Vickie and I visited the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue at Pioneer Hall in Disney's Fort Wilderness to enjoy the food and entertainment. Before the show, we acknowledged Davy Crockett inside Crockett's Tavern.
I photographed some of the lyrics of "The Ballad of Davy Crockett" posted on the wall. You can't read these lines without singing!
We always enjoy the down-home frontier food, like cornbread, fried chicken and of course, strawberry shortcake. One of the Pioneer Hall Players, Flora Long (a wonderful singer!), stopped by our table.
We saw folks we knew from Texas, the Fuller Family, sitting near the stage. Their son Wellborn was picked to act on stage with the Pioneer Hall Players!
Wellborn acted his part well and was applauded at the end of the show.
What a fun evening!
A couple of notes: The lyrics for the Hoop-Dee-Doo show music have changed recently, as the owner of the score copyright has retained rights to the main music. So Disney has reworked the songs, but the music is as rousing as ever!
Also, I'd heard of a Hidden Mickey inside Pioneer Hall, supposedly on the front of the neck of this deer on the wall to the upper left of the stage.
I'm still studying this image; what do you think?

i seen Hood-Dee-Doo love it need to go back now for the deer it close but i say no cooke the head part is not round enough

I'm gonna give that "hidden Mickey" a no. I just can't see it. Too faint and non-purposeful, in my opinion.

I can kinda see a Hidden Mickey on the deer's neck, but not so sure if I'm only imagining it's there because it's supposed to be - LOL!
Thanks for the article - I still haven't done Hoop Dee Doo but it's on my list of things to try in the future - perhaps when we return to The World next year we'll give it a go.

It is not very distinct, but I can see a hidden mickey on the neck, even with the narrower white line on the wall; about 40% in from the left edge to the right edge and about 60% down from the top edge to the bottom edge of the photo.

Hmmmmm there may be a shadow there, but without seeing it myself, I would have to give it a "wishful thinking".
Hoop Dee Doo is one thing I have never done. As long as I have things I've never done, I can keep going back ;-)
