After 20 years of operating water sports activities at Walt Disney World’s Contemporary Resort, Sammy Duvall’s Watersports Centre closed its doors yesterday, Aug. 31, 2018.
A long-time AllEars.Net advertiser, Sammy Duvall’s was THE place on Walt Disney World property if you wanted to parasail, water ski, wakeboard, go tubing or enjoy playing on the water. Their closing, however, does not affect the water-based activities at other Walt Disney World locations — you can still book fishing excursions, rent watercraft or book specialty cruises, and learn to surf. Check our individual resort fact sheets to find out which activities are available.
If you have a future prepaid reservation with Sammy Duvall’s, they will issue a refund to the credit card used for your reservation. If you have a future unpaid reservation you should have received an email cancellation notification.
If you have any questions regarding your refund, contact Sammy Duvall’s at 407-939-0754.
If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel and you’d like to add recreation activities contact the front desk of your hotel or call 407-WDW-PLAY for more information.
Any news as to why this happened or whether anything will be replacing it?
DEBK replies: Sorry, no, we only know that they’re closing. They didn’t release any additional details.
