This restaurant has so much potential, but it missed the mark for my family and me. When we dined here on May 13, the cast members seemed like they were just going through the motions and the service lacked that "Disney" touch. It also took quite a while for our server to come to our table and take our order. The food was nothing special; we all agreed that the ABC Commissary next door was just as good (if not better) and far cheaper. This was our first time to dine here, and unless something changes, it will be also be our last.

I loved this place. I've come to find that Disney dining comes in 2 flavors - either pay $$$$ for truly fine dining, or just enjoy good food in the fun atmosphere that only Disney can provide. Sci-Fi Dine-in falls under the latter category. Hubby said his burger was good, but later found it at a quick service counter for much less the cost. The theme can't be beat though. It is just so fun and totally immersive! The drinks were good, and our waitress was a sweetheart.

My family of 4 ate here for dinner on April 27th. We did not have ADRs and were initially excited that we were able to get a table fairly quickly as we had never eaten here in the past. The food was okay overall - my reuben was actually really good. The deal breaker for us was the slowness of service - for 2 sandwiches and 2 kids meals. After an hour, I took my kids back out to the park and left my husband to settle the bill. After another 20-30 minutes he was able to rejoin us. We had ADRs here for September but have now cancelled them.

I love Sci Fi. The theme here just can't be beat. We had lunch here during our recent trip. The burgers are so good. My favorite ones at Disney. The reviews on the food aren't always great but if you try a burger you won't be disappointed. The shakes are wonderful as well.

We had dinner here on Monday, April 8th. Seated promptly in a car. Atmosphere is wonderful! We love the cheesy old sci-fi movie clips! Food is always good. Our dinner this time included the salmon BLT with cucumber salad, picnic burger, reuben, a bacon cheeseburger, and a chocolate milkshake, which our server happily split for our children. Everyone enjoyed their food, the salmon blt was particularly good. Great service, wonderfully fun dinner.
This place will stay at the top of our favorites list.

I was looking forward to the Dine-in very much, I always enjoyed drive-ins and thought this would be fun for my fiance and I. Upon arrival, it was exactly what I wanted, dark, movie playing and dine in theme, very excited, then the server and food started to come. The service wasn't very good, didn't seemed like they enjoyed their job. Then the food, the milkshake was great, other then that, the buffalo wings didn't impress me. I would try this again even after the negative impact.

4/3 was our Second trip here and loved it, we had a party of 8 and had reservations for 4:45. Showed up at 4:30 and was sat before our time which was nice. 5 Adults had the steak and the 3 kids had Hotdogs and shakes. Other than the waiter, we had a great time, I really don't like being called Daddio which I heard about 100 times.

The theme of this restaurant is really cool. I get that it's gimmicky, and that's what I like about it. Below is the review of the dishes we ordered:
Chocolate milkshake - Really good and included as part of the dining plan.
Smoked Turkey Sandwich - Good but nothing special. The cucumber salad it came with was refreshing and had good flavor.
New York Strip Steak with blue cheese butter - Surprisingly excellent! The blue cheese butter is what it made so amazing, great flavor!
Peanut butter chocolate cake - Excellent! I really enjoyed this one.

We went here last year and loved it. This year my daughter was still very happy. She loved the food and the atmosphere. Our waitress was not friendly and she was hard to find when we needed something.

