Hidden Mickey Hunting in Epcot Future World

I explored Epcot recently on a sunny Valentine's Day. The park was only moderately crowded, and folks were in good spirits.

I like moseying around Walt Disney World most any day, and I'm always on the alert for the new and elusive Hidden Mickey. I also check to see if any have disappeared. One compelling Hidden Mickey in Future World has evidently been lost. On the large tip board in Innoventions Plaza, the Mickey-shaped Australia on the rotating earth that forms the "O" in "Epcot" is no longer there. The graphics have changed, so this Hidden Mickey may be lost for good. Very sad!

I traveled through the history of communications on Spaceship Earth several times. Someone told me that they thought they saw a Hidden Mickey on the computer screen as you create and experience your personal future while your vehicle is returning to base. I've chosen many different scenarios for my future, but I've yet to see Mickey. Let me know if you do!

Outside, I sensed that something was in the air at Epcot!

I can't wait for the flowers and topiaries and great music of the Spring Festival at Epcot!

Vanessa Gordon:

Hi Steve ! I am always on the look out for classic Mickeys and other characters....
Alpha from CA. has two photos for you to take a look at on the Facebook Allears page. She had no idea she was sitting next to Scar at Tamu Tamu until we pointed it out to her. She has also discovered a second lion face on Scar's shoulder. maybe a front face of Mufassa ?
