More Hidden Mickeys at Disneyland Resort

The next time you visit the Disneyland Resort in California, be sure to check out these Hidden Mickeys:

Tom Sawyer Island in Frontierland has an elaborate "Pirate's Lair" play area. Walk to the heaps of coins and look for three coins that form a classic (three-circle) Hidden Mickey. They're peeking out from under a wood plank that holds in the treasure at the right rear of the coin heaps in front of the blue pirate tarp. All the coins are glued down, so you can't move them around. Whenever you see collections of circular objects on Disney property, you'll likely find a Hidden Mickey or two! As you exit the theater for It's Tough to be a Bug in California Adventure's "a bug's land," stare up above you for a classic Mickey made of small round stalks. Find it on the wall to the upper left as you walk toward the second set of exit doors from the front of the theater.

Stroll to the lobby of Disneyland Hotel's Frontier Tower. In a hallway off to the left from the lobby, a black and white painting hangs on the right wall near the stairwell. A woman in the painting holds the hands of two children. Some of the images on her dress are classic Mickeys. (Thanks to Kim Bacon)

Holiday Hidden Mickeys at WDW Resorts and New Fantasyland

Each holiday season, I enjoy checking out Disney seasonal decorations for Hidden Mickeys. For example, the gingerbread displays at Disney World Resorts usually sport Hidden as well as decorative Mickey images. One of my favorite places to explore is the Epcot Resort area. This year, I spotted some cool Hidden Mickeys on the Yacht Club lobby holiday display. Look for tiny Mickey balloons in the trees:

And a white classic (three-circle) Mickey image on the front door on this cottage:

A Hidden Mickey is in impressions in the snow on the mountain on the back side of the display, to the left of the "Cape May" sign:

An intriguing lighted Mickey image is in the snow on the ground:

Hidden Mickeys are appearing in the New Fantasyland! Inside the Be Our Guest Restaurant, walk to the West Wing room and stand in front of the rose at the rear of the room. Now turn and look up to your right to spot an amazing Hidden Mickey hole in tattered fabric hanging from the ceiling. It's difficult to photograph this image!

I was lucky to come across Phil Holmes, Vice President of the Magic Kingdom, in the Bonjour Village Gifts shop in New Fantasyland! In the photo, he's standing in front of the tribute painting of him hanging on the rear wall of the shop.

Kudos to Disney creative folks like Mr. Holmes and the Imagineers for creating new imaginative Hidden Mickeys for us to find!
