Pros: location
Cons: service

We went to Citricos on Dec 3rd . Reservations for 6 people were 8 PM . We were prompt. We did not get seated till 8:15PM.We waited at least 30 min between courses. We ordered two appetizers but only received one. The cheese platter appetizer for $14 included 4 pieces of cheese & 4 tasteless crackers. When our desert order came at 11:15 we ordered the check immediately. I was aggravated that we were required to pay the 18% gratuity for the poor service received. It took us 3 1/2 hrs for dinner. Totally ruined our evening as we were planing to go to downtown disney after. The kicker is the restaurant was not crowded.

Pros: Everything

This was our first visit to Citricos... And it is now our favorite table service on property. Service was outstanding... and all of the food from appetizers to dessert were A+.

Pros: Food, service
Cons: None

Amazingly attentive - but not overly so - service in a pleasant atmosphere. Food was wonderful (fish was a little overlooked but vegetarian dish was perfect). Dealing with allergies was a breeze and the chef was great at explaining just what I could and couldn't have and what they could make for me. A magical night! We'll be back for sure.

Pros: food, service
Cons: nothing

We ate here 11/11. I can't say enough good things about the food or the service. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Started with the tapas plate. Yummy! Husband had the short ribs. Not a speck of fat or bone visible. Simply melted in your mouth. I had the veal shank which was perfectly cooked. The vegetables were delicious and almost stole the show. Shared the banana tart for dessert. That chocolate tiara was a dessert by itself! Were seated near the open kitchen and had a blast watching the pros at work. Worth the money and we will be back.

Pros: Food/Server
Cons: Noise with large tables of folks all around us

Wife and I ate here late on Oct 29 and besides the fact of a event going on-I think it would have been much more quieter. For starters we both shared the Rock shrimp and the Blue Crab Salad-both excellent and I had the Grouper and my wife had Swordfish both cooked perfect and awesome. Service was excellent and will return in a heartbeat.

Pros: Food, Service, Ambiance
Cons: None

This was my first experience at Citricos, and my husband and I were very impressed. We were celebrating our anniversary, so the hostess presented us with special buttons upon check in. We then enjoyed a few delightful minutes at the bar before being seated. I was not happy with our table, since it was a little small. The server immediately moved us to a bigger table without question. Our server then presented us each with a special souvenir menu with our names on top and pictures of Mickey and Minnie in the corners. At the beginning of the meal, a photographer took a picture of us, and she brought us the picture before the end of our meal as a special souvenir and reminder of our meal. My husband and I were on the Deluxe Dining Plan, but opted to add an additional course as well as wine pairings. We ended up not being charged for the extra course, which was a nice surprise. It was all well worth it. The food and service could not have been better, and we will definitely be back!

Pros: Wonderful atmosphere
Cons: Filet overcooked

Dined here on 10/1/2011. DH and I split Sauteed Shrimp for appetizer, which was excellent. DH and my mother had grouper, which they thoroughly enjoyed. I had the filet, which was good, but was overcooked. My father had the pork and he enjoyed it.

Atmosphere is wonderful. One of my favorite places to dine at WDW.

Pros: food quality, presentation
Cons: noisy

This was our grown-up meal on the trip while the kids hung out w/ the grans. Well worth the two credits. The appetizers (blue crab pave' & tapas) were generous and could have been an entree' themselves. Our entrees (snapper w/ scallops & Berkshire Pork 2 ways) were well preportioned and flavorful. Dessert (gelato trio & berries w/ sabonyon) were delilightful. The Wildberry Margherita hit the spot for a mom who need to just chill out.

Pros: Bread
Cons: Price

I would sum my experience in one word - underwhelmed.

I was traveling with my partner and our parents. We booked this spot to celebrate our commitment ceremony anniversary and to have a "special" dinner here. When I made the reservation I added the note that we were celebrating our anniversay - it was also mentioned to sever - and it went completely unnoticed. I'm not saying I needed anything special or free - but acknowledgement would have been nice.

Moving on to the actual meal. It was ok. And I really wish I could say more because I was very much looking forward to this meal. The breads with the citrus butter were absolutely fabulous. The entrees - were OK. I had the braised veal shank. My partner had the berkshire pork two ways. My whole plate could have used a generous heap of salt. The best thing on his plate was - ironically - the swiss chard.

Our bill at the end of the day came to about $160 (two entrees, desert and two glasses of wine). We were on the Dining Plan - however, had I actually had to pay for the meal, I would have been extremely upset at the price vs. quality and taste of food. I have eaten at many 4 star establishments and this one just didn't cut it. I'm still upset that we wasted two dining credits here - but live an learn. Next time we would go to California Grill or Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Pros: Quality of Food / Service
Cons: None

We visited on Sept 14th and by far, it was the best dining experience of our vacation. The Chef came to the table to address my wife's gluten allergy. He was extremely helpful and personable. Had appetizers - Blue Crab Pave & Heirloom tomatoes. You can tell the mozzarella was freshly made (the real stuff that I used to get in NY) I had the Veal Shank and my wife had the King Salmon with the langoustine. The meal was perfectly paced and all of the food was amazing. I would put this a slight notch ahead of Cali Grill and Flying Fish Cafe. My 7 yr old son loved his gourmet PBJ. Can't wait to do this again. Clearly worth the two table service meals on the DDP.