Party of 5 (me, DD15, DD14, DS12, and DD10) dined here during Mardi Gras break for my DD14’s birthday. This is our favorite restaurant at WDW and we eat here on every visit. Had made reservations online months prior, but could only get 7:45pm reservation. We were starving at 5:30pm, so we stopped by to see if we could get in early. The CM said that a table would be ready in about 10 minutes, but it wasn’t the normal car with 3 rows of seating; it was a table with the seats facing each other (3 on one side/ 3 on the other side) with a car part at both ends of the table. I said this was fine and we would wait for it. I reminded them of my DD’s birthday and ordered a cake for dessert. We were seated promptly and the CM was extremely friendly. I reminded him also of my DD’s birthday and the cake. We all enjoyed our food. I had the turkey club with cucumber salad, 2 DDs had the build your own burger with fries, youngest DD had kid’s meal burger, and DS had kid’s meal chicken nuggets and a chocolate shake. CM was over-to-top... checked on us frequently, refilling drinks, and gave the 2 youngest kids driver’s licenses for finishing their meals. He gave the birthday girl a glow cube which she loved. He came to me as we were finishing the meal and quietly said he was sorry, but they were out of chocolate cakes. They had sent someone to Mama Melrose’s to get us a cake and it would be here shortly. The wait was a bit too long for the cake and the CM apologized several times, but it was ok because we were enjoying watching the silly movie reel. Finally the cake came and even put candles on it. We all sang happy birthday to her and the CM took a picture of our group with my camera. The cake was just under $20 and it was larger than I thought it would be. The 5 of us ate one half of the cake and he gave a go-box to take the rest back to hotel with us. Even though we have always loved sitting in the regular cars, this table worked out great for us, allowing us to celebrate the birthday more easily. The entire dining experience was wonderful and reinforced in me why we love Disney so much. They have always provided us with that extra bit of magic that we will always remember.

The atmosphere is why you eat here. Cheesy B - D movies on a large screen and the car tables. The kids love this play for that alone. Plus it gives you a chance to sit and relax for a while. My son loves the milk shakes for sure. While food is standard fare, its good and at a reasonable price. Nothing outlandish, so you can get a good meal with entertainment here for a reasonable price. We always stop by here when at the studios and now its basically a must eat location. One thing I ordered the cucumber salad as a choice for fries and was warned by our server about them. Take my advice pass on these. I did not want more fries so I took the chance. Besides that the hostess was great and we very much enjoyed it again.

This was my husband's favorite restaurant after our 2003 trip and we had a couple meals after that, that were just not as good. Until this trip! My daughter loves the car and be able to watch the movie while she eats, which give me and the hubby some time to talk. Milkshakes are delicious, they have never disappointed us. The couple times we went that it was just ok, the concept and milkshakes brought us back anyway. We both got burgers with sweet potato fries and were back to being impressed like out first trip. My daughter finished her meal to but I can't recall what she had. I don't like how the bathroom is kind of hidden, made me nervous letting my daughter go alone which meant climbing out of a booth like car multiple times for a bathroom trip.

Loved the concept of the drive-in, and we liked the short movie promos and clips. The menu isn't anything special, but what we got was good--the turkey sandwich was fresh, and the buffalo chicken was good. It's fun to do once!

We ate here on Feb 3rd. My 7 year old specifically requested it so I agree. We had eaten here 2 years ago. Not much has changed since then. It's dark and people do not feel encouraged to talk during the meal. Honestly, you could take a nap in there.
Our waitress was functional. We had another couple seated behind us in a 3 row car. Our orders were taken at the same time but their food came out 10 minutes earlier than ours. Pretty weird.
The picnic burger was pretty good. My husband & I actually split that. The cherry coke was very good. They mix the syrup there so it isn't sickenly sweet like the canned cherry coke.
I agree with another post here that the movie loop is too short. It's maybe 40-45 minutes. Why don't they actually show a campy 50's movie?? That would be fun.

DH, DS12 and I ate at Sci-Fi for a dinner ADR in late November. The atmosphere was really, really fun! The old movie clips were wonderful and the whole "Drive-In" concept was so cool. We had a car to ourselves, with our son in the "Driver's Seat".
The service was over-the-top good! Our "Car-Hop" waitress was very helpful and friendly. She gave our son a "Driver's License" at the end of the meal that he really enjoyed.
The food was just okay. Nothing stellar. The milkshakes were awesome, but the burgers were just your standard QS fare. DH had the chicken pasta, which he thought was delicious.
Overall, I would definitely do this place at least once, just for the ambiance and service, but not the food
