Went here with my mom, DD, and DD's friend. We have never gone before and we're worried after seeing mixed reviews. Glad we went. Very cute theme! Loved the carhop, and the short films. Food was good, and the milkshakes are amazing! Over-all, this would be a great place to dine at! Try it sometime!

We have been here about 8 times. We go about two times a trip. This last trip the food was below average. Also, they do need to change the short movies. My granddaughter loves mac & cheese, But said the mac & cheese here is the worst she had at Disney World. She would not eat it. All four adults tried it and it was awful. Unless the food improves, we won't be going back.

My family and I love this place . We place reservations on line from back home and they were there waiting for us. We go here every time we come to Disney. We have had both types of seating and never once did we have to share a car. I think if we had to I would rather wait 20 min and yes we have kids in our group!. I would recommend this place to anyone who asked. Burgers are cooked to order which I am very picky about (it has to be in a mooing state). Can't wait to get back!!!!

Food is blah - not worth a meal plan in my opinion

Really cool atmosphere and the kids love to eat in a car. But that's where the good stuff ends. I have to burn a meal plan for a dry chicken sandwich. Very limited menu.

When we come to Disney(which is multiple times a year), we always make it our bussiness to come to Sci-Fi. This time we had the reubens which were really good and the turkey sandwich was yummy as well. I wish they would change those movies though because they become monotonious after awhile.
The chocolate peanut butter cake was good but for the money its not worth it, you can get a really good chocolate peanut butter cupcake at Starring Rolls cafe as a snack later on.

Had a 2PM ADR here on 9/21. We ended up waiting about an hour before we were finally seated as there seemed to be some sort of backlog with the ADRs. Once we were called though we were quickly seated in the rear of a "car" in the front row, and dead center, so our location was awesome for watching the clips.
We decided to split a BLT soup which was the best part of our meal, and we both agreed that we would return to just order the soup. Other than that I had the turkey sandwich and DH rueben. Both were just Ok. The flavor profile on the turkey sandwich was a little off, and DH said the rueben was pretty dry. The milkshakes we ordered for dessert (one alcoholic, one not) were both really good (albiet small).
Our server was fantastic! Nice, friendly, and vry quick for how busy it was. He kept joking about us being the newlyweds in the back of the car, and that there were two small kids in the front seat.
We are definitely planning on trying it out again, but definitely not ordering the same sandwiches.

Shared seating and the looping drive-in scenes
|
|
Our party of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) at here on 10/27 and had a great time. Well, 3 of us did, my 4 year old son was so pooped out that he slept through the ENTIRE meal! LOL
The hubby and I both had the Angus Chuck Burger and it was very good. And he's pretty picky about his burgers, too. They have to be made just right or they go back. My kids both had the meaty macaroni with fries and sundaes. Of course, they loved it.
The only true downsides to this eatery is that you have to share seating. I felt bad for the 2 people sitting behind us because we were a party of 4 with 2 kids. Luckily my kids weren't being "bad" but you never know! LOL And after 45 minutes to an hour of watching the same scenes, it gets tiring. Oh, and it's dark. You literally eat by the dashboard lights!
But, for some fun, something different, and some good food try it out. It's worth it.

Had dinner ADR on 10-24 and got seated well before our reservation! Our waitress was AWESOME and very attentive to our needs! Suggested food for us to eat and refilled our drinks even before they were empty! Love the theme of a drive in! Food was good and would highly recommend eating here!

LOVE Sci-Fi!! Had another fantastic experience there for lunch on 10/18. My party of 3 were on the deluxe dining plan. 2 of them had the spinach & artichoke dip and I had the BLT soup as an appetizer. They loved the dip and my soup was very good. All 3 of us had burgers and they were exceptionally delicious!! Juicy and perfectly cooked. 2 of us had the cheesecake for dessert and my cousin had the apple crumble. Everything was delicious and Sci-Fi is always a nice, quiet break during a busy day at the park!!

I really enjoy the theme of the Sci-Fi, it really is one of the best, but I can't understand how they get it to be so quiet. I had the BLT soup which is my personal favorite and the Itailian Grilled Chicken Sandwich which I did not like. The bruschetta had too much onion. I scraped it off and put mustard on the sandwich instead. For dessert it was the sugar-free brownie which was very good! Our server was not very friendly and I watched other tables wishing we could switch, but overall it was totally worth stopping in for lunch, if not just for the BLT soup.

We were at Hollywood studios and did not have lunch reservations. We were deciding between here and the 50's. We chose here and we were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was fun and the food was good. We went in expecting it to be every day food not what we had been eating at all of the signature restaurants and it was. The flavor was good we had the double dip and blt soup for appetizers. Neither one of us like tomato soup but liked the soup. Hubby had the Chicken Sandwich and I had the Reuben. His sandwich was good but mine was not the best I had ever had but it was ok. The Peanut Butter Chocolate cake and the Apple Crumble were both very good. We would both go back for the fun atmosphere.

Sharing a car with strangers
|
|
We ate here again because it is a sentimental favorite of our kids. We were a party of four and ended up having 2 strangers in behind us. I don't like this even though you aren't facing them and don't have to interact. It seems you should be given the option to wait for your own car of 4 or be seated earlier knowing that you would share a car. Our food was good and there are plenty of items on the menu.

Me and my wife ate here for lunch on 10/04. We were on the dining plan. We were seated 10 minutes before our reserved time in a car that we shared with a family of four. We both had the cheese burgers and we opted to skip the milk shakes and save room for the hot fudge sundaes. The burgers were great, cooked the way we asked for and the sundaes was awesome. The only complaint I really have is that they are stingy on the French fries (and that seams to be the case at all their restaurants even the quick serve).
