Disney Pic of the Week – Resorts at Night

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

As I sit here trying to write something amusing about shooting resort exteriors at night, the only thing running through my mind is the theme music from Knight Rider. I haven’t even watched the smarter-than-the-average car show in a few decades. Let me steer my thoughts in a different direction.

When you’re wiped out from a long day of playing in the parks, returning to your resort feels like a second thrilling time is just minutes away. Yes, you long to plop down on the Disney comforter-covered bed and kick off your shoes. There’s a cold bottle of fruit infused water in the mini fridge calling your name. But before those things can happen, you need to get the kiddos ready for bed and check your work e-mail because your boss still doesn’t know where you order takeout from after 8 years.

So this week, Scott and I are posting images of those magical wish-granting buildings you slumber in.

I am hosting 2 meets at Disneyland on Wednesday, February 29th. These events will take place during Disney’s One More Day in celebration of Leap Year. You can sign up via Facebook. RSVPs are not necessary but help with estimating how many people I should anticipate. I hope to see you there!