Pros: Service, Food, Atmostphere
Cons: none

We Dined here on 9/17/2011. This was the first meal of our trip, and One of my all time favorites. We checked in early and were seated within just a couple of minutes of checking in. There were just two of us, and we were on the Deluxe Dining Plan. After travelling all day, both of us were in Jeans, and a nice shirt. We were seated at a table with a GREAT view of the open Kitchen and I just loved it, both My Friend and I are foodies, and it was so fun to be able to watch the chefs prepare our food.
Our waitress was great, good fun, relaxed and VERY good at her job. The Chef Sent out an Amuse-Bouche, a bite of Fantastic aged goat cheese on a fresh salsa, with balsamic vinegar drizzle. AMAZING!!! I don't like tomatoes -and I loved the salsa!
For our Appetizers, DF(Disney Friend) ordered the Sauteed Shrimp with lemon, White wine, tomatoes and Feta. I ordered the Arancini. Both were wonderful - The shrimp turned out to be one of our favorite dishes of the WEEK!
Entrees were hard to choose! We finally went with the Fillet of Beef - for DF, and The Berkshire Pork Two ways, for me. Again, both were great! The portion sizes were perfect for my friend and I - in fact maybe a bit large. We really had more food than we could eat!
For Dessert I chose the Warm Chocolate Banana Tart - It was delish - and the Chocolate Crown was Gorgeous!! DF had the Tres Leches- and it was equally amazing!
Our service and meal were so lovely, this really was one of our favorite meals, and well worth the two dining credits. I will be going back!

Pros: Food Quality
Cons: Small portion size, very pricey, expected more

The food quality is good but nothing really stood out or "wowed" us. The portions are small and the price was extremely high for what we got (maybe because of the location inside the Grand Floridian?). Our meal for 2 people came to just over $126.00 BEFORE TIP. All we had was 1 glass of Sangria each (OK but not enough fruit). I had the heirloom tomato & mozzarella appetizer which was good not great. There were not enough tomatoes for price and they were nothing special, though the freshly made mozzarella was very good. For my entree I had the grouper fish. I was surprised how tiny the serving was, I was like seriously? It was OK, nothing remarkable, like any other piece of white fish I could have gotten elsewhere for less. It came with 3 good sized scallops which were the highlight of the entree and 2 super tiny shrimp mixed into the lentils it was served on top of. Overall the dish was good but unremarkable for the price and I was still hungry because the portion size was so small. The fish portion was so small, it should have been twice the size it was. The other in the party had a sauteed shrimp appetizer which was good and ordered the pricey beef filet which they were a bit disappointed with as it was pretty good but not the "wow" they had been hoping for based on the price as we have had better filets for much less at other places. If you are on the dining plan, I would not use 2 points per person here. If you really want to eat at a nice 2 point Disney restaurant, I would highly suggest either Jiko or Yachtsmen over Citricos. In summary as mentioned the food is good but for the high price we expected much much more so cannot recommend for most people. We saw guests in jeans and/or t-shirts as well, not what we expected for fine dining at the Grand Floridian. I know this is fine dining so expected the high prices, however, I would recommend management to increase portion size a bit, improve the "wow" factor of the food, and not allow t-shirts, jeans, or shorts in the dining area to improve on the dining experience for guests.

Pros: Service, Food
Cons: n/a

I was a bit worried about choosing this restaurant for our no-kids outing during our August Disney trip. It was an unknown quantity, but we wanted to try something new. It ended up being one of the best places we have been to and totally on par with the California Grill. We were seated near the open kitchen and appreciated watching the action and chatting with the chef. Our server was excellent, the breads were incredible (my husband tried to talk me into slipping the extra pieces in my handbag - no joke). The arancini is the best I've ever had. I had the roast chicken breast and my husband had the grouper. They were both prepared perfectly. The warm banana torte was good, but the dark chocolate art that came with it was better than the torte itself. And if you don't care for bananas, not to worry - this torte is way more chocolate than banana. It was a great night out and well worth the price. It's upscale, but not stuffy. And I appreciated the dress code. It fits the location. There are oodles of places in the park for t-shirts and fanny packs.

Pros: choices
Cons: dress code

Server was wonderful. Food wasn't as good as before, but still good. I don't think I would go back. It can get a bit noisy in the restaurant.

Pros: Good preparation, service
Cons: Inconsistentcy in preparation

Returned from Citricos last week. Have been to Narcoosees, California Grill and finally Citricos, and that is how I would rank them. Service was good in general, food in general was well prepared, but service was inattentive to our input that portions was not to our liking. Dessert was good but not great. I would rate the overall meal and experience as good, but not great- which the price should demand.
