Good food, excellent show, included guest in show

Cons:

Camera crew didn't offer our group picture

Good food and a lot of it. We have 2 picky eaters, both eat well. Several choices to drink. Birthday cake well done. Cast member brought food/drinks consistently.
Show has good singing, funny comedy. Included guest in show. One of the theater cast members talked with my son for a while and he loved it. We sat up top near the sound booth, would suggest that to others.
The camera crew (not sure what they are called) took our group picture and then we never heard from them again. Hunted them down after show and received a picture, later noticed one group got a different picture then the other two groups.
This show is good for all ages, our son doesn't like loud noises and this worked for him with his normal ear covers to "dull' out loud noises.

I was so glad we finally had the chance to attend this dinner show and would go again! The show is corny, but really funny and has a lot of audience participation which the kids loved. The food was good and really fit the type of show. The sangria was great and our server kept us and the kids supplied with food and beverages. We did have the family photo taken and it came out great! Was an overall good time.

We loved the Hoop De Doo, it was a great show and would love to go again. My daughter wasn't to sure of the show before we went, she loved it. The waiter was great and the cast members interacted with the audience during and after the show.
The only part I didn't like as we were walking to the Hall the sign was a little misleading, but we found it eventually. Great show and we would go again.

We attended Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue on the last day of our trip, July 28th. The revues are so good, I wanted to give it a try. We took the boat right from the Magic Kingdom. This worked out very well. We checked in just 4:30. The doors do not open until 5.
It is very cute inside. It is not a big place. We had category 1 seating, but everyone was seated on the ground floor. No one was in the balcony. I do hope that people did not get moved up in category just to fill the bottom floor. People should not get category 1 or 2 seating if they did not pay for it.
My family enjoyed the food...fried chicken, ribs, mashed pototoes, corn, cornbread, salad, and strawberry shortcake. The show consists of about 3 actresses and 3 actors doing a series of little skits and songs. There are a lot of breaks in between the acts. The show is very lively and fun, but very old-fashioned. My 11 and 13 year olds thought it was funny, but me... not so much. It is silly and very predictable. I don't particularly find snorting laughter and play on words that funny. I am glad we did it, but not in a hurry to do it again. I can't imagine this show surviving anywhere else but Disney. There are way better dinner shows other places.

My husband has wanted to do this since the first time we went to Disney a couple of years ago but I was just not interested. I don't know why I didn't want to do it sooner because we had a blast. Our waiter was great, kept bringing us Bud Lights that was included with the price which I thought was nice. It also included sangria and wine. There were other alcoholic drinks you could order but had to be paid for out of pocket. The food was awesome. Buckets of fried chicken that was awesome, better than the colonel's chicken, ribs that were good and saucy, mashed potatoes, corn and baked beans that were out of this world and I do not usually like baked beans. We also started with corn bread and butter. We ended with Strawberry shortcake that was good but nothing exciting. The show was funny. Silly, ridiculous humor. My seven year old even laughed out loud a couple of times. Great audience interaction too. I think that's what makes the show. I would say definitely do this once. I would certainly do it again.

I attended the show last night, and I must say I was disappointed. After thirty-some-odd years, the Hoop-Dee-Doo Polka has been taken out and replaced with a new (subpar, forgettable) opening number. The dinner call song has also been replaced. This show went from being one of my all-time favorite things to do at WDW to just an okay, overpriced dinner show. The new songs do not capture the spirit of show as well, and it really did affect the quality of the show. Before the musical changes, this show would have gotten a 10 all the way - now it pains me to give it a 5...

The only thing that kept this from being a total loss was the food and the beer. I drank a pitcher and a half by my self. If not for the alcohol induced euphoria, I would have hurled chicken bones at the stage. That being said, I am a Disney freak. This is the only thing that Disney has disappointed me with over 3 visits. I've had nothing but positive experiences except for this. I love everything Disney, even their make a buck schemes cause that's what makes America great, but this show is terrible, something you could see at any third rate amusement park like Tweetsie Railroad. Our waitress wasn't overly great either.

