Pros: Rose Petal is very good!
Cons: food was terrible, expensive

This event I wanted to do for my daughter, she loves tea parties and she loves Sleeping Beauty. She is 8 years old. . . and was one of the oldest ones there. I saw some girls who looked younger than the three year old requirement there who really didn't know what was going on and IMO really didn't enjoy it. Rose Petal was pro. The staff was nice, but I was not offered honey, sugar or anything with my tea. The bread on all the sandwiches on our plates was stale, it had sat out for some time. . .the sesame crisps were not crisp at all. The green marbled cheese was good. I can't believe they don't offer the adults at least one of the three sandwiches without mayonnaise. chicken salad, egg salad, and shrimp salad. The bracelet is cheap, and is merely silver colored, not silver as implied in the description. Rose Petal did a great job though, the setting is lovely, but they should have someone walking beside these girls to keep people back during their little lobby walk. . two old sourpuss women made some nasty comment about 'this being where people dump off their kids when they are tired of them' as they cut right in front of my daughter during their lobby walk. My daughter loved it, but she won't get to do it again, it's very overpriced for what you get. But then, most of the stuff at Disney is. So mixed feelings about this event. Glad I took her, but could be done better for nearly three hundred dollars for a mom/daughter.

Pros: great memories for our daughter
Cons: food

My wife took our three year old daughter to the Tea Party on Jan 19. Both were looking forward to this.

My wife said The Tea Party did not disappoint. Yes, it might be a bit long for a three year old, but the staff did an amazing job of keep everyone's attention.

The food isn't for everyone's tastes, but it was elegant. The girls were treated like royalty and our daughter is still talking about it. If you can afford it and are into this sort of thing, totally worth it.

Pros: Character Interaction, lovely atmosphere
Cons: needs child sized flatware, adult dress code

This was a magical experience for us on 12/12/10. My little princess smiled the entire time! Especially when she discovered her hidden princess friendship bracelet! And she says she "looooved" it when she got her doll and rose. This doll they get fits in with American Girl things too! It was exciting from the moment we arrived. Rose Petal was lovely, and her voice was magnificent as she sang the stories, and the Barron was exceptional too. My daughter still is talking about when he stopped by our table to visit! Princess Aurora was very nice, somewhat timid (especially compared to Rose Petal), but regal nonetheless. She sat with us for a long time chatting. The personal attention and interaction was, without a doubt, well above any other princess themed event. We enjoyed the tea party food that was served; turkey & cheese, and also jam sandwiches along side of a beautiful fresh fruit medley for my daughter, was on an adorable princess plate which complimented her tiny tea pot and cup and saucer. My plate was enormous, and filled with three different types of crustless sandwiches, my own fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, and my own pot of tea. My suggestion would be for child sized flatware. The cake with strawberry sauce they served was delicious, but girls were fumbling with the heavy, adult sized silverware trying to eat. It would also be nice to see a dress code listed for adults.
Let me add, and I stress, this event is for mature little ladies only. They have to sit, listen, and perform during this 90 minute event. Personally I would not suggest any younger than five. My daughter had just turned seven when we attended. This was a great age. Perhaps we received so much attention out of our small group, because my daughter was actually old enough to carry on a thoughtful conversation with the characters. There were several girls at our sitting, that I know were lost with what was going on. And they were too afraid to participate in the group activities or chat with characters.
The staff was great. Every detail was beautiful. We will always remember this event. This tea party is a wonderful, one of a kind Disney experience for families.
