Pros: Location, Service, Food
Cons: None

My husband and I ate here for the second time on April 9th. We were about a half hour early for our 7:10 reservation, and were seated immediately.

We each started with a glass of sangria, and it was cool and refreshing. For an appetizer, we shared the crab cakes, which were some of the best we have ever had.

My husband had the filet and risotto as his main course, and I had the lobster tail with green beans and mashed potatoes. Both entrees came out hot and were very tasteful.

This restaurant is one of the best on Disney property, and I highly recommend it!

Pros: Quality, location
Cons: service, price

Located at the GF on the lagoon, the boat from MK drops you off right here. There is a great outdoor porch to see the MK and Lagoon at night.
The rest of this review is based on the fact that it is a 2 dinner charge on the dining plan. Also, the prices on the menu are steep. We only had to wait a couple of minutes before being seated which was great. But then we sat even longer before someone stopped at our table, despite the attention to all the tables around us. A manager came by to take our drink order as if she knew we were waiting. Then our server, oh boy. She was from the South, based on accent and name tag. Her service was something expected at a diner. We had the calamari app, which was good. The scampi entree was very filling due to the sauce. It was good. The DW had scallops that were good. Nothing above Red Lobster quality tho.
Desserts WERE AWESOME!! My creme brulee was delicious and the wife's cheesecake.... UNBELIEVABLE!!!! The best cheesecake and dessert at WDW!!!!
Sadly, though, I would not go back or recommend based on service and overall menu. I would be livid if not on dining plan. It just is not worth it at all. Plus there were kids running around, on I-pads, screaming and yelling. NOT ACCEPTABLE at a place like this.

Pros:
Cons:

We had our first dining experience here on January 19th, and it was perfect! The service was impeccable, and our meals were the best we have had at any Disney restaurant. We will definitely be returning on our next WDW vacation!

Pros: Excellent Food, Service, and Atmosphere
Cons: None

Every time we come to DW our first dining reservation made is at Narcossee's. My sister and I had dining here on November 25. We arrived 20 minutes early and was seated immediately. Our waiter was very pleasant and knowledgeable with the food and wine pairing. As always the food was excellent, and we even enjoyed the view of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom. Definitely will come again!

Pros: Beautiful setting
Cons: Food and service

Went here for our big night. It was beautiful and evening started well. Asked waitress to please make sure my steak was medium to well done. I made sure she knew this was important to me. I said alittle pink was fine but more towards well. She assured me that this was no problem. Well when food came I had blood running into my potatoes. I cut the steak and it was more towards rare and medium. Waitress was nowhere to be found. She finally came back after my husband was done and I picked through my lobster tail. She offered to take it back but by that time I just wanted to leave. He was done eating and we was sitting there for about 15 min waiting for her to come back. Manager came to our table and my husband asked her if she would have ate the steak like that and she said no. She credited my meal and we left. As beautiful as it is there, I won't be back.

Pros: It was all positive!
Cons: none

Without a doubt this is the best meal I have experienced in thirty trips to WDW over the last 32 years! As my DH said it is one of the best meals we have eaten anywhere in the real world as well! The restaurant has beautiful views over the water looking at the Contemporary and monorail, Space Mt. and Cinderella's Castle. As dusk progressed to full dark, it was just lovely to behold. The walk to and from this separate building at GF was also pleasant on the evening we visited. From the time we checked in about 15 minutes before our ADR we were greeted warmly and well treated by all we encountered. We were seated before the appointed time. Our waiter was knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed talking with him so much about the area in Disney's early days in FL and his recommendations were excellent. DH had the filet mignon and I had the surf & turf. The lobster was sweet and succulent and the filet tender and flavorful. I also enjoyed a very nice glass of moscato. We loved the sourdough bread with sea salted butter. Both DH and I thought the almond encrusted cheesecake with black cherries and vanilla bean infused whipped cream was by far the best cheesecake we've ever eaten. I'm planning to try to replicate it for Christmas dinner as a matter of fact! Perhaps the best compliment I can offer is that this is the only restaurant we full is worthy of two dining credits. We will definitely return. Thanks Narcoosee's for a great dining experience!

Pros: Food, Service & View
Cons: Way too long a wait for the table with an ADR, rude hostess

We had a 7:00pm reservation at Narcoossee's on a Sunday night. While the restaurant didn't seem to be overcrowded, we waited an hour for our table. I have a 5 year old, who was hungry and got antsy waiting for so long. I complained to the hostess, who was rude and informed me that "most of our patrons are extending their dining for the evening to catch the fireworks and water parade". Well guess what..........not my problem, get them up and get them out. I got a hold of the manager, told him we were guests at the hotel and how displeased we were with the service - he promptly seated us at a beautiful window table so my daughter would have a view of the MK. I made sure I told him that "we will also be extending our dining to watch the fireworks and water parade".

From there on the experience was wonderful. Our waitress was the greatest. She brought my daughter paper and crayons to make pictures with. She brought her fresh grapes and apple slices, which weren't even on the menu but I asked if they had them. She accommodated every request. I had the filet, my daughter had chicken fingers and my parents both had fish dishes. We ordered calamari & ceasar salad for appetizers. Everything was very good. We weren't on the dining plan and because of our experience waiting for our table, the manager comped us dessert.

I ended up taking my daughter outside on the veranda to see the fireworks and the water parade. She loved it - and the view is one of the nicest.

