Epcot Holidays Around the World

Thank you to everyone who took the time to make suggestions for my Christmas blog. You're keeping me very busy and out of trouble. :-)

I've decided to break my Christmas blog up into a number of separate blogs. This blog will focus on Epcot's decorations. I also will do one on the decorations in Ft. Wilderness, Disney Resort Hotels as well as both Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. I have already blogged on all the Magic Kingdom decorations in my Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party blog.

So, here we go, following are pictures and videos that you requested and some that you didn't request:

There's lots of beautiful flower displays and topiaries throughout Epcot:

The American Adventure is decorated both inside and out:

There is a Santa's Village located just in front of where the Santa meet and greet is. The village consists of a number of little shops where you can purchase Christmas ornaments, stockings, tree skirts as well as dolls and other children's toys.

Located inside the Liberty Inn is a large gingerbread house. Inside the gingerbread house you'll find a Cast Member selling cookies and other treats.

Many of you asked to hear the Voices of Liberty singing holiday songs:

Here's some pictures of the American Garden Theater all decked out for the Candlelight Processional:

This is a video I took last year of the Candlelight Processional:

Also, in case you missed them, I did two blogs with videos of the Holiday Storytellers that are in the World Showcase pavilions in Epcot. Here are the links to the two part blog: Part 1 and Part 2.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the photos and videos! Let me know if you have and comments about anything in the blog. I'd love to hear from you!

I can't wait to be there! My countdown is on, and it is all I can think about.

Casey :

Thank you so much for sharing. We will be there in nine days. Seeing the pictures of the Christmas decorations and watching the videos just makes me more excited.
This is our second Christmas that we will be spending at Disney World. We first came in 2008. It is so magical!

Stacy Reed:

Gaudi:

Thanks for the pics. We will be arriving on Christmas Day and our first park this year will be Epcot. Have reservations at Via Napoli for our Christmas lunch!!!

Hi Mike,
It was so nice meeting you at the allears Meet & Greet . Everyone there was so friendly like we had known each other for years.

We went to Epcot on Tuesday morning and walked into Soarin and the Voices of Liberty were wonderful! We heard Jodie Benson at the beautiful Candlelight Processional and she was so sweet.

World Showcase was empty from 11 AM until about 3 PM! What a treat after the weekend crowds!

I'll always remember my 45the wedding anniversary!

DizneyMike replies: Cathy, it was great meeting you as well. It's really fun for me to be able to put a face with a name. I really appreciate all your comments! Thank you for being such a loyal reader of my blog; it's much appreciated...Mike

Shirley Garcowski:

Mike: Thanks so much for including the video of the Voices of Liberty. It took me back a year ago when we were there around this time. That's my dream job--a member of Voices of Liberty (although not so sure how I would like those heavy costumes in the summer!). Merry Christmas, Mike. - Shirley

Beth:

We were there for this last year and seeing the photos brings back alot of memories. I can't wait to go back again one day during the holiday season!

Judy:

Thanks for your joyous Christmas postings. We can't be at Disney this year, but your reports help recall many magical memories. Thanks especially for the video of the Voices of Liberty--no trip to Disney World is complete without hearing their beautiful voices and their Christmas performance is extra special. Thanks again and have a wonderful holiday season.

Wendy Crober:

Thanks so much for all your pictures Mike. It's lovely to see everything when we can't be there.

Wendy

Johnny:

Great job, Mike!

Thanks for the pics and videos. We always stop in to listen to "The Voices" but I've never gotten any good video of their performances. Now, thanks to you, I've got some great footage to view whenever I want.
I know I already mentioned last year how unhappy I (and everybody else) am that Epcot did away with the Lights of Winter...but why did they have to cut out the Tree Lighting Ceremony? It was so nice when all the characters came out onto the little stage and made a big ta-doo about the whole thing. It just doesn't make any sense why Disney would do away with all these things that us guests all love so much.
Disney needs to wake up and listen to what their guests want!

Sorry for the rant. And thanks again for the excellent blog. ~ Johnny.

Darren:

Great photos Mike. We usually go to WDW every December, but haven't this year, so these images have brought it all home exactly what we have missed out on this time.

I liked the Storytellers pics, but any chance of photos from Pavilions other than American Adventure?

Darren:

Mike, just seen the World Showcase Garland feature also. Great Epcot photos, thanks.
