No, Björn Again did NOT perform this year at the Sounds Like Summer concert series. As you may know, they were dropped from this year’s schedule at the last minute due to legal issues. And you may also know that Björn Again is my favorite of all the tribute bands that perform at the Sounds Like Summer concert series. So, you may ask why am I blogging about a band that is not performing this year. Well, when the original schedule was released by Disney, Björn Again was scheduled to perform for 11 nights. (The longest of any of the groups.) Because my wife and I planned to go into Epcot for all of those 11 nights I now have a lot of time on my hands. I thought “why not write a tribute blog about a tribute band“. Brilliant, I know.
I am an ABBA fan! I love their music! The number one CD in my car stereo is ABBA Gold. I saw the play Mamma Mia! on Broadway in NY and the last movie that I saw in a movie theater was, you guessed it, Mamma Mia!. However, I never got to see ABBA in concert. That’s where Björn Again comes in. To me they are my ABBA. I couldn’t believe my eyes and ears the first time I saw them as they walked onto the America Gardens Theatre, wearing authentic ABBA costumes, and then hearing their beautiful voices singing those ABBA songs that I love so much, WOW, I was hooked! I finally got to see ABBA in concert.
So, following is my pictorial tribute to that wonderful ABBA tribute band, Björn Again:
Anyway, maybe now you can understand my disappointment over Björn Again not performing at Disney this year. I’m hoping that whatever the issues are get cleared up in time for next year’s Sounds Like Summer concert series and that Disney puts them on the schedule.

Truly a bummer to not be able to enjoy some fantastic ABBA music this summer. I saw Bjorn Again last 4th of July and they were a treat. The others in my party were hesitant to check out the show, at first, but once they heard the familiar harmonies, they were hooked! In fact, I got three of ’em to go see “Mamma Mia” on Broadway in September.
I hope they get the legal stuff straightened out so we can maybe catch them next year @ WDW. Now, all I need to do is find a keyboard with that backward “B” and I’ll be all set
Thanks for the Bjorn Again tribute blog! I just happened upon them last year on the 4th of July when I was at Epcot. I have to admit I really enjoyed it and promptly went home to download some ABBA songs to my Nano. I was looking forward to seeing them again this year. Oh well, hopefully next summer.

I hope you got to see Björn Again at the theater in Orlando. I was not going to the show, but when I checked the theater’s website about 2/3 of the seats were sold. It seems the only other shows coming up in North America this year are in casinos in Iowa.
