Pros: great food, great service, tranquility, decor
Cons: they need a separate lounge

This is one of my favorite Disney World restaurants and it delivers consistently great food, wine/cocktails and service. It is a serene and upscale (but welcoming) retreat from the theme park. A bonus is you can often get a same day reservation. I only wish they would install a lounge/bar since they have some of the best cocktails and wine on property. And yes,the Cobb salad is the best ever!

Pros: Delicious food, good service
Cons: None

We had a wonderful lunch at the Brown Derby! I was concerned about the negative reviews but our food was delicious and our server, Ashley, was exceptional! We had 11:35 lunch reservations so we were some of the first people there; we ordered 4 appetizers and 4 beers. The blue crab spring rolls and cobb salad were amazing and it was fun to taste beer we had never had before. We will definitely eat here on our next visit!

Pros: Fantastic Server & Excellent Food
Cons: Service was a little slow, not the best place for small kids

We are annual visitors of Disney and usually go to the Sci-Fi Drive In when we visit Hollywood Studios, but this year there were no reservations available, so we decided to try something new and ended up at the the Brown Derby. We are now in love with this place! Our server was amazing and went over and beyond to accommodate us (the hostess team was the same). The food we had was top notch and very well prepared. We ordered (party of 5) crab spring rolls and cobb salad as appetizers, bison, duck, and stuffed chicken for our entrees, and then we all had dessert. For dessert we ordered creme brulee, banana white chocolate mousse, and cheesecake. All were very good but our least favorite part of the meal. If not to hungry stick to the apps and entrees they were what made it all worthwhile.

Pros: food
Cons: slow, NOISY

This was our last meal on a ten day trip to Disney, on Jan 19th. We liked our server, Moses. Service was sometimes a bit slow, but we attributed that partially to him having a very large party, and several tables. He was very nice in accommodating my picky kids. I liked the decor, but the place was just downright NOISY. We were hoping for a somewhat quieter meal but no, it was just as noisy as most of the other Disney restaurants. I had the mushroom phyllo appetizer, and it was good, husband had the prawn and grits and liked it. We both had the filet and they were both cooked exactly to order and very good. We both had creme brulee for dessert and it was also very good.

Pros: Professional staff. Quick lunch service. Nice menu.
Cons: Not recommended for those with a plain palate.

My daughter and I split 2 appetizers and one entree. The crab spring rolls were delicious. The cob salad was finely chopped and very good but my daughter who likes a more traditional salad, was not impressed. I thought it was very good. The chicken entree was delicious although slightly well done but still good. the warm bread was excellent. Pricey but nice for a special meal.

Pros: Used our Tables in Wonderland card
Cons: mushy lettuce

This was our first experience at this restaurant and considering it is one of Disney's Signature restaurants I guess we were expecting a little bit more.

The atmosphere and service were good so no complaints there. There were 7 of us in the group and we didn't feel rushed either.

My husband got the appetizer portion of the Cobb Salad and I got the Crab Spring rolls. My spring rolls were delicious and the piece of crab claw was fantastic! Too bad there weren't more of those on there. My husband didn't say too much about his salad.

I ordered the Cobb Salad as my dinner entree as this is their 'signature' dish. I wish I had tried some of my husband's appetizer portion because if I did, I would have changed my dinner entree order. The lettuce tasted like it had been put through a blender! It was so chopped up it was mushy. The toppings were good but not like a 'wow!' It just wasn't that great. On the other hand, my husband loved his Seafood Cioppino. Our friend got the Duck Two Ways and enjoyed that too!

Considering the prices and not totally loving it, I don't think we'll go back here.

Pros: Fantasmic! package Thanksgiving week made it worth it
Cons: Food wasn't very good

Another over priced WDW restaurant that offers mediocre food. I had the pork chop and it was far too dry. DD had the fillet and that was also dry.

The only thing that made this worthwhile was the Fantasmic! package. We walked right in with no wait during Thanksgiving week.

I won't ever eat here again because the food is poor and it is way over priced.

Pros: food
Cons: SERVICE

Overall meal was excellent, service beyond slow. Took 10 minutes to be greeted by server, another 10 for a drink order. Our drinks were brought to the table 30 minutes after we sat down. It was not busy they just seemed understaffed. We were a larger party so the server may have mailed it in knowing he was getting a tip from us. It was disappointing being that it was 2 credits from the dining plan. I expected more, but we did enjoy food and would give another chance. Bananas foster and risotto were incredible.

Pros: great food and service
Cons: none

Ate at Brown Derby for the 3rd time on 9/19, and the food and service was exceptional, as usual. We all had the beef filet, and you could have cut it with a butter knife. My 11 yr old wasn't interested in the fancy sides, but they substituted fries, which made him very happy! All the desserts were fabulous. Almost too pretty to eat. Is on the pricey side, but well worth it. We were lucky enough to get a free dining plan, so that helped. And with the Fantasmic package we were able to get a reserved seat for the show, which meant we didn't have to go an hour earlier to be sure to get a seat. By far, our favorite restaurant on Disney property.

Pros: Service, Cobb Salad
Cons:

The service we received was exceptional, and the food was fantastic for both adults and children.I highly suggest the Cobb salad. It was enough for 4 adults to share and absolutely wonderful.

Pros: Food was delicious
Cons: Had to wait a long time

I've eaten here a number of times and the food is always fantastic. Doesn't matter what you get - you're going to enjoy it. However the only negative I can say is waiting for a table can be sometimes very long.

We had booked our reservations 6 months prior and the day of our meal the restaurant was running about 20 minutes behind....turns out it was actually running 45 minutes behind.

A number of people were very upset (some even spoke directly to the manager) but because they had held their reservations with credit cards because they were on the meal plans they were stuck and couldn't cancel. They should be given the option to walk away if they want.

Other then that food and service are excellent. I think the drawback is because it's a restaurant IN a park a lot of people try to walk in and get a table without a reservation and that can bottle things up.

Pros:
Cons:

This food is expensive, but it far exceeds the other options in HS. I am always disappointed in the quick service venues in this park. I had the duck two ways, it was great. I also had the banana toffee desert- so good!

Pros: Best desserts ever!
Cons: Expensive

We did the Fantasmic package and it was worth it! You pay about $55pp and get an app, entree, dessert, and non alcoholic beverage and it was wonderful. The food and service were amazing and they had the best desserts ever!! Their ginger blueberry cheesecake was everyone's fav including my dad who hates cheesecake! Its a bit pricey but worth it you are on vacation so go for it!
