American Adventure, a Telescope, and Paul Revere

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

Hear ye! Hear ye! Come one and all to American Adventure where colonial days come to life except at the counter service eatery. Pheasant is not on the menu.

Situated among wooden barrels, presumably filled with air, a wood and brass telescope can be used to look out over World Showcase Lagoon or down the “street” towards Italy. Surely, Paul Revere would have loved this instrument as a tool. He could have called out, “The Italians have gelato! And I think Germany has beer in glass mugs. I’m not really sure but that’s what it looks like.” Alas the telescope does not turn towards the United Kingdom he never would have known the British had to get through France, Morocco, and Japan before reaching America. Odds are by the time they finished hitting all of the gift shops and snacked along the way, they would have forgotten all about the original plan.

Paul, I salute you or curtsy or high-five you. Whatever you prefer. By the way, your rolling copper mill is falling apart.
