Día de los Muertos Celebrations Return to Disneyland Resort

If you’re visiting Disneyland Resort this fall be sure to join in the return of some special Día de los Muertos seasonal experiences in both California Adventure and Disneyland parks.

All of these experiences celebrating Día de los Muertos will begin September 7 and continue through November 2, 2018.

California Adventure:

Once again the Disney Pixar movie Coco is central to the Plaza de la Familia festivities in Paradise Gardens. When visiting you and your family can share memories of loved ones at the interactive Memory Wall.

You’ll also get to enjoy a Mexican Árbol de la Vida (Tree of Life) photo location. Plus, this year there is a mask making craft that depicts an alebrije (spirit guide) from Coco.

Don’t miss out on the immersive art exhibit The World of Coco along with the touching Mariachi music performed on the bandstand – all while enjoying tasty Mexican food at Paradise Garden Grill.

A Musical Celebration of Coco will be performed several times daily. It brings together the Storytellers of Plaza de la Familia and the Grammy-award winning Mariachi Divas for a fun, festive combination of music and dance that tells the inspiring and enjoyable story of Miguel’s journey in Coco. New this year, the singers and authentic Folklórico dancers will be joined by Miguel, brought to life in a whimsical, hand-crafted style inspired by traditional Mexican folk art.

Be sure to make a stop in Cars Land because the citizens of Radiator Junction will be remembering Doc Hudson (the Fabulous Hudson Hornet) with an ofrenda (remembrance altar). You’ll find the ofrenda at Ramone’s House of Body Art.

Disneyland:

Frontierland‘s Zocalo Park will be colorfully decked out with a display in honor of Día de los Muertos.
