As an American, it is hard not to feel a huge sense of pride when visiting the American Adventure pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase. The Disney Imagineers did a monumental job in fitting together the history and elements of the United States of America in its art, accomplishments and architecture.
The pavilion itself was done in classic English Georgian style. Elements of the building were inspired by Independence Hall, Boston’s Old State House, Monticello, and Colonial Williamsburg. The structure’s 110,000 bricks are handmade from Georgian clay, which were then colored and aged to make them look authentic. The roof is made of slate and the floor of marble and copper.
Even at night, the American Adventure shines between Italy and Japan.
