The International Flower & Garden Festival at Epcot began this past Wednesday (March 2). It's one of my very favorite things at Disney World and I was thrilled we were able to make it over to Epcot on March 6. Disney really outdid themselves this year on the festival!!
We entered Epcot through the resort entrance in between France and the United Kingdom pavilions. We made our way to the front of the park and then back through World Showcase once it opened. ]
The signs for the festival were all over the park:
Peter Pan, Captain Hook and the Crocodile were at the United Kingdom pavilion:
The Tea Garden was back at the UK pavilion as well:
Canada's garden was beautiful:
Next to the Canada pavilion, there was a 'garden' of vegetables and fruit. This pineapple caught my eye:
At the World Showcase entrance, the Cars topiaries weren't ready yet. So, these were there as placeholders:
There was a play-area set up along the path near the Canada pavilion:
Along the same path, there is a sand sculpture in progress for the new Disneynature movie, African Cats.
The flower quilt is spectacular:
This year, the butterfly garden is Bambi themed. We really enjoyed walking around it:
Winnie the Pooh (or Pooh Bear) and friends topiaries were in the center 'garden' behind the fountain but before the entrance to World Showcase. Rabbit even had a garden! The updated theme song to Winnie the Pooh was playing around the topiaries.
Pixie Hollow is now located near MouseGear:
Along the path near the meet-and-greet (along the path going to Test Track), the fairies in topiary form keep watch over their garden. The flowers are very whimsical. There are activities like find all the fairy topiaries for the kids.
Stitch was at Mission Space:
These were near the Festival Center entrance:
I enjoyed exploring the Festival Center. The events looked very interesting. The Flower & Garden merchandise was lovely this year:
They were projecting flowers onto the ceiling of the Festival Center:
Mickey, Minnie and Pluto were behind Spaceship Earth:
Donald and Daisy were on opposite sides of Mickey, Minnie and Pluto:
The front of the park was Toy Story 3 themed:
Another look at the flower quilt:
The floating flowers are always something to behold:
At the Mexico pavilion, you can see these gorgeous birds:
The troll was at Norway:
Pandas were at China:
Rafiki, Simba, Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King were near the African Coolpost:
Snow White and the 7 Dwarves were located near the Germany pavilion:
Rapunzel's tower has been added to the village near the Germany pavilion. Rapunzel can be heard singing from the tower:
Lady and the Tramp were at the Italy pavilion:
Mickey and friends were at the America Pavilion:
Aladdin was at the Morocco pavilion:
Characters from Beauty & the Beast were at the France pavilion:
Perfume bottle topiaries were near the fountain at the France pavilion:
Aurora and Prince Phillip and Cinderella and Prince Charming were dancing along the bridge:
We really enjoyed this year's festival. I'm hoping this won't be my only visit this year. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!
Have a MAGICAL day!!

Great pictures, my teenage son and I have a competition going this year, there are apparently 75 topiaries, so we have a tick sheet and a prize for the first to get a picture of all the characters and check them off the list
I think it will be a lot of fun

Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. It made my day since I'm stuck here in the frigid mid-west. Day dreaming about Disney always warms me up!

We were there on the same day as you guys! I was sad to see that Lotso and the Cars characters weren't ready yet... but I noticed that the World Flag topiaries match up to the countries they'll be featuring in the World Grand Prix in Cars 2, so I'm guessing that Finn, Lightning, and Mater will be in the center under the race flag archway. We're going again this weekend and I can't wait! :)

Thank you so much for these pictures. They were terrific! As we are going down in October, it makes me wish they kept them around all year. Maybe a special trip for next years Garden Show?

When I visited, Lotso was there, but I did not look for the Cars ones. It did smell like strawberries, but maybe I passed the Cars one. I only saw the flags....

In the picture of the English Tea Garden Sign, in the upper right-hand corner: Do you know what that weird looking tree is called? I saw the tree and took a picture of it in January. Since then I have asked around and tried searching on the Internet to no avail. I wouldn't say I'm losing sleep over it, but I'm curious to say the least!
