Staff are very knowledgeable about the food and wine, and are very welcoming. I believe they match their "warmth" to that of their diners. if you are chatty and friendly, they are as well. If you long to gaze lovingly into your dining partner's eyes, they will as well. No. Just kidding. They will be very reserved and unobtrusive.
Everything was bursting with flavor, each bite to be savored.
Our waitress did reverse our orders and the accompanying wine. When I pointed out the error, the plates were graciously reversed, but not the perfectly paired wines. I didn't notice (I was gazing lovingly into my wife's eyes, of course) until I follwed a delicate bite of shrimp with an earthy Pinot Noir. Ouch. Duh. Had I mentioned it to Israel, I've no doubt the bill would have been adjusted a little
Otherwise, I would have rated the service a 10.

Pros: Nice night out
Cons: Highly overated

Had the opportunity to dine at V&A. Setting, attention to detail and professionalism of waitstaff, second to none. I found the hype of the dishes to be greater than the taste. We felt obligated to commend the Chef for his small portions. Dessert and coffee was the only real high point of a very expensive evening. I have been to some weddings where the bride and groom didn't pay what I paid for a meal that I left hungry from.

Pros: Beautiful room, great food and service
Cons:

I gave this dinner a 9 because while it was very very good, they did miss with one of my dishes when they brought me a cheese rind instead of stilton. That shouldn't have happened. The wine pairings were outstanding, though and the rest of the meal was sublime. They originally seated us behind a pillar and we asked to be moved...which they did thankfully. Nobody needs to sit behind a pillar at those prices. Ask for tour of the kitchen. They love to show it off.

Pros: Food, service, atmosphere, experience
Cons: NONE

This is a dining experience!! It takes about 3 hours and it is awesome. I have now done the restaurant and the Chef's Table. The food was phenonmenal in every aspect as is the service. You are treated like royalty. It can be a bit intimidating at first if you're not used to this type of service...but try it anyway! We were seated immediately of course and the food and wine is served VERY timely. The wine pairings are a MUST DO for people who even remotely LIKE wine....they are PERFECT with every dish but BE CAREFUL...all that wine sneaks up on ya! If you want to do the Chef's Table, I suggest it on a second visit to V&A...try the restaurant side first as it is the FULL experience. I think you miss out on the elegance at the Chef's Table.
