There is no Mousefest for 2009 but there is something else and the name that is being bandied about is “Reunion.”
It’s an appropriate name because in fact many Disney Communities such as AllEars and WDWTODAY are planning a few things and as I write this blog I am just 72 hours away from my first Reunion 2009 meet.
Although this year will not be as frantic as other years there are still quite a few things on my dance card and among those are:
Thursday, Dec. 10th @ 3:00 P.M. – Dole Whip Meet
I cannot let a December go by without a Dole Whip Meet for everyone to start their Reunion merrymaking. I will be at Aloha Isle to do just that.
Thursday, Dec. 10th @ 8:30 P.M. – AllEars/WDWTODAY MVMCP Wishes Meet
For several years AllEars has been sponsoring this meet and the tradition continues as Mike Newell of WDWTODAY, Michelle Scribner-MacLean, and yours truly will host this meet in the Magic Kingdom’s Upper Rose Garden
Friday, Dec. 11th @ 1:00 P.M. – Kakigori Meet
Masayo Kano turned me on to Kakigori and so why not in turn introduce this treat to everyone going to the Reunion? This meet will take place to the left of the Japanese pavilion.
Friday, Dec. 11th @ 2:00 P.M. – The Great American Adventure Podcast
The American Adventure is my favorite attraction in all of Walt Disney World and now I get to podcast from inside the American Adventure. I am excited. This was a limited ticketed event and it has been filled for months.
Saturday, Dec. 12th @ 9:30 A.M. – AllEars Meet and Greet – Harumbe Fort at Disney’s Animal Kingdom
In 2009 this meet was very popular. This year Steve Barrett promises to give us some interesting things to see and do. Come meet the AllEars team.
Saturday, Dec. 12th @ 2:00 P.M. – Beauty and the Beast – Theater of the Stars
Why has it taken me so long to host this meet? Don’t ask”¦all I know is that this year I have made it a point to make time to see this show and the time is Saturday, December 12th @2:00.
Sunday, Dec. 13th @ 11:30 A.M. – The Disney Pyramid – Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland Terrace
I was very honored to be asked by the AllAbouttheMouse podcast to appear at this game and thought it would be a lot of fun so I will be there.
Sunday, Dec. 13th @ 2:00 P.M. – AllEars Club Cool Meet!
This is the maiden voyage for this meet and I can see a mad dash for the Beverly”¦NOT!

This is where the WDWTODAY podcast crew shows everyone how it all came about”¦Sip and Snack”¦and we recall some of the funniest moments.
So basically those are the sure-fire meets that are on my dance card. I do hope to attend some other meets, see old friends, make some memories, and enjoy Walt Disney World during the holidays.
I expect to be Tweeting while in Orlando and I expect that some of my AllEars colleagues will also be Tweeting as well.

Oh to be there, but that was not to be this year. You see, if I had planned to come, I would have had to cancel because today I will be at my father’s funeral. As I sit here looking out into the cold, dark morning, even in the midst of sadness, I am thinking about my friends who are at Reunion 2009. And this post makes me smile because it is written by a friend who shares my love of WDW. It has been written at the moment when I needed to “Think Disney”! So, as you celebrate these coming days, raise a Dole Whip for me! Have a wonderful time, friends!
