Off to Disneyland!

The photo you see here is a scanned image from an old 4×6 inch photo I took the last time I visited Disneyland in 1987. I hear it has changed a bit since then.

Next week, I will be going back to California and rediscovering Disneyland as well as discovering Disney’s California Adventure. Is there any attraction, restaurant, hotel, show or area you would like to request for me to take a photo of? Anything you have tried to photograph there in the past but was never satisfied with your results? Leave me a note in the Comments (see link at bottom of this post) and I will do my best to get if for you. If you do not want the comment posted, let me know and I will take your suggestion with me.

While I am traveling, you can follow @Scottwdw on Twitter for my photos and comments about Disneyland.

Hey, and if you are visiting or live close by to Anaheim, try and get to the AllEars.net Picture This! Disney’s California Adventure Photowalk. Click the link for all the details.

  1. I just want to tell you to have a great time! I visited Disneyland last month for the very first time! You should be able to get some great pictures of World of Color and the Dragon in Fantasmic…Radiator Springs at night has some great photo ops..

Scott replies: Thank you so much, Heather. We are doing the VIP seating for World of Color and I have been reading up on how best to photograph it and all the other night shows and attractions.

  2. Hi Scott! I love your pictures! As someone who is going to still have to wait a few years to see Disneyland, I would really love to see a compare/contrast of Disney landmarks between Disneyland and Disney World, maybe the things you found most surprisingly similar or different. Alternatively, I’d love to see recreations of your first trip’s pictures to see how the part has changed! I’m sure whatever you post will be awesome, that’s just what I’d love to see!

Scott replies: Oh, these are wonderful ideas. Will definitely give them a try. Thank you!

  3. Hi Scott –
Never having been to either California park, whatever photos of the parks you post here will be great. I’m sure you’ll work all your magic to make them look amazing. My requests are probably on the list of normally taken photos, such as Route 66 at dusk and night, Buena Vista Street at night, etc.
    Have a great trip!!

    – Jeff

Scott replies: Thanks, Jeff…I have my tripod all packed and ready to go.

  4. I think you should get photos of Cars Land at sunset, playing with different icons in Radiator Springs.

Scott replies: Great ideas, Lauren. Look for lots of neon!

  5. Have a great time in Disneyland!! My family and I went to DL for first time last summer after many trips to WDW. Be sure to go to the Aladdin show – it is one of the best shows we’ve ever seen in a Disney park. I’m sure you will love the new Cars Land – you’ll get some great pictures there! Can’t wait to see your posts!

Scott replies: Thank, Mike. Aladdin is now on our must do list.

  6. So happy that your going to Disneyland!! Sure wish I could go on the photo walk with you! I have been to Disneyland only once in 2005. We were only there a day so did not make to the California Adventure part, so I would love to see pictures from there!!!
Thanks, I look forward to seeing and hearing the results of your trip!! Have a magical trip from start to finish, I am sure you will, how could it not be, right?!!!

Scott replies: You are so right, Becky. I will be sure to get lots of photos from DCA.