Our family tried this for the first time on May 30th. It was a great show and fun for the kids and for us adults. Our server started off with some spotty service but then got better as the night went on. I was excited for the all you can drink sangria but it tasted like watered down wine. My husband did take advantage of all the beer though! The food was plentiful and good and all of us enjoyed it - especially the fried chicken and strawberry shortcake.
We were staying at the Wilderness Lodge so getting there was a short, quick boat ride but getting back, we had to wait for a bus for 15 minutes or so.
We enjoyed the dinner and the show and would return for a future visit if it worked out.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime thing for our family. We did enjoy the experience, but for the price it wasn't really worth it. We had a party of 9, and we went to the 7:15 show. We left our resort at 6, drove to the Fort Wilderness campground, and took the bus to the show. It was an easy ride, but it did take about 40 minutes. Once we got there, we were lined up for the proverbial "family picture". Being the last night of our stay, I was sick already of the family pictures for $30! Oh well.
We had Tier 1 seating. We could clearly see the stage, and our party of 9 was seated together. The tables in the balcony looked like they had a great view of it all too, so I don't see a huge benefit in any particular seat actually. I think Tier 2 or 3 would be perfectly fine.
The food was good, not great. We ate two buckets of ribs. The sides were very nice. I liked the vegetables-they were crisp and tasty. I thought the ribs were kind of overdone, and fried chicken isn't my thing but I did try it and it was fine. The cornbread was great- wish they had the dressing on the side for the salad though. My kids don't like salad dressing, especially not italian (I think it was italian...). The strawberry shortcake was really delicious! The sangria was OK. I've had some pretty fabulous sangria in my day, and this doesn't compare, but our waitress was quick with the refills for all the drinks so that was nice. We never had to ask, she just brought out refills.
We mostly chose to do this dinner for the show, though. And the show did not disappoint. It was cute, and it held my very tired 2 year old's attention well. My 9 year old son especially thought the show was hilarious. To me, the show was fun, but there was perhaps too much audience participation. It took up about 20 minutes of the show, going around celebrating birthdays and what not. I thought the time when the actors were on stage doing their thing was entertaining.
Anyway, this show cost over $400 for us to go to. Definitely not worth that price, but it was a good thing to experience once. We might do it again some day if we were on the Disney Dining Plan and didn't have to pay out of pocket.

After seeing the show in 2009, we knew we had to come back in 2011! And it did not disappoint. The show somewhat changed due to the interaction with the audience. We were pleasantly surprised to see 3 of the 6 cast members from the 09 show performing in 2011. I'm thinking that this must be a testament to good management and casting at this dinner show. It is a must see!

The whole family went and we loved it. We had the disney dining plan and used 2 credits and it was worth it. It even included our alcohol and after a week with a 8 and 3 year old a few beers went a long way. I would do it again!

My 5th trip to Disney and I finally saw the show. Yes, it is corny and old-fashined, but I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes. My DS10 cracked up at the corny jokes and my DD8 is still singing the songs a week later. Even my sullen pre-teen DD12 was caught laughing out loud.
The food was good but I wouldn't call it great. The ribs were a little dry on the outside. And I agree with the poster below that way too much food goes to waste, especially the meat. I wish they would bring smaller portions then refill if needed.

Hoop Dee Doo is just our favorite show! We love how hokey it is and how hard our kids (7 & 12) laugh! The food is wonderfully unhealthy - great salad! corn bread, fried chicken and ribs. Unfortunately I've seen some shortcuts on the corn bread and strawberry shortcake - both were a bit dry this time around. Even though - we will return- it's just so much fun!

We attended the 5 pm show on November 20. Yes, the show is corny, but we enjoyed the show and the food was good and plentiful. Our waitress was very attentive, and made sure we had timely refills on both our drinks and food.
We were in category 3 seating, and we were seated upstairs, along the railing to the left of the stage. We had no problems seeing the entire show.
It was our son's birthday and one of the actors came up and wished him a Happy Birthday.

The show was cheesy but great fun. The food was all-you-can-eat ribs/chicken/cornbread/salad/etc.. and was really good. The servers were quick to refill and clear plates. Only con is the seating. We've been there twice now, and it seems that either you get a really good view, or a really bad view.
