Hidden Mickeys at Disney's Hollywood Studios

I visited Disney's Hollywood Studios on a sunny afternoon to check on a few Hidden Mickeys. I strolled along Sunset Boulevard to Rosie's All-American Cafe to verify if a new Hidden Mickey is still there. It is! Mickey's smiling face is at the right lower corner of a photo collage at the left side of the leftmost food order window of the cafe. (Thanks to Matt Mellarkey).

The image above is behind glass and is likely to stay a while, since it's part of the background design of the cafe. However, I do worry about display window Hidden Mickeys, as they can sometimes disappear when the window is remodeled. On San Francisco Street, a decent Hidden Mickey was made of food containers in a display window of a faux Chinese diner, "China Bowl Restaurant." Alas, this image is lost, and a new set of containers are in the window. Do they form a decent Hidden Mickey? Let me know what you think.

While on San Francisco Street, glance at this poster that has been in place for a number of years. The poster is entitled "The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights" and it hangs on a wall across from the San Francisco mural. A faint image of the Earful Tower is below a man wearing Mickey ears at the lower middle of the poster. (Thanks to Dick Larson).

Folks write me often and send me photos of Mickey images in oil and tar spots around Disney property. Well, wouldn't you know it! I stumbled across an image in oil that resembles Mickey near one side of the bus parking area outside the Studios.

Cool, right? The problem is, these images usually don't last long, but I thought I'd show you anyway. Mickey shapes that are embedded in the cement do last a long time, and that's good for Hidden Mickey Hunters. Like the one at the other end of the bus parking area outside the Studios, near the charter bus area. A classic Mickey is stamped in cement, about nine or so benches (and three light poles) from the main entrance promenade as you head toward the walkway to the BoardWalk Resort. Look across from the “CG” marker on the cement.

Now this guy is likely to stay put!

Dave:

On the "The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights" poster, upper left, there is another hidden Mickey. Looks like a sideways Mickey. That's the first thing that popped out at me...

Jim Dewalt:

I have a Hidden Mickey pic. While waiting at the dock at Fort Wilderness, the clouds formed their own Hidden Mickey and I quickly snapped a photo. It's not a very good picture but it shows up pretty well. I will forward it to you if you wish.

Deb Ragno:

In the image above of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights poster, isn't that a HM in the upper left corner in the lighter purple color?
