Disney Pic of the Week: Dumbo

Photographic Innoventions by Scott Thomas

I do not usually partake of the Fantasyland rides. Even when my kids were little, I let Mom do those rides. So, when this topic was proposed by Lisa, I sighed and had every intention of riding Dumbo the Flying Elephant on my very next trip. You know how it goes at Walt Disney World? Time gets away from you or lines become too long or it gets to late before a parade or fireworks show. About two years later, I finally got to ride Dumbo. In the meantime, Dumbo had been moved and had cloned itself. There was now a no-line queue under the Big Top which for little ones and their parents is a fantastic idea.

I used a wide angle lens to look across at the end of the ride when all the Dumbos are lifted as high as they can go. You get a good view of the new Storybook Circus area in Fantasyland from up there.
