I always liked this place for a good quick meal but my last visit in December 2005 was a mild disappointment. Gone were the great root beer floats they served. In fact, they don't even sell root beer or soft serve ice cream there anymore. I was in a hot dog mood that day so I ordered one and proceeded to the toppings bar. I found mustard but no relish, so I went to the counter to ask. I was told that they don't stock relish anymore. Hot dogs without relish? Huh? I will go back on a future trip and try them again but I was severely let down this trip. The hot dog was good but I still wished I had gone to Casey's Corner in the Magic Kingdom instead. My first stay at OKW was early December. I was quite impressed. Resort is quite spread out but that made for less traffic and quieter areas. CM's were quite pleasant and helpful. Bus service was among the best I ever had at any Disney resort. Didn't use it for swimming but walked around the main pool and it looked quite nice. Boat service to DTD was great. I loved this resort and can't wait to go back again next summer. Rating: 9 |
