Contributing photographer Jason of disneygeek.com sends us these photos from his trip to the parks on Friday, March 22, 2013.
Decent lines at the ticket booths this morning as I arrived at the parks.
The Disneyland Train Station on Main Street has reopened.
Spring is in bloom around the park.
Stopped by the Royal Theatre to catch a performance of Tangled.
Mr. Smythe and Mr. Jones open the show.
Mother Gothel and Rapunzel
Ive Got a Dream (Clip)
A clip of I See the Light being performed.
A clip of the finale.
Walking through Frontierland.
As part of the Big Thunder Mountain refurb the town of Rainbow Ridge is being rebuilt.
The Mark Twain is still in dry dock.
A couple of clips from the Columbia. First up a train of the Disneyland Railroad passing by. Then over to the other side to catch the cabin.
Once back on the mainland walked through the Big Thunder Trail and out to the Ranch. Thought this goat looked rather lazy with its leg out that way and sitting atop the barrels.
Looks like they have paused the Small World Mall painting project during the spring break rush. No scaffolding up this week, but still three or four towers to go.
About two months to go until the new Mickey and the Magical Map show debuts in the Fantasyland Theater. Lighting and other rigging is being installed.
In Toontown Goofy’ss Backyard has reopened. Looks like they may have resurfaced or at least cleaned it.
Over to Disney California Adventure now. In the Pacific Wharf Cafe there is Easter Bunny shaped bread this week.
Noticed these new Red to the Rescue Firefighter hats in Cars Land ($24.95 each).
I bet the blue car wins!
Back to Disneyland.
The exterior of the Main Street Train Station looks great. Look at the ceiling above the queue.
The scaffolding around the new arch at Coke Corner is gone. Now just awaiting the signage and lights.
Walked through the Market House and Disneyana Shop. It was officially announced this past week that both will be closing in April to make way for the new Starbucks on Main Street. Should be interesting what this looks like after the conversion.
Over at Disney California Adventure the drink stand has returned to Bugs Land.
Walked through the Mad T Party.
The light has been fixed on the Packard at Oswald’s. Both were on this evening.
A look at the Market House windows on Main Street. They have been updated recently for Spring/Easter.
This week all the lights were on at the Fantasy Faire.
Hope you enjoyed this highlight tour of the Disneyland Resort. For additional photos and details from this trip you can check out the full Disneyland Update I posted on my site, http://disneygeek.com Also be sure to follow me on twitter @disneygeekcom for pictures from the parks.
Hi Jason,
Great pics as always. I wish I can go to the Disneyland Resort more often. Your updates satisfy my needs of Disneyland and DCA.
Anyway, your clip of the DL train from the Columbia looks like the “Lilly Belle” car was tagging along. Such a beautiful car. I got a chance a half dozen years ago or so of getting a round trip ride in it all by self. Except for a conductor “chaperon” of course.
Looking forward to the next update.

Doug,
Thanks for visiting and glad you are enjoying the pictures and they help fill the Disney void. Yes that was the Lilly Belle you can get glimpses of through the trees.