If it wasn't for the fact that the wait was ridiculous and completely out of line, I would have given Narcoossee's a higher rating. The hostess was quite rude & non accommodating to all the guests waiting for tables. And to allow someone to occupy a table for close to 3 hours so they can see the fireworks is completely absurd. If we hadn't complained to the manager who knows how long we would have waited for a table.

Pros: Great views of Magic Kingdom fireworks
Cons: No sound tonight for Wishes!

Ate here on Oct 3, 2012 and were using the Disney Dining Plan. Able to get a reservation for the fireworks timeframe, so by the time we were finishing dinner it was time for Wishes. Usually they pipe in the music during the fireworks but tonight they had technical difficulties. Unfortunately, Wishes was not the same without the music, so that was a bummer. The meal was excellent, surf and turf. They gave us special anniversary menus and also each of us received a glass of champage with a strawberry! Nice touch. Wonderful evening to celebrate our anniversary!

Pros: Food, atmosphere, view
Cons: Noisy, price

First time dining here in October. There was a terrible rain storm and we did not make our reservation time, when I called the restaurant they were very nice and said it was no problem and they would hold our table for us. When we arrived at the Grand Floridian it was still raining, since the restaurant is in a separate building we were taken by golf cart so we would not get wet. We ordered the filet and lobster tail and scallops. While the filet was quite large and the lobster tail was perfect, the steak was not cooked to the requested medium. As usual, the steak was cooked only to medium rare as most chefs feel that everyone should eat their steak like this (Le Cellier cooks steaks exactly as requested, every time). The scallops were delicious, cooked to perfection with a very good sauce. Dessert was quite good, we had the pecan tart and cheese plate. While this restaurant was very good, not sure that we will give up two sit down dinners on the Disney Dining Plan to return here.
P.S. The mint julepe here is most delicious!

Pros:
Cons:

Ate here on the last night of our September vacation, our 3rd visit to this restaurant. Dining on the deluxe plan, we arrived a little early for our ADR but had a pleasant wait outside until our table was ready. Great food and service as usual. Filet and lobster was very good. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, and had a great table looking over the water towards the castle. The meal was well paced - dessert arrived right at 9:00 when the lights dimmed for the fireworks at the MK. What a great way to end our evening meal!

Pros: Service, food and setting
Cons: Noise levels

We decided to go to Narccossees over Citricos (which we did last year). We had a 7:30 reservation and was seated with in 10 minutes. The service was perfect and we wasn't rushed at all, we both had the fillet mignon which was cooked to perfection. Only slight negative was the noise levels but that is just a small negative. On another note if you time your booking right you get to watch the fireworks on the balcony between your settings.

Yum! I am still dreaming about the filet and lobster. Not to mention the almond crusted cheesecake. Beautiful restaurant on the water, with a great view of Wishes. I will be back!

Pros: Service and the food
Cons: Nothing

This by far was the best meal we ate at Disney this year. My wife and daughter and I all ordered the filet and lobster tails. I am a very picky steak eater I lobe mine medium rare on the inside but chared on the outside. The steak was perfect.
The almond cheesecake is the best dessert in Disney. I highly recomend it.
Jason our server was great. We are ready to go back next year.

Pros: attention to detail, view, food
Cons: menu change, prices

Having been here on earlier visits, we chose this restaurant for our anniversary dinner during last week's visit. They did their best to spoil us rotten. Our meal began with champagne, compliments of Mickey. we were given souvenir menus personalized with our names and anniversary congratulations. Our desserts came with white chocolate 'cards' that read "Happy Anniversary from Narcoosee."

The food was expensive, but worth the price. We were disappointed with some of the recent menu changes, however. The salad I had dreamed of having again was gone, for example, but that may be because it was seasonal. Still, we missed the lobster spring rolls, the gnocchi, the crab-crusted mahi mahi, and the scallops.

At least the sublime bread is still there, and the butter with big crystals of sea salt. Yum. Our server visited with her handy little crumb sweeper several times during the meal, because the fresh crusty bread results in crumbs on the table no matter how careful we are.

DH and I agreed that most of the dishes were just a tad too 'busy.' Like the old fashion dictum to get dressed and then remove one item before walking out the door, the chef would have improved some dishes by removing at least one ingredient. Example-- I had the black bean soup. It was yummy. BUT it was studded with both crunchy kernels of corn and a big lump of lobster, as well as a sprinkling of micro cilantro. There was a ring of lime creme fraiche and another ring of paprika oil. Too many different elements-- creme fraiche OR paprika oil, maybe, but not both, and the lobster, while it worked with the bean soup in terms of taste, was too big a bite to eat all at once and too difficult to cut to eat in smaller bites. Simple is sometimes better-- DH had the oyster appetizers and loved the simplicity of huge raw top-quality oysters with simple sauces on the side.

I had the filet mignon, which was tender and perfectly cooked. But again, there was too much going on, by a hair. Instead of just presenting the sumptuous piece of meat on a bed of risotto with a nice wine reduction sauce, the risotto was gruyere cheese and red onion risotto, and the wine reduction competed with foraged mushrooms and white truffle oil. Again, editing would improve the dish.

DH had the halibut, which he said was cooked just right. It was a nice-sized piece of fish, but again had just too many things competing for his tastebuds' attention. The halibut rested on arugula, shitake mushrooms, corn puree, and tomato vinaigrette. Then there were potatoes and spring vegetables as well as charred ramps on the plate. Did the corn puree really need to share space with arugula and mushrooms?

Dessert was marvelous. I had the pecan tart and DH had the cheesecake. Great way to end our special day.
