Cinderella Fountain statue in Magic Kingdom's Fantasyland, Walt Disney World, Orlando, Florida

For my Disney Pic of the Week on Fantasyland, I have chosen a different angle of this lovely Cinderella Fountain statue I showed previously as Queen Cinderella. Here she is her step-family’s maid holding one of her woodland friends with the shoppes of Fantasyland softly focused behind her. Tells a completely different story.

  1. Scott:
I am a fan of your work and really enjoy seeing your photo’s of the WDW parks. Have you ever taken a photo from this angle with more light on her face to give more detail?

Scott replies: I did try some fill flash but it didn’t come out to well. Too flat looking. Now, a reflector would have worked well here. Even someone with a white shirt or jacket would have put more light on the statue.

I’ll be trying this again from an even lower angle next time as there is more to this statue I want to show.

Thank you for your kind comments, Phil!

  2. I always love to photograph this fountain and never thought of changing the angle like that. I love it and this gives me a new perspective! Thanks!

Scott replies: Don’t forget, you can do the same thing with people. Low, high, eye level is all good when photographing at Walt Disney World. Thank you for your comment.
